my 3rd tip is join a guild because not only do you gain a family but the benefits out weigh any other in game
my 4th and last tip is use that trade office not only for buying and selling but to see what other players want and need so yu can focus on some of those goodies and provide a growth system of your own

Place Noble Residences near water in isolated areas. That way, you are building on land with negligible use and saving prime acreage for your supply lines.

Hold down your mouse button and press 1-9. You will instantly be transported to that sector on your home map. It can also be helpful when buffing a friend.
Empty all of your armies after an adventure. It makes it easier to see what troops you will need to replace. Also, when you begin your next adventure, it will speed along troop deployment.
