Both Ares and Zeus are down, both ahead of schedule, and with no word from the admins of yet
We really need to work on our communication, lol. Downtime is much easier to overlook and forgive if I can find an acknowledgement of the situation.
The current consensus seems to be that it's a server crash, and if correct, this being Sunday night, it may take a little while to get any feedback
I can't find any information if they will come back up before they do maintenance. Has anyone heard anything?
I kind of doubt that they'll bring them up before maintenance but it might make the end of the world more interesting with both worlds being down.

Ya servers are still down, closer to an hour or so downtime, no update on the forums or news/homepage. Even sunday night someone should at least be on call and have a SOP to follow for an event like this, but apparently either someone dropped the ball or they never felt informing the customers was anything to worry about....
This happened on two separate servers?
Perhaps they realized the only way to keep the event fair was to do that.
Either that or their recent update had a big bug that caused them to both crash at the same time.
[edit] are there more than two? Is the event being done on more than two server? It sounded like they were saying that in the lead up to it but I am not sure.
I only know of two North American servers. The event thread doesn't specify whether or not we're competing internationally.
Yes...we are competing internationally...so alot more than just 2 servers.
Ares will set the bar for the competition, and then Zeus and every other server will jump over it lol
On their information page for the event it says:
"This is a worldwide event in which every game world is pitted against the others in an epic battle to try and save their world!"
So if we get set back a week and the others do not we will be at an unfair disadvantages. These things happen I know, but my understanding from, reading these forums is that they should be better protected against it by now.
