My "16% chance of finding mined copper" stopped happening

I don't know if this is a "technical" issue or not, but...

When I first started dumping manuscripts and tomes into my Jolly (I used one as a guinea pig) he was finding extra marble, iron mines, and mined copper ore enough to make it novel and almost worth the astronomical amount of time it takes to make these books. But with the last maintenance, I think the one that introduced the balloon event, ALL of that stopped. I think he has found maybe one extra marble and ONCE found 50 copper ore. Has it been nerfed that badly?

Well, it is only 16% Chance of finding Mined Copper. So out of that 84% Chance, you are going to fail and only 16% of the time, you are going to be successful.

Right - but without counting the exact number of times I've sent him out, and he's the only one I use for this task, its been a "fail" every time but one. And finding the extra Iron Mine is a 24% chance - roughly a 1 in 4 - and that is also been 100% fail.

Edited to add: He IS finding the larger copper deposits though.
