My Settlers new years resolution is to clear out the last of the bandits plauging our island once and for all!

My settlers this year have decided to stay off the brew long enough to figure out which end of to pole to use while fishing. After that it's open bar!
My General's resolution is to see if we can do 2 adventures a month with minimal losses...
my resolution is to get my first friary.
My settlers are the industrious sort and resolve to upgrade every farm/silo to level 5 before the harvest season this year.
In 2013 my settlers will clear their island of bandits.
I am proud to announce that our famous settler, Bob the builder, has accepted her majesty challenge to build a Dark Castle! It has been heard that he'll even put his life on the line by joining William "the veteran general" Wallace in his epic adventures in hope to find the knowledge to build such a complex architecture. My New Years Resolution
I Wish Raykillsalot the settler would just live up to his glorious name and finally gain control of his island. To do this, how ever, He must first conquer all those bandits,gain the ability to create coin,and above all else be able to farm enough resources. Falling asleep in some pine rocking chair with his belly stuffed from Christmas and the holidays will not get the job done.
Failure just dont happen its a choice you make!!!

Sorry because the grammar, I'm not an native Englishman. Please tell me where I made my grammar errors (I will chack the words my self, but I won't corrigate here) in order to learn this language even better. (This time unusual I try my writings whitout any dictionary to test my self.)
This is not for contest, but try my self write something funny practice foreign. I hope I'm not bore anyone with my practice, but with this many peoples I can learn better.
Story: My accepted application for this job.
Two young settlers walking on the forest. One is a small guy with a helmet with two wings on the two side, blond hair and mustashe. The other guy is quite big with red hair and mustashe. He have a relative small hemlet with two small horn on it form a cute version of a typical horned helm and cute little white dog.
These two strange people carry wild boars. The smaller one carry only one wild boar. The bigger one carry anyhow at least six wild boars. Soon they heard a strange noise from the direction of the village of they. They started to run with the boars and reach the village quite soon. When they get inside they see most of the peoples are lay on the ground with typical mark of fighting. Some of the settlers are on the houses or looking out of the ,,new windows/doors". The bigger one start to yelling:,, Oh, how rude you all are leave me out of fun".
Soon a magician appear and start to say: Oh, for the name of Tutatis what are you have done? If you do this what the peoples start to think of us?
Somebody of the dizzy crowd: But we just have some fun... I mean serious Philosophy about the freshment of the fish.
Magician: Do you know why the hostile neightbourns didn't attack?
Crowd: Why?
Magician: Because you hit the on the other side of this island and they start to fear. If you would act mre peacefuly you could have enemy to fight.
The crowd sunk in deep thoughts.
First a man with mantle stand up on the shield he lay until now. He cross his hand act like he search for something, or somebodies. Soon two guy appear and raise the shield. He started to speak: Alright as your leader I make an announce in order to have more fu... I mean visitor, we should show our best manners and make a good repultation.
Then he turn to the way of his back, which one movement was copy by the two shield holder guy and start to leave. After geting home the leader point on me and started to speak:
Leader: As you see my new city architecture we are civilizated peoples, and this is the couse we hired you, until we can concentrate of more... important matters. I hope you will join your work here and find everything good. You start to day and now
I: Thank you Sir. I try my best, you can count on me.
Leader smile: Good. You find everthing on that desk.
He pointed a dusty, beautiful desk with chair and maps dusty as the same.
I try to blow the dust with all my lung's strenght. The desk and everything else was blown a way left nothing.
Leader: Oh, heh. oh well I think this little problem won't be hold you back. Bye.
The leader with the two carrier is leave fast, while I'm in the same positure like a stone statue paralized by my suprise.
The small blond and the huge red guy come in and invite me in they house as a temporary place to live until I don't have my own house.
I wonder how my days will be. I hope I will be the best of my profession.
My new year resolution:
My settlers want to be one of the friendliest peoples on this world... From now on they will only fight because the fish only every second day (a'la Asterix and Obelix). :-)

I write this just for fun, it's not have any similarity of my personality.
I'm a typical defensive player. While other peoples motto ,,Best defense is attack" I think ,,the best attack is a well prepared defence". I'd like to fortificate and wait my enemies arrive with some suprise. Who need to many enemy. Isn't?
So don't worry new members if we go in fighting zones (If try it anyhow) I wont raid anyone. In fact I join, because I have enought of war startegy games and want to have some pause and good memory from this game and a little nostalgia.

