As leader of HALO, I have a 3 point New Years resolution. First, do what I can to help all my guild members level and be prosperous. Second, be helpful and a friend to all players. And Third, promote the game throughout the internet as best as I can so that the game will grow and become better for us all. I have already got a good start on all three resolutions. :)

hey every1. sshhhh! the mayore thinks im sleeping right now
my name's johnny. i work in 1 of the coinages. i dont know whats in the food the mayor gives us, but it somehow makes us all produce 2times, 3times, sometimes even 4times as many gold coins as we would normally be able to. do you think maybe hes drugging us to work faster? oh well, i like my work, and it makes me feel good that me and the fellow coiners are able to do so much to help the mayor
which brings me to what i snuck in here to say. me and the fellow coiners were talking 1 night while working. only 1 of us has a level5 production building, so the rest of us cant produce as much as him. and the coins we produce dont ever seem to be enough for the mayor to buy all he wants to buy. so we have made a group new years resolution this year. we will get all of our buildings to level 5 production, possibly add more buildings if needed. we want to be able to make at least 5k gold coins in 12 hours of work. that is our goal for this year, our resolution. 5k gc every 12hrs of production. just knowing that we are moving towards that goal every day makes me smile as i work =)
-
My settlers goal for the year is to find a female settler somewhere, anywhere! =)
-
The new year resolution of my people is to finally find a cure for cancer, AIDS, herpes and Lupus- with each cure being synthesized from a mustard seed... wish them luck!
-
my goal for this year is to reach level 42 and build a "bottomless well" for my
tired settlers because the water in the "deep well" are finishing very quickly
-
I have talked things over with my settlers and they and myself have resolved to build a kingdom to rival ancient Rome! Gladiators, phalanx, and Pretorians shall roam the streets. All day toga parties! Wine and cheese for everyone. It shall be glorious!
-
To be the first to own a stealth bomber, or at least build my coinage chain if I can't do the first.
-
My New Year resolution is to not to touch my gems, that my gem pit is producing, for a full year :>
-
To get rid of all the bandits from the island. To grow into a power!
-
To gain a level by ridding the high seas of pirates (and loot them, of course!). No more horseback shortcuts.
-
I've learned my settlers, god bless their big hearts, have vowed to have me reach lvl 50 this year. what a good bunch of guys and gals.
-
my resolution is to have atleast one of all my buildings at level 5 if not all of them by the end of the year .
-
In 2013 I resolve to do all the adventures, recruit more recruits, teach my farmers to keep the deer out of the fields, and my Explorer to bring back larger loads of treasures.
-
My settlers have told me that they're tired of building the same fields and wells over and over again. So for the new year they're going to be as thrifty as possible and through some trading be able to have enough silos and watermills to not have to. They also have told me that their obsession with building new building is coming to an end due to a lack of licenses. But, they said, have no fear because they have devised a genius plan to get rid of their current noble houses and trade them for a newer model that doesn't require licenses. There's nothing that will stop them from building new and greater buildings!

My New Year resolution is to lose 20 lbs.

2012 Annual General Meeting
Filetme Island Commitee
Mayor: Welcome all to the 2012 Annual General Meeting. The floor is open to all suggestions for the 2013 roadmap.
Settler Slushie: Mayor ... more Friaries ... We are always low on brew *hic*
Mayor: Duly noted slushie
Settler Fred: Your honor ... we seem to have an over abundance of horses and not enough stable hands
Mayor: Very well ... we shall endevour to put more horses in trade in order to gain more gold
General: Your honor ... We could use more of these horses for more calvary.
Mayor: Calvary drink too much brew and we seem to have a shortage of brew
Slushie: Hear! Hear!
Mayor: Keep it down Slushie *sigh*
Settler Green: Your honor, we would like to see our recycling program increase twofold this year. Thefore, we would like to see our Island purchase two more recycling Manufactories before the end of 2013.
Mayor: Agreed. Gems being available, we will make the purchase.
Settler Mommy: We need more schoolhouses for the little settlers ... they just seem to turn up and turn into little men and women right away. We need more schooling
Mayor: Ok ... we wouldn't want any more Slushies
Slushie: huh?
Mayor: OK so I think we have our resolutions for 2013; More schoolhouses, recycling manufactories and try to make more gold from our horse trade.
Slushie: AND ...
Mayor: And yes ... maybe a new Friary ... we can't celebrate the new year lacking brew.
Happy 2013 all!

