Once you are done with your tavern tear it down for an extra building license and so that no one can use a 1,000 snowflake buff on you as a joke.
If you think a mine may deplete itself while you're away/sleeping, tear it down and rebuild it before leaving. Not to mention, the game gives back a small percentage of resources after you destroy the mine(s). Also, if going to be away from the game for several days, sleep the buildings in order to keep things from running out while not attended.
Recruits are the most used military units. So ensure your bronze sword and brew production atleast matches the population growth. That is, your population grows at the rate of 48 per 12 hours. So ensure you have a minimum production of 240 brew and 480 bronze swords so that you never run out of recruits.
2 buildings make 2 times more resources then one.. given they are the same type, have the same travel time, same level, and neither is buffed
It is always better to build Level 1 wheat fields. They give you 200 wheat for 20 pinewood planks and 5 stones as against a level 2 wheat field which gives 400 wheat for 20 hardwood planks and 5 marble. In the provision store, 5 pinewood planks = 1 hardwood plank and 5 stones = 1 marble. Do the math!
