Thats a very good question!
If they didn't have to have a guild house, then every guild would switch leaders for a day so that everyone could remove their guild house and free up a building slot and tons of land.

I am excited to have the updates of activity and GQ- now we can whisper the lurkers and help them finish their gqs whether they like it or not
What determines length of inactive should be declared by the guild leader, much like what director said. But really, I think the real question here is what happens if the guild leader leaves every member as the successor, or they all have equal succession, who will take over then if the leader is inactive?
What I saw from the dev post, test player Ubi3 and Ubi8 had possessed rank 3 simultaneously. Which means multiple members can possess the same rank. Now I'm assuming that every member begins at the lowest rank, let's say rank 3, and the guild leader can go in and change their pecking order much like how the leader can change officers. Now let's say the leader doesn't change it and everyone is left at the same rank, in this case rank 3, and since it is possible for multiple members to have the same rank. Once the leader becomes MIA, who is first in this order? This is what I'm trying to allude at. Of course, I could be wrong and saw it differently.
that is a tad confusing how they've got it n1i3k6o9n, i'm sure/hope its just a sample of working test and will figure up way to have clear successor order. And sometimes guild log goes crazy. Most times when I promote someone, i have to do it twice and then log shows I promoted "so and so" to next level and then demoted same "so and so" to the same level. makes no sense, but just how it does it.
Good question
All these questions to the proposed Guild Changes and no answers...
Something this fundamental to the game and it hasn't even been tested for functionality and/or feedback?
Kinda makes you wonder what the test server is for? :(
Looks like another epic UBI fail in the making...
(Hoping I'm wrong about that but their track record doesn't tend to give me a warm happy feeling about it)
1. Please do not start another rage thread on my thread. The last thing i or the BB's or anyone else for that matter needs is another 60 page long of our complaints.
2. The latest news for guilds is still in development. it isn't even ready for the testing server. However our job is to point out these faults, so that the Dev's can fix them. in a orderly and calm way i might add.
3. Who is a failure? Blue Byte? not yet. They have until the end of the year to make good on their PvP. if they fail that, nothing, and i mean nothing will revive the dead bones of TSO.
