Home Island Suggestion

I think that on the home island there should be a two new features that should come into play. Have a shipyard of some sort where you can put it near the water where ever you want and you would be able to trade resources with different countries or factions (made up of course) and there would be a time wait involved obviously for sailing time. It would almost act like the provision house in a way but you are able to trade all resources. The more common resources would be less sailing time and get more bang for your buck. The more rare resources you may have to put more in then you get out and the sailing time would increase. You could also add the ability to have your ship or ships look for treasure or go on naval adventures. This could open up a whole another aspect of the game and economy.

My other suggestion is to add smaller islands around the surrounding main island. Be able to use them for building space and or add some just for decoration.

hey im just throwing this out here, not trying to troll but you must think realistic. how long will the Devs take to get this done? pvp was promised 2 years ago, all of this you are suggesting to be done will take forever and push everything they are planning on adding to the game back. Everyone, not just you, needs to stop suggesting or requesting all this new content. lets critic what they are planning on coming out with and get pvp back in the picture before we suggest any new extravagant ideas. I myself have a problem with my island- i have no building spaces available, an easy solution to this would be if Devs made floaters giftable. This will free up 40+ building spots and floaters is already an in-game content. QUICK SIMPLE EASY

Easiest solution is to increase the lvls for all buildings to 10. charge more for the upgrade too. when things go to lvl 10 you can free up more space of other buildings. basically you're consolidating 2 building types into 1. thus almost free up the island by half of the space.

this requires almost no extra development or graphics or island design.

no need for new art for each lvl. just make it so every 2 lvl changes graphics.

idk- i couldnt picture myself or anyone paying almost 100k granite for a coinage to be lvl10 (lvl1-10 guesstimating). it prob would not be worth the resources-take like 5 years to get your money back lol. what do i know though?

I will echo this suggestion. My favourite feature in Settlers 2 (which is like my favourite PC game of all time) was the shipyards. I really think that having shipyards and the ability to sail to other islands would hugely improve this game. I have made this suggestion elsewhere, but I would like the idea of having other islands on your home map which also had bandit camps, and which you had to conquer before you could settle them.

Basically I just want them to put the old Settlers 2 online.

You want free space?? geese. but 100k is a lot. point is space could be there if you played enough to upgrade it.

and yes I've tossed around ship yard ideas and second island ideas already.

just proposing something simple.

I still think we need bigger islands!

Yeah with the fairy tale system update- now looks like the buildings will be worth getting, there is no way they will all fit on already filled isles. UBI definitely needs to do something about this whether it be make floaters giftable to demo nobles without losing pop or island expansion, but something seriously needs to be done.

This is a really simple request compared to the other ones here, but I want thorns to line my dark castle. With the fairy tale stuff coming, it would be like Sleeping Beauty. Thorns instead of flowers as decorations.
