General intercepted on block - no notifications, animations showing not blocked

G'day to explain this issue that I seem to keep finding myself in on multiple adventures.

I send the block, all is good. Normal General, correct spacing perfect.
General one attacked intented target, General 2 attacks main target.....excellent


Both animations show them attacking seperate targets, no "general intercepted" message appears. I get 2 messages saying your general is attacking. Yet, next thing I know the main general has teleported himself over to the other camp and is getting busy with them.

Could be a lag issue, but the dang teleporting general is rather annoying.