Settler Harold Fiddleworth's New Year's resolution: to make the current Grim Reaper general "disappear" so that Harold can take his place. Why, you ask? Because Harold dislikes his name immensely, and being known as the Grim Reaper would be, well... way cooler.
as mayor of my little settler group i sent out special requests to all my settlers asking them to share their new years resolutions. this then is one of those resolutions.
i sit in my house this year safe from a nother long winter night. thinking about those who are displaced by our fight. we fight to bring peace an prosperity to one an all. but of those who lost that fight alone in the cold, hungry an dieing. what of them. i resolved to do even more to help these lost souls to provide more to fuel the fight to bring them to safety to get thim in housing to get them in from the cold an harsh conditions found in our world. bandits an evil witches an greedy theives. time to do even more this year to better our world. but, as i pondered on this i wondered what i could do to help that i dont already do? i will build more places to live an more places to work. i will give more time to help those new come to our community to adjust to our goal.
as mayor, i found this very moving. i ask then for your support in this endevour. for it should be a resolution of us all to leave our world a better place each day, if we only make a small change each an every day this year. the end of this year will see many major changes from all of our efforts to effect a small change each day. happy new year to all of you, my loyal settlers. My resolution is to help my guild grow with daily players.

i will send settlers kids to college, they need to see some college parties always harvesting farm, making flour, iron,steel and other things. they need to see the other part of the life :))
I will banned to use condom on the island and this way they can produce more baby and more babies more settler :)) i will also send some ask the DEV team to put Viagra in the shop for who needs :))
I will ask my fishermen to make bigger fish boat and we can catch some Tuna, swords fish or even Whale.. Otherwise catching sardines not good enough :)) They should able to catch some bonus fish like Whale and give us 5k or 10k instantly :)
I will send my mayor to Dev team to negotiate this provision house and barrack productiveness. He is very very old man and getting tired to click 500 - 1000 times daily to produce 25 military units, 25 buffs and 2500 depos. He wants to able to produce 250 military units, 250 buffs and 25k depos with one click. He said if they change this then he can more productive in the bed room to make baby for the island :D
He will also ask for trading system ( he loved the new system btw) to able to put more stuff free ( not charging 3 -6-9.. coins per trade) and trades stay there maybe all day not 6 hours...
My buff buddy also wants to able to buff the buildings even the buildings buffed. That way we can put 2-3 buffs on the same buildings and same time. We should able to add buff on the buildings not bad idea :))
All my settlers said that we love the BB_meesher and BB_xTed being around and helping all lot..

The resolution my settlers have made is to spread fish around to everyone, and once achieved then to add bread.
The New Year's Resolution of the citizens of Isle of Bean is to research the art of sea travel. Too long have we lost 39 horses so that 1 cavalry may pass to another island! Too long have 9 iron swords rusted and only 1 been useable in combat! It has just not been efficient to swim to each and every adventure, so to learn sea travel will increase productivity and efficiency.
my resolution is to be kind to my neighbors and light up their islands with lots of buffs!
Evan Miller was a young man with dreams. Evan, was his given name, but everyone called him "Tiny". Life on Tiny's island was one of routine, but there was also a sense of community, everyone knew his/her job and they knew it quite well. Tiny was quiet like his father, and few paid particular attention to his daily activities.
Time passed on the island, the seasons turned, the town grew, new arrivals joined the community and much went on as it had. But all the while Tiny nurtured his dream, one of grand adventure, giving it thought nearly every day. He worked hard and saved every coin.
One morning, Tiny woke to a winter frost and knew that the time was soon at hand. He would tell his family and friends of the adventure that awaited him. After a hard day of work, Tiny went to the tavern, as was the custom of many an islander toward the evenings. It was a warm gathering spot where the community enjoyed the fruits of their labor and a respite from the cold night air. Tonight the tavern was filled with family, friends, neighbors, and one other. One who watched the comings and goings almost completely unnoticed. For although small by some standards this town was quite busy. Busy enough for one to go about almost unnoticed if so inclined.
As his loved ones sat by a warm fire sipping brew Tiny rose from his seat and announced, "January 1st, that's the day I am off on my adventure!" The tavern grew quiet as the patrons sat in stunned silence. Then the tavern erupted in laughter. Many had risen from their chairs throughout the years to boast in high voices, most coaxed by drink, but Tiny never did. He rarely spoke and then never loudly. It was simply preposterous. "I bet he doesn't make it past the mayor's house.", one exclaimed. The idea of Tiny on any sort of an expedition was too much for the patrons to believe. Only Tiny himself knew in his heart he WOULD try. That is, Tiny, and one other knew.
For the one who has watched that miller's son since early days knows that from tiny dreams to grand ambitions this world is what you make of it. A wish for all, despite odds or expectations, to pursue our dreams with passion in the new year.
In the new year, I hope to accomplish the following:
1) Hit level 50
2) Get a dark castle
3) Start the long and costly process of upgrading my bread chain

My settlers are resolving to be less sexist and allow women in the work yards. Also they will start brewing some tea instead of beer because we have our own show "Rehab" happening here.
My settlers are going to make it so they will not have to build any more wells or any more fields. I also plan to become at least lvl 40.

