Tip: use your buff wisely. Always compare what your buff will produce versus what you can buy/sell the buff for. For example, do not triple buff a level 5 iron mine, and do not use aunt irma's baskets on level 3 farms. It's cheaper to sell baskets and buy wheat.

When doing mining and any sort of buffing, you need to think about the adjusted cost of items. Even buffs also have a value. Irmas cost about 5 coin on the trade house (and the raw ingredients to make it yourself is sometimes worth more). So if a friend uses an irma on your level 1 hardwood sawmill, it will only produce, at most, 57 additional planks over the 9 hours that its buffed which would only be worth 2 coins in the trade house. So you spent 5 coins to make 2.
With mines, if 250 hardwood planks, 250 marble and 200 tools can be sold for 50 coins in the trade house, then a level 1 iron mine (unbuffed) will produce 500-550 iron ore at the cost of those 50 coins. If you can buy 500 iron ore for 30 coin on the trade office, there is no reason to build a level 1 mine and let it run itself into the ground or even destroy it before it runs out. An irma buff on said level 1 iron mine will produce an extra 80-90 iron over 9 hours which lets say is worth about 5 coin in the trade house (same as the irma you spent to make the iron ore). So no reason to buff the level 1 mine either unless its with fish platters (maybe). If your not going to upgrade the iron mine, you may want to think if it's worth building at all.

My point exactly. Price of 2000 iron refill is *WORTH* less than 4000 irons because you can only get maximum of 4000 irons from it. Therefore, it is not *WORTH* more than the price of 4000 irons.