I'd like to learn the art of Metallurgy (excuse the spelling) and Melt down my cannons and construct a Trebuchet! my resolution is to advance through new technology (resources on pvp isles)

I have been a lonely Veteran in the ranks of regular Generals, and even one or two Battle Hardened Generals.. But they still can't do what I can. My resolution is to find a brother in arms, someone who can truly be by my side. Although I appreciate the fact that the BHG's can keep up with me, even travel to distant lands just as fast as I, it still frustrates me that I end up doing all of the work anyway while they just sit around. Just let me find someone that can hold up their end at my side, not these recruit-shielding glory-hogs. *sigh*

In the year of the BB's 2013, Stan Settler looked around and saw no females. He knows of a man doing secluded experiments, and thought maybe that is why we have no females. He went to his neighbers, and told them of his plan. Mcgegors, you have horses, Fanigans you have steel swords, me and my clan have crosbows. If we can call up some recruits from the local farms, and give them brad an brew we could take the Dark Castle. So gather your clans. Gather you weapons. We will take the castle, kill the witch of the swamp, and find the man doing the experiments. We will find the females or die trying! So I and my clan say, areyou all with me!

General Grievous has heard enough about his defeat by the Jedi. After fleeing to a remote island and building a new empire, Grievous has just conquered the natives there. Starting in 2013, a long long time ago, he is set to rebuild his army of droids using titanium. Their laser weapons, however, will require a rare resource only found by exploring the deep galatic sectors. Lastly, to restore his own fighting finesse, he will need to upgrade his steel sword to a light sabre. Rumors in the tavern tells of a merchant who sells a red crystal that powers light sabres. But this merchant only accepts blue crystalite gems. So the search begins...
-
This year, my settlers will help me recruit a veteran general so that I can make it to level 40.
-
My goal is to become my guild's greatest asset and a good director to my little island of people. :0)
-
This year my settlers have banded together to ask for less crowded living conditions and more opportunities for work. They have also requested that I not fulfill their requests for less crowded living conditions by sending poorly trained townsfolk off on "adventures" where they are never heard from again. Finally, they have resolved to spend more time for themselves and less time serving my needs.. and to that end they have asked for decorative fountains in which to frolic.

NY Resolution is to quit TSO, having to spend gems makes it harder to do so.

A Mayor's Resolution
It was late in the evening on New Years eve as The Mayor finally finished the last of his daily tasks. He looked over the fields of wheat that stretched out in front of the Mayoral Mansion and began to mull over the events of the past year. The new settlement was started with much anticipation, minimal expectation, and a small but dedicated group of settlers. From these humble beginnings The Mayor had watched his settlement grow to nearly 600 people. The basic industries of stone and pinewood production were completed quickly and these were eventually side by side with: marble, hardwood, coal, Iron and just recently Steel production. (a much harder and more durable metal then the mayor had even dreamed of) They had even managed to find a bit of gold ore in the hills in the south portion of the isle. They had settled here thinking the Island deserted but had soon discovered that was not the case. Although no organized civilization had yet claimed this land, there were several camps of bandits hidden about in challenging locales. The first couple of these had been easily overcome as the Recruits, Bowmen, and Militia made short work of the easy, disorganized camps. However, upon the explorers reaching the far eastern shore of their island, it was noted that the strength of these newly found bandit camps of the east were much improved. Packs of Guard Dogs roamed the camp perimeter and groups of Thugs and Rough-Necks encircled large campfires. These foes would challenge the newly created forces of Cavalry and Soldiers that were now training in the barracks. One explorer even returned with tales of a giant half-man/half-tree seen in the center of an enormous camp of bandits in the mountain regions of the north east corner of the isle. This information troubled The Mayor and he knew that many battles lay ahead and much blood would be spilled in the effort to liberate this island and truly claim this land solely and completely for his people. He steeled himself for the necessary conflicts yet to come in the new year and resolved that nothing would keep him from ushering in the era of complete ownership of this island and unwavering prosperity for his people.

My new years resolution is to get to level 34 and to continue playing this game.
-
my resolution is to spend one more year out of a wheelchair :))
-
I will reach lvl 50, get a Vet general somehow, and enjoy myself! :D

My settlers gaze with admiration at the bronze memorial given to them by the BB_team for their part in helping to overcome the Mayan curse. The celebration is bittersweet however. They know how many good men gave their lives for this cause. They also know that other kingdoms suffered far fewer casualties during this trying time. These kingdoms were aided powerful warriors: elite soldiers, crossbowmen, and even cannoneers.
As the new year dawns, it brings with it the unknown challenges of the future. If they hope to face it, they will need to grow their economic and military strength to a higher level. They have resolved that before 2013 comes to a close they will obtain Lv.50. They have heard rumors that the BB_team has made resolutions of its own which include a long awaited raising of the level cap and a new science system. They are praying that the BB_team will keep these resolutions so that it will be possible to continue growing in 2014 as well.
-
my goal is to clear all the bandits in my island and try all the adventures out there.
-
My New Year's Resolution is to stop antagonizing my settlers by:
1) Not moving buildings around, just to see the settlers need to search for where they were headed.
2) Not cancelling builds, just to see a settler scratch his head and need to walk back to the storage building.
3) Not dousing the island in snow, just to see them all shiver.
4) Giving them more opportunities to see the world by sending more troops on adventures than I need.
and finally,
4) making certain all the fields are full, the wells are dug, the mines and deposits are operational, and that the booze is flowing.

I am resolved to acquire and save up enough gems to buy a Gem Pit;
I hope to start by winning the 1000 gem Grand Prize of this resolution contest!
Happy New Year, Ubi!

Dear Great Settler in the Sky,
I ended last year on a strong note, finally making good on last year's resolution to do a better job hunting and fishing. The Deerstalker is so cool, and I was able to use the savings on hunting licenses to spend more time on a boat with a few other settlers and some brew. Oh yeah, we caught more fish too!
This year, I really need to get more silos built. There's a big section of wheatfields that I'm having trouble keeping planted and I just know I need to find the time and coin to build a few more silos. I'm thinking of going corporate - I hear all the big farming operations are run by the 1%'ers... of course, the 1%'ers hire cheap labor, so I'll need to think about housing the rest in high-density noble residences to make sure there's lots of open fields for planting.
Anyway, I hope you'll help strengthen my resolve with a little gem drop my way.
Annually yours,
The Mayor of the tiny island nation of Homerica,
KingHomer

I am fairly new to this game, just started in November. My biggest struggle has been keeping my resources in the green. Therefore, I have made the resolution to wake up 30 minutes early every morning, spend 15 minutes at lunch, and first 30 minutes after work to spend with my settlers working on balancing the resources. The rest of my time will be spent just getting to know my settlers.
Happy New Year to all!
-
My resolution is to get a 2nd gem pit for my island or may be even a third!!!
-
Canyon walls to our right and to our left.
Brhind us blocked by a cliff.
Three against the thousand
The bodies of the slain piled up
The day grew long as the fight raged on
Three against the thousand
Finaly it was done
Our foes lay dead before us
Three against the thousand
Toughest three we ever fought
The resolution of the lone surviving recruit was to never again volunteer
-
My New years resolution, is to become emperor of my universe and to have all of my little settler minions worship me and pledge me their first born to ensure that I don't tear down their homes and make their wheat fields and mines disappear. Maw Ha Ha.........