My name is Juan and I am a wood gather on this massive island of Crolak's. He is a fine leader and has brought us many accolades and seen us through many valiant adventures but I feel there is more for me.
For 2013, I resolve to advance through the ranks of the lowly wood gatherers to saw operator to metal smith and on up through all the crafts. Once I have mastered the production of all these material items, then I will move on to the training of soldiers and learn the leadership skills need to advance to the rank of battle hardened general. Once I have mastered these many skills I will set off to claim my own island and lead my followers into a fine and prosperous future.

Raindry sat down with a cold brew thinking of what could be an honest and achievable resolution for 2013. After a few brew and fish plater he could not make up is mind to any particular resolution. Being so he decided to make a bundle resolution package. He decided that in 2013 he would help at least 12 members to achieve there personnel goals. Thinking he could help one member a month, it would be nice to make new friends along the way. He then decided to recruit at least 3 friends that are not members to The Settlers Online and also that speak french so they would improve on a second language. That would be a great opportunity to have fun and improve there personnel knowledge. After exploring the map of is island, he dedicated to the world that by the end of 2013 the Island would be a crime free and peaceful place to live. Looking at the shinny sky he took one more brew and went to bed early. Because tomorrow is a brand new day! Happy new year 2013 from a warm place on The Settlers Online.
I resolve not to obsess over milking every last unit out of my economy that I can. I will not fret if a mine goes empty before I can demolish it with one unit left and still get back one fifth of the build cost. I will occasionally lose a military unit other than a recruit in battle. I will buy and sell items in the market for less than the absolutely optimal price.
However, I will NOT stop obsessing over roads and decorations. I want the roads to line up with my decor in a certain way and I will remove and add them back as much as I want until my island looks exactly like I want it to.
Hello. I have done some hard work here in Settler's Country. But it has been along time coming since my family had a real working farm! This year is the time to prosper, to work hard and help my neighbors out who have been so kind as to care for me when my husband hasn't been a'round. My neighbors are many, and very fair. I think it's time to give back to my kindly friends and neighbors whom we think of as family! Man can't do it alone! Needs the help of his good wife and children and remarkable friendships which we are lucky enough to have! God Bless!!

We have many critters here, we know there's a Cat & her name is MJ, a Kitten her name is Arian, & Frog, a Dog whose name is Pepper, and many an animal! Jack the Huckster sat on the bench of his traveling wagon and considered what the coming new year would bring. As the horse clop-clopped its slow way across the isthmus bridge Jack sighed and jingled his all-too-light purse. "It's been a lean year," he thought, "and leaner than the one before and the one before that. My ribs are sticking to my spine and even walking I'd make better time than with this knacker-ready horse."
At the comment about the glue maker, Pedro, the horse, flicked his ear back in irritation.
It was, Jack decided, time to open the box labeled Emergencies Only.
His mother, Concurra, had given him the box years ago, on her deathbed. She had made him swear to only open it in the most dire of circumstances. To Jack, the lack of money, food, and reliable transportation seemed like a case of "dire circumstances." And so, rummaging around under the wagon seat in the little hidden compartment, Jack pulled out the box.
He had kept his promise to his mother, he had never opened the case over the years. But as he rode, he did so. Within the lacquered wooden etui hid a vermilion velvet bag tied tightly with a silken string. A note lay alongside the tiny bag. "Dearest Jack," he teared up a little at his beloved mothers penmanship, "years ago my boss gave me these magic beans. Be warned, though, they're very dangerous and should be used only in the most serious of emergencies. I love you, and I hope you married a nice woman. Ta, Mum." He was just about to crumple up the note when he saw written on the back, "P.S. Remember to wash behind your ears and stay away from cheese. you know what it does to your digestion. XXXOOO."
"Beans?" Jack blinked and shouted at the heavens, "Magic beans? Really, mom? That's the best you can do in my hour of need? I'm starving and have no money and you give me beans!" With a shout, Jack heaved the sack of seeds towards the hills. "This is what I think of your seeds, mom. And your advice."
He continued to shout at no one in particular, "Here's my new year's resolution, mommy dearest: I'm going to marry a shrew, never wash behind my ears, and be sure to eat lots of cheese! So there!" His grumbling continued for hours, "Stupid mom. You always were far too fond of that weirdo boss of yours, Morbus. Magic beans, sheesh."
Miles away, a tentative black tendril snaked out from the bag, questing for soil in which to dig.

My goal for 2013 is build of the strength of my island. I intend on aquiring the quildings needed to construct the matterials for crossbowman. I intend on aquiring a dark castle to use as a strategic command center. I intend on upgrading buildings to increase reforestation, hardwood production, marble production, and production of various weapons. I intend on aquiring at least one more explorer, one more general, and one more geologist. I intend on upgrading the mayors house, aquire another water mill, beating the horseback adventure while loosing fewer than 500, and beat the traitors adventure. And if the game fullfils its claim to have pvp created this year; then to win a pvp fight as well. If I can accomplish these things, then my island will be much stronger.
My goal is to save up enough gold to upgrade most of my buildings so i can free up building permits by removing unneeded low level buildings.
