Christmas Event - "Special Christmas Adventure"

Ok so is it correct to assume that they have just not yet released this special adventure this year that was talked about in the notes about the Christmas event? Someone in my guild said they were told that this advent was a random return from explorers... or that it was given randomly when completing other advents. Can we please get some clarity on this? Thanks.

I have looked all over the forums and so far nothing has been discussed about this yet.
