I vote for blocking. If I can do it more efficiently, why wouldn't I be able to?
Hey guys.... I've done at least 11 adv in the last 4 days...
You don't want to know my troop loss's... I'm sitting here now... looking at the first block on VtV ... lolol (*I use Tage' killste' guides mostly)... Been almost 8 hrs cuz I chickened out last night... (lmao)
Sooooo, my main on Ares, only makes xbow, no E yet... lol now thinking, I decide to check out cempire.org guide list & ours posted here... to look for anything about single attks at camps w/out E... lol yes I no substitute w/S or M... (that's sounds weird) anyway... :o
its the time factor thing... as was mentioned... here -Nor do I really have time to search for or run simulators for VtV all day long... What to do? I guess learn to be more adept at this like Jameason, Tage, Sanii, Genesis ... Sanii wish u would post a Vet guide w/xbow no E for each camp!!! Pls! Dang BB ... I don't have tons of time to run simulator... Pls helpie !!! i'm stuck !!!Quote:
We don't have time to sit here and think about the mathematics of making a new guide based on the glitches
EDIT- hey I found sidv's ... I think I shall try it ... :o
Hi Asia, with the issue going on with the accelerated generals and aggro zones now, I doubt too many will be working on guides. I know I've put off completing a big comprehensive tutorial on blocks, attacks, simulators usage, destruction time info with videos until this is all resolved (around 85% done). Sorry putting together something does take someones time :) either yours to figure usage with soldiers or mine.
i just lost 100xb and 100es as well cavs and soldiers on my latest vtv because my vet jumped ahead of my BH just as they were about to enter the camp. the blocks seem to work ok for the most part unless your main camp is sitting on top of the regular camps. They skip ahead on other blocks but can walk normally into the leader camp if it is outside of the red zone. It is when they are still within the red zone of the blocking camp when they get to the leader camp where things went wrong for me.
During the simple first block on the Black Knights adventure, my vet leaped like a frog 5 times almost jumping ahead of the BHG. Luckily, the block worked out but it could have been disastrous if it had not worked.
So far it seems that the jumps only happen when the general in front begins its attack then the next general speeds to the next camp and then the next general will as well once general 2 is attacking. This does not mess the blocks up it speeds them up. I have done 4 bandits nest an IOTP and 2 BK adventures with full blocks with no issues, just faster general speed which is a bonus.
I done IOTP and Outlaws...The gens are speeding up, but the blocks are successful.
I had that occur in the last battle in Bandit Nest [Genesis Vet Guide]. The second blocking attack started, then the little dust-up bunny disappeared at some point between the start of the battle and my sending the last General to attack the leader camp. When the General entered the control zone of the camp that was under attack, he was intercepted.
Another option is to count the flags for the blocking general from his garrison to his target camp. Then adjust the position of your second attack so that the number of flags from his garrison to the edge of the control zone of the blocked camp is the same. Multiple blocks are more involved and don't forget that a general entering his target camps zone will slow back down to normal.
I had hoped that they would fix the jumping general problem last night. It is not fixed and they still jump, at least on Suprise Attack.
Woe is us.
You know... if they decide to make this speed bug a 'feature' instead of fixing it... I think we could design some new blocks to take advantage. There are a couple blocks I had to give up on in the past, as I couldn't quite squeeze enough consistant time out of them. However with this 'feature', they might now be possible. Definately some new 1r block situations should open up at least.
Of course, wouldn't want to go through the trouble if it is going to be fixed soon.
Funny how this "BUG" happens when they issue a Four Winds Quest. Does anyone really think it is by total accident. NO WAY. They just want to make it extremely hard and tough on everyone to complete the Four Winds Quest. SHAME ON YOU BB.
I am sure there are some really bright minds here who will figure out how to adjust the guides accordingly. So, let the games begin. It's sad that BB has to resort to such tactics. Just don't put out quests like that and dedicate time to giving us NEW ADVENTURES. It makes you really question why bother with a game that always wants to make it harder on you and playing games like this.
My 2 cents worth,
Stevie
I was able to finish the Four WInds quest even with the bug. But I am only level 42, and it may be harder to finish the quest for the upper levels.
I did as well and purposefully stayed at lvl 45 to do it. :)
That said, Bandits Nest was extremely frustrating as I twice (yes I refer to this as my blonde moments) walked into the last camps and tossed away 220 cav, 100 XB and 100 ES each time when the blocks didn't work. Hopefully the glitch will be resolved, one way or the other soon. :)
If you put 5 secs between every attack most if not all round blocks will work. I have been using the blocks successfuly for the last 6 days :)
I lost over 200 cav on Outlaw because of this issue; very frusterating.
Sounds like the GEnsis blocking for Bandits Nest is not working.
Has anybody tried this guide:
