Problems Logging in? READ HERE!

Hello Everyone!

So, I'm going to tell you simple instructions on how to fix your Log-in problem if it doesn't work on the first time. A lot of people have been posting that they can't log in so before you post up a thread, Read this and the Simple List/ Several Steps on what you should do so you're able to play the game or if there is any more Bug's or Technical Issues.

So, 90% of Game Problems can easily be fixed by doing a quick refresh at the Top of the browser page just look for a recycle sign!

Now if the Refresh doesn't work then please follow these simple rules to be able to log-in.

1) Clear Cache/Cookies
2) Restart Computer

then try logging back into the game. If it doesn't work and IF your using IE (Internet Explorer) switch to Google Chrome or Fire Fox. (Google Chrome mostly).

Now, your probably thinking

Why Should I switch from using Internet Explorer to Google Chrome??

Well, it's because that Internet Explorer doesn't work to well with Java and Adobe Flash player running at the same time. Very bad combination really. It's like a Shark vs Shark. They will kill each other.

RGC with pokki does it still use a ton of memory for flash?

I'd have to say No. I haven't really compared it yet. I do enjoy using it though. I don't get flash crashes or them Refresh your client or anything like that. Maybe once a month i might. other then that. its great.

I decided to try pokki and see how it works. I do like that its browser free, and even though it still uses flash, the actual flash plugin process stays at pretty low resource usage while the pokki processes takes the brunt of the work. Therefore not lagging flash on my computer overall (Youtube, 1channel.ch etc).
But after being on for 2-3 hours the game gets very laggy where it's unplayable and I have to refresh. This is not pokki but my computer I'm sure, but overall for me the browser works better in my case.

It's a pretty nifty little program though. I think I'll use it on my gaming rig when I set it up! :) Thanks RGC.

I have downloaded Pokki into my Toshiba laptop that's running Vista.

Works like a champ.

That's odd Lacuna, I'd be running it for like 8 Hours Straight, Would get a few lag spikes here and there, but that is just my laptop being stupid.

well tried pokki besides the following browsers: chrome (prefered), opera, firefox, comoda still same message and can pingthe server.still nothing

now i cant log in, i have been trying every which way i can.

the reason i sent you the first email was because i already couldnt get into the game using the exact directions in this email ou sent me, when i first joined your game, i used the facebook to enter the game, it was real quick, i played for months, i think, like i wrote level 39, i bought gems twice, of which, i attached the email receipt, to try to help identify me, i dont have a uplay name, so i coulndt use the left side of the access screen, it said, login fail, it told me to try the right side , the email side,
now this is where i couldnt access it for 2 days, at which point i sent you the email, now you send me an email repeating what i did the first time, i try to re set everything it fails,
i went even so far as to set up a account under aaaaaaa, or something, but it starts the game at level 1, which im not going to start over.

That is beyond my capability.

I tried this Pokki thing and don't see Settlers as an app. Am I missing something? The only thing that comes up in the search is the webpage, which Pokki launches as a webpage

You don't need to download Pokki app. Search for The Settlers Online. Then Install The Settlers Online Application.

Nope, doesn't show up on the Pokki web page or on the app itself. Are you logging in through UPlay or Facebook?

Neither. It shows up for me. Have you tried looking at what apps you could already install?

Its no big deal. If someone has a direct link to the download, just send me the link via pm or ingame mail.

hi rgc i got pokki but cant seem to find the settlers app and was wondering if it was under a dif name?

Sorry, but this is the wrong approach. Failure of the software is not my problem, it's the devs.

I can log in using the support login button, so there's a place for BB to start. Whatever the difference is between the main login page and the support login page, one works and the other doesn't.

Fix it, please.

I have the same problem as some others with locating the game in/pokki. Regardless of weather I search for "The Settlers Online" or "Castle Empire" I get 0 (Zero) results. Nice to know I didn't actually need to DL pokki though. Is there a direct link to the games Non-Browser App?

how do i login on my pc at home? i cannot see the same login page as it usually is. i just see white background and text

is there a plugin i am missing? ive played alot of flash games and all of them works. I was playing fine last night also.

ive tried restart, clear cache, chhange browser. all of them didnt work

Here's one for you RGC. This is what I get now (see screenshot below) when I go to the home page to log in. It shows places to enter user name and password, but it will not do anything when I click play. One day I got here instead of the normal homepage. I have tried deleting all browsing data to no avail. I have tried different browsers as well as on three different machines, and for some reason all of them take me here 90% of the time...once ina while it will load the normal home page and allow me to log in. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Has been working again lately, so hopefully whatever happened has been resolved.

I already use Google Chrome, so this problem has nothing to do with IE. I cannot log in. Refreshed many times, did computer restart, cookies were removed, etc.
This is just a case of brand new glitches occurring every time there is a maintenance done. Something has been screwed up again because of last night's maintenance.

I was logged in and on my island when I was booted and now I cant get anything but a maintence screen, after the login page.

ok I have tried several things including deleting history, cache, flash cache, site data & plugins. Computer shutdown, router shutdown (in case it was a problem there)
I keep getting kicked to a maintence screen.

I still cant login on Firefox, chrome works fine. I went as far as clearing my flash cache, and browser cache. That didnt work, so i deleted flash and firefox and redownloaded both, still cant loggin. This is exhausting. Havnt tried pokki yet, i just want it to work on firefox. Put in a ticket already and as u can imagine they have been so super duper helpful.

I'd stick with using to Google Chrome playing TSO. It has a built in Adobe flash player. Works very well and better then FireFox.

Well I have no choice now lol. Just dont like chromes full screen feature, firefox allows a drop down menu for tabs when in fullscreen, chromes is all or nothing. But i guess its petty difference, so i will adapt to chrome.

Also to answer the pokki problem of not being able to find settlers, I found this thread post online:

I have it installed on one computer and wanted to install it on another (and recommend to a friend) but now that app doesn't show in the store at all? (Still works fine on my one computer) I found the link of cdn.pokki.com/download/Pokki_The_Settlers_OnlineSetup.exe to try to redownload the app, but it's a dead link.

any thoughts on how to get the game to work on a kindle fire HDX? It keeps saying Flash is not loaded... but flash is loaded and if you do the download it tries to download an Apple version of flash.
