Phase 2 Update?

Can we get an update on phase 2? Like how about when it starts. I've heard whispers that the various euro servers were about to start it as in tomorrow. So I went over to the euro english site and this is what i found on their front page:
"Dear Settlers,

The first phase of the anniversary event is finished, the second one will start tomorrow (02nd of July).

The activation of the second phase requires a short downtime, this will take place tomorrow approx. 08:00 am GMT +1 (BST). This should last around 30 minutes.

During the second phase some servers will cooperate! More details about this will be revealed tomorrow.

[21:57] [UBI] BB_DXTed: Phase 2 should be tomorrow. .. I'm going based off of what I've read.

So... it looks like some servers got advance notice of when the 2nd round was going to start and others didn't even get told after it had started.

Nothing like an unbiased and fair start to the round, is there?

Its sad, that I have to go over and read the European servers to get an update on the event.

Well phase 2 started today without a single word letting us know. Thanks BB.

I see they also threw out the pairings by order of finish and paired by country instead. Once again an event rigged to favor the older European servers. They say one thing and then do something completely different. Makes you wonder why they even bother?

Because they know people will continue to give them money despite them being completely ignorant assholes. They don't give a FF about the players...no devs ever do.

Here it is 10:15am eastern time, the germans have been up and working for long time now. And still no announcement on start of event. Or what happens with reward from phase 1. Good to know they are keeping us in mind. (incase you couldn't tell, thats sarcasm)

Yes I know i'm ranting a little here. But its kinda rude to just not let us know whats going on. And to show apparent favoritism for other servers. Or is it the BB Mods here are on 4th of July vacation so we are just left with no one to update us?

So,
(1) we get no announcement of the Phase 2 start on our forums or in our mail,
(2) phase 2 starts when large percentage of US players are asleep, and weren't able to plan for start due to no announcement (see number 1)
(3) US servers are paired together, which appears to have nothing to do with what happened in phase 1 and is nothing like how we were told it was going to work originally.
(4) no announcement....

What the 'heck? We got shafted with US-2 ? These pairings are really messed up. And no announcement on the front page about phase 2 starting either!

They're like really trying to screw us over. We're at the bottom of the list right now.

Isn't Phase 2 going to end later for you than for realms in Europe?

Well as we have seen they obviously wanted to make us try harder.

Yay they paired us with the other US server, we're going to lose for sure...My thought was that they should have paired servers like this: First and Last, Second and 2nd to last, 3rd and 3rd to last...I think that would have been better than having 5 servers paired together.

How are to earn balloons is there supposed to be antoher quest chain?

I'd have also expected something like this, combined with some timezone mixups to balance out the time differences.

At least they tried this time --- instead of the EOTW event where they didn't make any adjustments.

We shouldn't be surprised at all. All of those European countries have anti-american sentiments. wait...no, I'm mistaken...The whole world does.

We're not trashing you, we're trashing BB for arranging the event like they have. It's not your fault that your server is low population. Why they ever opened a second US server is beyond my comprehension. Most people were sick of BB and bored out of their minds, why did they think adding a new server would change anything. Just less people joined to play it. You are actually hindered because they paired you with us (Zeus)...since we can in no way compete with most European servers.

But you guys were at least able to finish it. Maybe our pitiful contributions could help push us to 150. Who knows?

Phase 2 started w/ a Major security breach!! All our passwords have been stolen!! Come BB - who leaves (even on supposedly secure severs) passwords in plain view text - who do you have working for you = grade school drop outs???

So, basically by the time they got around to telling us that Phase II had started, several of the European servers, who had been given about a day's notice of the start time, were already past 20%

Thanks Ted for letting them know how upset we are about that.

I don't even see the point in wasting resources on this anymore. Why bother if we're set up to fail from the start. I think i'll keep my resources and not do this event and continue with my adventuring instead.

There is no reason to quit 1 day into it. Don't have a defeatist mentality. We were just given late notice which didn't set us up to fail. It only was rude and inconsiderate. We are sure to at least hit 100% and better if ppl would stop simply just giving up bc of a bump. This is the reason we are doing so bad honestly.

P.S. How does no one realize yet that you aren't really wasting resources if you use cheap/unused resources? If anything, its only spring cleaning. If you're using water, pine logs, or even hw logs (which are basically worthless on own) then you aren't loosing anything. And for the higher ups that have surplus or deerstalkers, meat is another great balloon maker.
Its not ppl are using weapons or expert items to convert into balloons. And if you are, then you are an idiot.

Additionally, we will still get rewards based on the percentage complete. We won't be first to finish, but we need to keep plugging along and get as much as we can.

I agree with Airyk and Arcain on this. We should try and reach the 200% mark in spite of the handicaps they have put in front of us, if for no other reason than to show that we can.

I'm surprised no BB's have posted anything in here yet. kinda not surprised really.

the BBs have been mostly MIA for a couple days now.

I heard that they are going to start Phase 3 secretly and have it running in the background

I called it on a thread about the increased cost for bookmaking, which so few (including myself) knew about. Said I wasn't going to bother with any balloons that actually cost resources, as I'm sure there's something either in the smallprint or the execution that is somehow going to screw things up on this adventure.

PS. How about a 'change your password as we got hacked' quest for 1,000,000 balloons?
