It took me 45 minutes to get to the game yesterday after sign-in.
This morning it took 20 seconds.
Now I can't get to game at all.
Anybody else having the same problem?

having the same problem since yesterday too: morning OK, evening and night = stuck as loading. Tried clearing cache and all other official suggestions.

same here, says it cant load a file, to empty cache and still doesnt work, have to reload the page many many times...
Ditto, but I think I'm on the Zeus server. Login page takes ages to load, game might load if I'm lucky. Cleaned out cache, cookies even etc. no help. Tried using other browsers, no help.
Makes you feel like you're playing SimCity 5, lolz.
And not that you have any choice with browser games (just a note to devs), but this is why I'll never buy an always online single player game, ever.
Would love some help or input from the higher ups on this as I would like to get back to giving away some bread for 1 pinewood plank....

It's like Flash gets plugged up and slows way down.
have you all tried using Google Chrome?
It's just getting FUBAR. Game login is now acting like the Forum. I was logging in and got the 'unable to load file, delete cache and retry'.
Just hit the refresh button instead and loaded in no problem. So like getting the error first time with the going to the forum thing.

Same thing started last night server keeps dropping me constantly all night and still this morning.....someone needs to go kick the server and restart it ;-)
Thanks RomanGod, but its a server side issue, server keeps dropping me, using google chrome tried to clear cache, but server still keeps dropping connection

Something I just did seemed to help, apparently ATT's DNS servers are fubared, I switched over to googles free public dns servers and so far so good.
worth a shot for anyone else suffering from this issue, gonna test on a second computer but this really appears to have fixed the issue for me.

Changing dns servers helped but did not resolve the issue completely, its alittle better, but still getting server disconnects.

It ended up not being the game at all being the issue for me, my router took a dive...first for everything...my bad hehe
figured it out after trying to do my other usual internet stuff and still having the issue's everywhere I went.
i had the same problem. it is thesettlersonline.net not .com I believe there is a uk/european version and a north american version

Almost 2 months now. sent ticket but not a good reply though. i've been playing since last yr with no problem and yet they asked me to try new browser now? keep clear cache on flash and browser everytime before login, still receive unable to connect to data file message and ask me to clear cache... :(
Any support or BB would help on this matter ?

Same thing happening to me today.
You could be (1) logged on as part of an educational computer network - that allows log in but as soon as the game starts to load - triggers the recognition that you are trying to play an interactive game that is blocked; or (2) logged into a high traffic network like at a hotel or something that does not have sufficient bandwidth to handle the downloading of the interactive island or (3) something bigger is screwed up.
I can't get to my old 23rd level at all. I think it might be the use of a different browser. Can anyone help?
This is to Grumbly, Raymergg and FatherNostromo,Raymergg, hi, you are from here? - Kuala LUmpur, I believe you need to contact your isp provider, open ur port and find out what our port #s are ask BB and ask ur ISP how to do this for your router if u do not know. Also u can run a test on your bandwidth, and let bb know what that is, if it is efficient to run our game. I feel this complicates things, although without the knowledge of it myself and probably others cannot help you completely.Quote:

My other recommendation is always try to get screenshots...

Grumbley seems to have his fixed, that was a smart thing you figured- would of been my recommendation, call ur ISP' next to. The other thing, is FatherNostromo, are you using a church internet access? perhaps it has our game port flagged you may want to ask BB what is the ports for TSO.
If this helps, I use IE for this server and always have, Ares has always been the best running server of every server that runs this game, I know this as fact due to my experience as a player of international standards, and daily aiding many, many peoples world wide with all kinds of problems successfully. Reminder the more info you get for Support is better for help.
BTW- I am a testing player from Test server.
