Request: Public read API for player info, buildings, and economy

I'd like to have a public API that a third-party service can query for player info, buildings, and economy info. As discussed below, this might be best as an opt-in feature. Here's my wishlist:

Buildings

- List of all buildings
- List includes building ranks
- List includes travel time / distance to warehouse for economic buildings
- Bonus: List includes active buff type and duration / expiry time
- Bonus: List includes sleeping / upgrading status

Economy

- List of resource nodes player has discovered
- List includes amount of resources remaining in each node
- Listed resources include:

- mines
- fields
- wells
- quarries
- fisheries
- hunting grounds

Player Data

- Name
- Last login time
- Guild

- Current population
- Unemployed population
- Max population
- Total owned building licenses

Data format

JSON or XML or both would be great as output formats. I'd be happy with any of those, personally. ;)

so basically u want players to be able to have all of each other's economy and account info. to tht idea, i have to say suck it. no reason u or any1 else needs to kno any info about my island or my account on here that i am not willing to openly share

I'm not interested in your economy. I'm interested in being able to get my data out of the game to use with an economy calculator, similar to the trade calculator and combat sim tools that others have made. I imagine that making it opt-in would not be complicated, though. EVE Online does this for their API.

so u just want ur own info for ur own use, ok tht makes sense. i in no way want to see my game data avail to any1 who cares to look

Yeah that makes sense. I'm not trying to pry into other people's stuff if they want to keep it private.

I would like to be able to share my data with another service like the trade calculator / combat sim without having to give them my password, though, so "public" in the sense that a third-party service can read the data.

Zivix, I'm assuming you want this information so that you can start the process of "farming" people. Go farm yourself

you shouldn't assume anything cuz you know what that makes right? Besides he said exactly what he wanted it for, and it's a great idea!
