My new years resolution is to stop meeting women in the mayor's mansion, love potion or not, and settle down in a regular house with one fair woman.
My resolution for the new year would to get to level 50 so I can enjoy some brew because I earn it.
My settlers vow, to be self-sufficient with both silos and watermills and stop having me build fields and well every single day :-)
I do hereby resolve to henceforth desist from, and nevermore engage in the embarrassing and detrimental activity of drinking the brew prepared for my troops. At least I'll stop as of next Tuesday...or so
My settlers resolve to get a ship load of buxom women from a fair land across the sea. Either that or a Brothel!
My settlers resolve to have huge families, create a strong economy and assemble enormous armies to conquer ALL!
The fate of nations is intimately bound up with their powers of reproduction. All nations and all empires first felt decadence gnawing at them when their birth rate fell off.

i see a problem in this up coming year that needs to be address. we have alot of players that will be reaching level 50 over the next few months. what then? settlers is going to need some changes for us to have a happy and enjoyable future ( the changes that were made in 2012 were great!!). i play everyday and im level 42. i really enjoy the game and the friends i have made (a lot of them are level 44-50). so where is the future fun going to come from if we dont get new adventures and or player verse player options soon? we enjoy ourselves now but players will be getting bored of the same old same old. my resolution is to keep the friendship and fun alive, encourage new friends, help others and for all of the players to ask the people that run the settlers to help us with the changes needed so we can continue to reach new highs in the game.
Bilulu is the accountant of B00bastic island, he does not understand why the number of economic overview has to be based on 12 hours, he hopes B00bastic will like his idea of putting the economic report in an hourly rate, Bilulu believe this way is easier to manage the production chain.
I will start to try to stop play TSO at work !
My settlers new years resolution is to take control of the whole island.
I've surveyed my settlers and composed a list of the most common resolutions around the island.
Carpenters resolve to "at some point get around to fixing up the rotting wooden sheds we're calling sawmills"
Farmers have vowed to "read that book on crop rotation and think about trying something besides wheat"
Fishermen are thinking of keeping a stash of breadcrumbs to lure fish themselves, rather than waiting around for the mayor to notice they're hauling boats for miles and miles.
Miners hope to invest in a proper mine cart, so they stop breaking their backs dragging buckets around.
Geologists are working on being able to locate further deposits in mines without collapsing the structure.
Personally, I hope my male settlers lose a bit of weight. And it would be nice to see the women out and about more often.
The settlers on my island are all working toward actually have a positive production on all items. Also the foresters promise to quit going to the brewery between plantings....
Starting January 1st, I'll start training my recruits to toughen up and become a veteran warriors that could stand up to the toughest bandits and any other invaders out there.
The consensus on our island seems to be that for new years, we plan to eat as much fish, sandwiches, and have lots of picnic's (with baskets!) next year! Moreover, we resolve to minimize all output beyond food, so we can focus on lots of food production, feast feast feast!
Though I am still fairly new to this wonderful world I aim to make it beautiful and enjoyable for all the citizens who have enjoyed it so much they have decided to make my world their permanent home. With the ability to rotate buildings and have harmonious surroundings would make things so much better that more and more and more citizens would want to make my world their home :)
As Settlers our goal this coming year is to somehow make peace with the Witch of the Swamp, as we are all pagans it is very important for us to have the Witch be a part of our community. We'll see, otherwise her adventure awaits. Happy New Year!
My settlers have vowed to figure out a way to actually do significantly MORE damage with their fancier swords and not just somehow use them as armour to absorb more damage. They have also pledged to find a way to start making ARMOUR in addition to swords.
My armies have made the resolution to try really really hard for each soldier to actually manage to use fewer swords. They say that wearing a swordbelt with 10 swords in it makes them popular with the ladies, but I think they are just showing off.
Have many goals. But as for true resolution. Get certian things under control. Like life, love, and happiness! To be able to support my fellow beings and to make a child smile least once a day. To make one persona day abit better even if its just a Hello. For all hopes and future dreams of everyone about! Good Luck and Happy New Years!!!
My resolution is to play less of this addicting game and get back to more of my life, thank you. There I said it.
my settlers have told me that their resolution this year is to work harder and drink less, spend more time with their families in their homes and to stop taking advantage of me and what i do for them. i have also made a resolution to build them roads so they can walk easier and not have to trapple through the forest and swim across the lake to complete their jobs.
My settlers will eat bread, drink brew and be merry.
It is the time for making resolutions I want to be able to buy more Gems so I can have more buildings.
December 27th, Thursday 1985-
The cold breeze welcomes my cavalry and militia with little solace, weakening their spirits as long as we all must endure this battlefield. This New Years I want to finally take over Wild Mary and her devious camp, for years her treachery has tormented our homeland. This is our chance to strike back with vengeance and take back our glory for good, with the spoils in hand and restored freedom for all the settlers.
Sincerely,
General Wildheart
My settlers new year resolution is to dig a deep gem pit.
