Should I quit now?

I'm pretty sure this is my first ever post on the forums and I'm using it to ask if I ought to quit the game now. For starters it just hasn't been as much fun for me lately. I'm spending so much of what time I can afford to be on the game chasing after rebuilding Mines and Wheatfields and Wells that I don't have time to do the fun stuff like going on Adventures. I can't afford to be constantly throwing money at the game for things like refills, and I'm not sure if investing money in gems so I can get Waterhouses and Silos (and maybe an Endless Copper Mine or two) is worth the investment. Then there's the current competition to celebrate the anniversary of the Settlers brand. I hate, loathe and despise competition. Not only that, but my economy is pretty feeble. I don't have and can't generate the kind of resources it would take to make a substantial contribution to my server. Which leads me to my question: Should I quit now? Would it reduce the burden on my fellow players if they didn't have to make up for my feeble efforts in the inter-server competition or would quitting now only make me a bigger liability than if I continue to make my pitiful contribution to the whole effort?

Well, its always your call on whether or not you should leave.

1. TSO is still in beta, just check almost any other server. Why is it in beta? because the core functions (PvP ect) are still not in the game. To be outside of beta, the core needs to be finished. (therefor you are playing a half-baked game)

2. TSO is drying up. especially in Zeus, ever since the the major server fail (TSO dropped out for several days last year) Zeus has been in decline on almost every level. (so why play? everyone else is leaving)

3. Is there any reason to stay? i don't think so, my suggestion is to drop out and come back once PvP is back, you will still have your account, and by then TSO should be more fun to actually play.

many have left due to the lvl 50 cap and lack of pvp. these really need to be fixed

increasing a lv cap is pointless, what happens when they reach the new lv cap? same thing. Yea and pvp, i have funally gave up on it, dont think game cares or wants it
And Lunaroki if you hate the game quit, no ones keeping you here. You don't have to buy gems to succeed in the game. You probably got 2520 "free" gems recently. and easter gave a vet. You can buy refils or silos/watermills easily with coins. Takes a wihle but it's possible.

Hey Director, If this game is still in Beta, WHY??? over a year? NO, this is an active game seeking to make money, and that's the bottom line. And they are loosing players because they cannot come up with a formula that allows people to play for a shorter amount of time to accomplish the primary maintenance needed on their accounts and at the same time bring in new nuances to keep people attracted to the game. Short attention spans for enjoyment vs overweight gaming program that takes too many hours to manage fundamental functions they have established. I don't know why this adventure component is made to be so BORING!!!!! the game rolls well thru level 28, then bogs down from there. This Science add on is a time and resource hog, and the stuff I'm seeing on the test server does not give me much hope for them to pull this thing up to better play. To bad really, the potential is there but the developers are out of touch, at least with folks who have my worldview, and they will not be seeing any of my real dollars because of it, and they will not be getting my recommendation either at this point in time.

at least i'm not the only one who sees the same thing. I've been saying this over and over. raising level cap is pointless!! people will reach the new cap and the problem begins again. it only delays the inevitable. they've promised pvp and economic adventures for like over a year now. or more.

I think they should consider adding adventures or game mechanics that goes back to their roots for a settlers game.
I remember story and missions going from map to map leading your settlers through portals. those were fun.
I don't see why they don't have some sort of economic adventures combo with some PvE (against computers).

The game needs to create some more interesting content to get people to play more.

Mainly "Loot chasing". If they added more interesting buildings that are soul bound and some tradeable (such as witch tower). it might make it more interesting for us to repeat adventures over and over regularly.

But yea. You could request to delete your account on Ares and create a new one on Zeus.
