Lets discuss the news here in a bit more formal way, starting with a question, How do you think these changes will impact your guild.

Agreed. Leechers are going to get kicked. I'm not in any guild but wasn't that the whole point, didn't guild leaders want this? Several posts (I'm not gonna look for them) asking devs to allow leaders to know who was on, who was active, who did their guild quest, and who didn't?Quote:

Aside from knowing who is actually doing the guild quest (not much is worse than waiting on 2-3 ppl to finish for days), the activity indicator will be great. I hope its something more than simply "active/inactive." More along the lines of "last log on date." Not a guild leader myself, but after the update i'll prob be 2nd or 3rd in line for succession. It will be nice to know how many and who i have to off to ascend to the throne. Muhahaha
I do not think that in our guild anyone will be kicked because they failed to do the GQ. It may be that they will leave the guild under pressure from members who want the guild to be the best it can be. It will also identify those who need help but don't want to ask for it.
Knowing the inactive members may make it possible to get rid of those who have stopped playing so that new mature, active players can be invited. Should make the GQ easier to complete.
I'd hope no one gets booted from any guild instantly for not doing GQ. I'd imagine only if it was a continual thing. Although I would like to see certain info only available to officers. Definitely GQ completion, and possibly activity. I could see problems arising from maybe a player struggling a bit and then having guild gang up on him/her. Too much info on individual player activities could lead to ostracizing. Sounds a bit pessimistic but I prefer to hope for the best but plan for worst.
Questions??? hmmmm... well i asked BB_llConnorsll but he was unsure- if a guild leader were to step down, would the person who was going to take his place have to have a guild house on his island?