Krashaun (the head settler) called a meeting to all settlers at the mayors house today. Krashaun told me after a few to many brews from allot of the settlers and some nasty brawls, they finally came up with a New Year resolution they could all agree upon. They would like an island like the Bahamas to go to for one day just to relax and enjoy time with their families. So for one day out of the year 2013 they would like to be able to use a vacation mode. This meaning as many settlers as you have working you get the same amount done for one day while the settlers take a day off. Until this could happen they promised to keep working hard to produce everything. I told them I could not promise it would happen but would post and see what happens if Ubisoft can make this resolution reality for them. So Ubisoft what do you think can ya help my settlers out?
We, th undersigned settlers of Clorkan's domain, hereby resolve to provide instruction to our controller to make his policy less cumbersome and, hopefully, more profitable. This we have thought long and hard on, since he has slowly drawn us into near ruin on many occasions. Hopefully we can turn him into something less of a noob and more of a player.
Clorkan's Realm
On the morning of December 22nd, The McButterstuff clan slowly crawled out of their primitive underground shelter and realized, to their amazement, that the island was still intact. The world had not been destroyed! As more and more clans crawled out from their shelters, coming to the same realization, angry murmurs began to arise. The voices rose from low rumblings to angry shouts as the clans now realized they had spent the past year preparing for an event that never came. All that time digging, the hoarding of food, clothing, swords....it was all for naught.
It was then that the Mayor appeared on the third floor balcony of his luxurious mansion, holding a chilled martini with three olives. He held aloft his glass, in a mock toast to the settlers, and a sheepish grin spread across his face.
"Well....better safe than sorry eh?!?!", he bellowed loudly taking a big swig of his drink. "Alright...party's over...back to work then!"
A young settler, perhaps ten years old, walked forward and motioned to his father. His father bent down to hear what the boy whispered in his ear. Nodding, the father motioned to his other sons who immediately sprang into action. Other settler clans knew what had to be done and joined the sons as they began piling dry hay up against the base of the mayor's estate. The boy lit his father's torch and began walking towards the pile of hay. With a flick of his wrist, the boy sent the torch into the pile of hay as the mayor screamed in protest. As the mansion became engulfed in flames, the smiling faces of the settlers washed in reddish orange light, they knew that this year was going to be different.
I never make resolutions, the only one I ever kept is an old one - never to make any more! My Favourite Gen, Grimly De'Ath, resolves to kill even more wayward bandits in farflung lootspots!
My cavalry's New Years Resolution is to stop eating 40 full grown horses each... I think they're finally realizing how gross that is.
This new era, on late winter's deepest nights, we will strive to make an alliance with the elves and the dwarfs to to turn back the forces of Darkness rising in other lands.
It is the time for making resolutions I want to be able to buy more buildings.
My new years resolution is to game more and be the best!
To be cheerfull, greatfull, honorable and to be a valued player and member of the settlers community!
For 2013, we at Grady's have decided to take it easier every once in a while. We have identified some Holidays that need to be observed, celebrated and commemorated. This will increase morale, happiness and overall quality of life. After all, there has to be a couple with presents exchanged and who doesn't LOVE presents!!! :)

It is the time for making resolutions I want to be able to buy more for my island.
on Conpetres Island the settlers and the mayor gether to make resolutions for the New Year, As the chossen spokesman for the differnt resourse arose and addressed the mayor, on a recent concern
what of these rumors of war
Yes he had heard those same rumors, also that the attacks maybe on out laying islands and plans were being worked on to keep the attacks off thier home island, they would be ready when the time came. He had been in talks with the Mayors of the Guilds other islands and they also were getting ready to lend support, if needed as we would assits them if a time came.
Nods went around and soft murmers.
one stood to speak asking if any further thougts on a shipyards to build thier own fleet.
the mayor slowly shook his head not at this time. maybe in the future.
then this is what we offer to the people of our island
1 an increase in production, with greater benifits for housing and comforts
2 more weapons production, and horses trained to assits the army.
3 plans to look into the building of a shipyards,
4 possibly look into an improved hospital, to help heal our brave troops
as each member stood, in agreement,
the Mayor lifted a mug in salute to the portrait at one end of the room other followed suit,
To our lora, may she long rule here.
the toast was echoed by all, as they drank then made thier way out to join thier families and to the awaiting feast lora had sent for people of Conpetres to celebrate the ending of one year and the start of another
In 2013, my Settlers will stop drinking so much brew.
My resolution is to catch up to my husbands level. I am level 37 and he is at 47, he started before I did though.
My New Years Resolution is to cut back on the amount of Brew I drink so I can stop wasting Gold Ore mines that are not buffed.
~The Gold Miner~
My settlers New Year's resolution is to perfect gene alteration therapy, so that they can actually reproduce female setts that actually look like female setts.... Heard one mumbling something about coping a feel on someone thought to be the girlfriend... but turned out was, in fact, nowhere near the person that it was supposed to be.:o:o
My resolution is to save more money so I can work my debits off.
