use the sim's to see what kill's what before u try to kill a camp
I just read through 16 pages of mostly laughable material... Draconus2004 was however on spot in his posts... After reading through all the tips, there is a couple things i did not see. Pro-tip or not, here are my tips
1. If you use copper ore, and find yourself running short. If you build your copper mines, pause them and upgrade them to lvl 4. get them buffed by a friend/guildie and then turn them on. the mines will be very low on ore when the buff ends giving you full buff time while the mines are running and over 7800 ore. you may need to make more tools for this to work, but it pays for itself
2. This is not a pro-tip, but i have seen many players even seasoned ones not taking advantage of.. do not only buff your end product buildings, also buff the mid production chain buildings as well EX. smelters, flour mills etc...
3. If you use premium buffs (red flying settlers, cookie plates, rabbit charms etc) on gold chain, but cant buff your whole line with them use the best buffs on your gold mines, they have a shorter production time therefor gain you the most resources per buff.
4. Gem use...after buying licenses and VET generals, gain as many savage scouts as you can. Use them to search for adventures, once you can do long searches they easily pay for themselves from the adventures found. ( sure many may say or think otherwise, but they are wrong ) also on this know you can and should buy jolly geos from gem sellers unless you are yourself a steady gem buyer
5. most importantly remember this is a game, have fun and play it your way.. there is limitless different styles of play, what works for one, may not work for another. This is a community game, play it as such, get a good group of friends and help each other grow/advance. the game is evolving ( albeit slower then most would like) be patient and prepared to evolve your game style with the changes when they do come.. theres my 2 cents, if they are worth even that :P Happy gaming people
Put things on snooze from time to time, especially if you're running in the red. You can put production buildings in snooze so that your supply or raw material catches back up. When I don't have the time to constantly maintain something I'll rotate what's working - so I'll build my iron mines and have the iron smelts working then i'll put the iron smelts to sleep while i have the iron weaponsmiths working. That's just an example or how using snooze can be a valuable part of balancing chains long term
Use the trade office to your advantage. If you see a cheap deal, grab it and resell it at a higher price. You can do that all day long and make mad coin if you like day trading.
Break trades into smaller units. If you want to offload 1000 bronze swords for 50 gold coins, break it up into four lots of 250 bronze for 15 gold coins. You'll make more gold in the end (60) and you'll have more players who can afford the lot. If you have 10,000 tools, the demand for that is very low and the number of players able to afford it is likewise low. Break it into four lots of 2,500 and you'll have a lot better chance of selling it off.
Scout out prices before you post a trade. If you don't, you waste an entire block of your trade time.
If the going price for bread is 30 coin for a thousand and you put 1000 on sale for 45 coin you'll never sell it - and you wasted the six hours or so it had your free trade slot tied up.
Visit your adventure island as soon as you start it and click the quest button. That way your generals will land on the island whether you come back in a half hour or not. Otherwise your generals will wait to land until you first visit your adventure, even if it's many hours later!
when you are starting out use TO to your advantage. Pick a resource and buy it at a fair price then resell it for a GC profit or 2. If you study TO you will see that there are times of the day to buy and times to sell. If you are having troubles selling or buying a resouce you can always use a secondary resource to buy or sell it.
Most important is that this is a game. Have fun, make friends and enjoy your time.
Try trading resources for other resources, instead of coin. You can often get a much higher value than the coin value of that resource.
Upgrading storehouses isn't so important any more. Now that we have unlimited storage in the star menu, that's the place to stash resources. Marble and gold, and later on granite and exotic wood planks can be used to upgrade more productive buildings.
Pro tip of the day:
1. Make sure you are having fun all the time :)
Make sure all your workyards are next to or near storage!Because if you have a recource that's being made in workyard you want it to go into storage quick! It's very helpful!
buy as many geologist and explorers as you can. they will pay of in resources in just a few weeks
If a daily quest asks you to pay 100 coins and rewards you with 50 titanium bars and 50 exotic wood logs, cancel the quest and post 25 coins for each of the two in trade office. You'll save 50 coins.
Or just cancel the quest and save 100 coins.
/ignoreadd NameofPlayer is great tool for filtering out rude/spammy people. Use it freely to keep yourself from getting into a flame war and getting yourself banned. There is no need to waste your time nor attention on trolls. Maybe they should rename the command /trollBgone.
Anyways, take your time and enjoy the game and chat. You'll meet some really interesting people if you hang around long enough.
I do not know the price on Zeus but here is my calculation on Ares (assuming you are using irma basket and friend buffs):
At current Ares trade office prices (30/1k HWP, 40/1k Marble, 40/1k tools, 4 coin/1 aunt irma basket, approx 250/parrot)
Level 1 mine: (1.4*30+1.4*40+1.5*40)/300*500+4*11 = 307 coins approximately to produce 1000 gold ores
Level 2 mine: (1.4*30+1.4*40+1.5*40+0.5*40)/300*500+4*5.5= 319 coins
And the price goes up for level 3 and level 4 mines.
Level 5 mine: 250 + 4*2.2 = 259 coins approximately using 1 parrot.
Clearly it's cheaper to buy parrots than rebuilding your gold mines. Also, there are only 8 gold mines on the island, so running all 8 at level 1 can support at most "8-levels" of gold smelters (i.e., 2 level 3's and 1 level 2's, etc)
My tip is: If you are planning on running a gold chain, build a level 5 gold mine and buy gold refills.
