You can buy more than your Storage will hold. The surplus will go into your Star menu. Buy in bulk, to save on Resources.
You don't have to make every Resource, you can trade the Goods your Settlers make, for resources in the Trade Office.
save your building licences by upgrading your resource building instead of building another one.
The closer the storehouse, the faster the overall production time is. It is a good idea to build a storehouse right between those 3 copper mines to the east of youe Mayors house... Greatly reduces the walk times!
You should always have an Offer in the Trade Office. Use the free slot.
In a Trade "slot", you can Offer up to 4 "lots".
A Workhouse will not produce while it is being upgraded. Have some reserves for that resource during the downtime.
To find a specific Sector on an Island, mouse click on the screen, and use the number keys 1-9, to move to the corresponding Sector.
Do not cancel optional quests, even when they seem insane - you can have almost unlimited amount of them, and you might wanna do them when you reach lvl50 and get bored.
