This is my feedback for the dev. diary related to fairy tales content. My reaction is the fairy tale content is very poorly thought out considering its made for level 50 that have limited island space. Destroying buildings to make room for the new ones is just not something we would want to do. Considering that a lot of the buildings require a lot of space that is very specific location on island that is currently being used by production or storehouse. I suggest redesigning the buildings to be smaller. and also provide an actual upgrade to our economy rather than cripple our economy for mere decorations. level 50 players really don't need more decorations.
Here is a my feedback for community manager to take back to their meetings for developers:
1. Solving Level Cap problem. XP from adventures need to be converted to some useful resources. (example, in World of Warcraft, the dailies or any quest that gives you XP at the character max level returns you more gold. since XP is useless as rewards). Currently this is suppose to be end game content for level 50 players right? The XP (80k+ experience points) are wasted. Totally useless. People want to raise level caps. BUT I ask why?? This will only create problems again later. So you raise it to 55? people reach 55 and complain. You will always have level cap problem if you always raise it. Solve the problem now by converting XP to resources. There is no need to raise levels.
2. Gold Towers bad investment. Lower the wheat requirement and increase the gold bar output. A lot of people are saying that they can sell wheat and get a better return on their investment than using gold towers. 50 wheat for 1 bar is very very bad. also you have to build more farms ALOT of farms. the more wheat you require. the more farms and fields you will need. People are already running out of space on the island at level cap. Introducing new buildings forcing players to build more buildings is a bad idea. There is a whole discussion on the .com forum about the wheat consumption and gold output. It's currently better to sell wheat on the Trade Office for coins than to use towers. (also consider making the space for this building smaller)
3. The new residence gives you only 140 population but it takes up 5 noble space. This is also bad. Again if this game is made for end game content and people who are lvl 50 with no space level on their island. To build this they have to destroy buildings they exist and move buildings around. Replacing 5 lvl 5 nobles to make room for this residence they will lose population overall. Very bad. Magnificent residence needs at least 350 population those who have 5 lvl 5 nobles would only use this for decoration. since 5 nobles = 350 population.
4. Cost of buying end game items (beans) is too high. Or the adventure rewards for beans is too low. Since the cost of going on an adventure takes a lot of troops (and I mean a lot of troops). The death toll compared to the rewards is not worth it. Especially since the rewards makes your island worst than it is before in production and population. lower bean cost of new buildings or raise bean reward from adventures
5. Need something else to buy with beanstalks otherwise the Magic Castle is very useless taking up 4 building space that can be used for something else. Remember this content is meant for lvl 50 players. And lvl 50 players are out of space mostly. Space is valuable. Who wants to give up space for useless buildings? make the castle smaller in space
Overall- this new fairy tale content is a something high level players will end up rejecting.
This New content is VERY disappointing. I was excited at first but now i'm terribly depressed.
For some reason. I have a feeling that I will get the 3 Gold Towers.. and make Gold From them with my Wheat... I don't know why :/
good luck with that. makes no sense to do that. when u can sell ur wheat for more gold on TO. or convert them to brew and sell through provision house to make coins directly. gold towers is just going to be in "Zzz state a lot. or they will screw up with ur other production chain sucking up wheat from other buildings that need it and those building will go 'Zzzz' unless you build more farms (lots of it). enjoy the wasted spaces on ur island to produce this.

This thread is already just becoming a complaint pool. Please add suggestions, or don't post at all, the BB's/Dev's know the issues.
What does it take to make the Magic Castle?
Edit: Just found the cost. 50,000 Beans.. ehhh
How about this:
-Change the size of the magnificent residence to a more manageable size and allow for upgrades to add 300-500 pop each. This would significantly improve space for the already crowded islands. Also, offer the option for these residences to be purchased with gems.
-Change the wheat input of the gold tower to 2 wheat/1 gold bar or make it a decoration item.
-Introduce the option to purchase the 500 army general with gems; keeping it "locked" until a certain level is achieved.
-Remove the trees from the islands and sell optional trees in the merchant store to be placed on specific tree nodes for the cutters and foresters to use or add more space (see point below).
-Allow for building placement where the trees are currently located.
-Reduce the beans cost of the Castle to 2,000 beans and offer the option to purchase for gems.
-Balance the loot drop for the new adventure to drop at a meaningful rate (2500-5000 beans).
Those are my suggestions. Do you have a suggestion? :-)
I think balancing the troops loss on the adventures to be meaningful. 400-500 beans is okay if the cost of items in the shop aren't as high and the adventures do not kill a lot of expert level troops. the cost of the expert troops are so high that it would take a week or more to rebuild that army to do another fairy tale adventure.
give more loot as reward such as expert level resources and expert level weapons.
2wheat/1gold is not bad idea. but in 50minutes? might be bad. lower build time to 24mins.
making it decoration item only. no thanks.
if I wanted decoration only I would be building a guild house (not to start a guild) but to have decoration of a useless building sitting there.
I would be buying up all the decorations in the decoration shops.
buildings need to serve some purpose for lvl 50 players. space is running out. decorations is nice for people who have space. at lvl 50 u want upgrades. no downgrades.
Just a suggestion:
The provision house needs more content --- bean-based buffs and/or deposits would be cool.
Wouldn't take up any space and might help appease the haters.

i dont think i will be buying castle nor towers. they look good as a decoration, otherwise useless to me. New adventures seem very hard on troops, unless someone can come up with a reasonable guide. high xp point reward - totally useless for l50 unless there is an option for more levels or somewhat trade or keep xp for later. lower levels will have hard time doing adventure without canons or elites. we already have plenty of adventures, that nobody wants to get in TO for almost nothing so we certainly don't need more.
at the current state of the FTA (fairy tale adventures), they'll be useless and worthless. people will be practically giving them away on the TO.
As it now stands (FTA), I have no interest at all in running any of it on Zeus.