Building upgrade timing reduce
Troops built time reduce
Trev ling time reused
and most of them you have to make more workers to built building its come in queue but not build or peoples can buy extra builder with gems so can built
3 building in same time
Tip: a 1000 iron refill is worth less than the price of 2000 iron ore.
If your level 5 iron mine is about to collapse, you can always stop your mine and buy iron ore until you get a refill through either doing adventures or trade at a non-inflated price.
There is only 1 provision house no matter what level you're at. At higher levels, there's a need to produce a lot in the provision house and its hard for it to keep up with demand. If you're low level and can find some of the nice high level players, they might sub-contract out work for your provision house. This can be mutually beneficial. Get your provision house to level 3, don't ever build marble/hardwood planks (they take up too much provision house time. If you have such excessive amounts of stone and pinewood, you need to destroy old chains that are no longer needed and this can also free up building licenses. If you need the marble and hardwood, change the stone masons to marble masons, for example, and they'll be much more productive than the provision house trade), and use up all that free time you have in your provision house for other players production.
Tip: use your buff wisely. Always compare what your buff will produce versus what you can buy/sell the buff for. For example, do not triple buff a level 5 iron mine, and do not use aunt irma's baskets on level 3 farms. It's cheaper to sell baskets and buy wheat.
watch out for when your resources mines are finished and tear them down to get some resources back Lieg as fields and water
(using Google translator)
Tip: do not make crossbows, damascene swords or cannons. You can sell the raw resources for making them at triple (or x5 in the case of crossbows and cannons) the price of buying them. If you can find a good deal on iron and steel swords, you'll find that it's almost cheaper to sell your coal/iron ore/buffs and buy those swords than making them yourself.
don't keep your tavern, it's cheap to build and a waste of a license. If you need to buy something from it, just build one and destroy it afterwards.
Not true. At this very moment, a 2000 iron refill costs 450 and 4000 iron ore costs 240. Prices will fluctuate but be cautious about buying refills. Make sure they are adjusted to their true value. And if your selling refills, you really need to drop prices to make them more realistic.
Quick intro to adjusted prices:
When doing mining and any sort of buffing, you need to think about the adjusted cost of items. Even buffs also have a value. Irmas cost about 5 coin on the trade house (and the raw ingredients to make it yourself is sometimes worth more). So if a friend uses an irma on your level 1 hardwood sawmill, it will only produce, at most, 57 additional planks over the 9 hours that its buffed which would only be worth 2 coins in the trade house. So you spent 5 coins to make 2.
With mines, if 250 hardwood planks, 250 marble and 200 tools can be sold for 50 coins in the trade house, then a level 1 iron mine (unbuffed) will produce 500-550 iron ore at the cost of those 50 coins. If you can buy 500 iron ore for 30 coin on the trade office, there is no reason to build a level 1 mine and let it run itself into the ground or even destroy it before it runs out. An irma buff on said level 1 iron mine will produce an extra 80-90 iron over 9 hours which lets say is worth about 5 coin in the trade house (same as the irma you spent to make the iron ore). So no reason to buff the level 1 mine either unless its with fish platters (maybe). If your not going to upgrade the iron mine, you may want to think if it's worth building at all.
find a buff partner, usually from your guild, with the understanding that you'll use your buffs on him and he'll use his buffs on you. Buffs last 50% longer when applied to a friend
write your guides in a paper, when using a higher troops use a different color. and a different color for your blocks.
My point exactly. Price of 2000 iron refill is *WORTH* less than 4000 irons because you can only get maximum of 4000 irons from it. Therefore, it is not *WORTH* more than the price of 4000 irons. The belief that iron refills are somehow worth more because it is being sold at much higher prices is a fallacy.
To level quickly, after the tutorial, do Adventures solo and with your guild or friends. To level quickly during the tutorial, focussing just on completing the quests; do not try to expand your capacity by building beyond what it requires, that strategy can actually slow down your advancement.
Pick a screen name and avatar that makes you smile. This is a tiny thing, but can improve your game a little every day!
Don't feed the trolls. Feed the chat and friends who make you enjoy the game, not the ones who irritate you. If you dislike a channel, click another tab!
The gold chain takes is high maintenance, yet it is probably some of the best buildings to earn your resources back. (Even though it seems expensive. It's better than spending the resources to upgrade 15 marble masons.) Upgrade coinages prior to upgrading your smelters, but make sure you don't run out of the resources to make gold coins :)
Invest the time to develop a regular trade partner. Either someone to whom you sell commodities daily to provide you a source of Coin, or someone from whom you buy daily to satisfy your industrial needs.
Join in every event like this when u can to have a chance to get free gem instead of paying money.
If you buy an Endless copper mine, don't upgrade it all the way to level 5 on a regular copper deposit, but search for a deposit that can be mined faster using a geologist with the Quality Copper Mine skill, and build it there. Then your Endless copper mine will produce twice as fast, and that's when you'd want to upgrade it all the way to level 5.
When doing adventures that require multiple generals, when one general loses you can send your other general back to pick up more units while the general is healing. the extra units can be stored on the island and will be transferred back to your main island via transport.
when sending an attack with possible blocks, always check the garrisons at least twice for the composition of troops.
Have several Generals and transport one with a full complement of men to an adventure while you leave the other one at home building more troops. From the star menu you can then go back to your home camp and continue building, buffing and creating troops and switching back and forth. Send your new General to the adventure when you are getting low on troops, transfer any extra troops over and send the other General back to the Home base to start the process all over.
When special events occur like Christmas, Halloween, Easter etc... , a lot of gold can be made from trading the special event resources in the trade office. Usually, the prices for event resources are highest in the first couple of days of the event.
