I did have a buff ready to be picked up in my mayors house, I picked it up and started the bookbinder and so far the bookbinder seems to be working.Quote:

My bookbinder was stalled too. I had a collectible in mayors house i had forgotten about. I collected the collectible, refreshed the game and bookbinder started working again. I cleared cache during this process while game was refreshing.
You sir, you may be a genius. Turns out I had a skunk left in the collections. Once evicted from the Mayor's house and the client refreshed, the bookbinder seemed to be counting down normally. Guess we'll find out if it means it or is just teasing in about 23.5hrs.Quote:

How close is the Mayor's House to your bookbinder, and is it upwind of the bookbinder? Maybe your worker just abandoned the bookbinder due to the odor.Quote:

I had the same problem and got the same response. I how ever have continued to make books and have been doing so for a week now. Its flawed logic on bbs part either i stop making books so it does not stall again (what kinda fix is that) or i keep making books and if it stalls i'm on my own. Well thats pretty much the same option, either way im not getting books. So i took a chance and continued making books. Even used a few glues since then with no problems.
Support already sent me 200 gems and a replacement glue buff, on a Saturday, no less. Can't really complain.
My bookbinder is also messed up. I started 48 hours ago to make a manuscript, and it's still 9 hours left... It should only take 20 hours.
I noticed mine was stalled earlier today, watched it for awhile, ran an adv checked it and it had reverted back to 19hrs 20mins :(. So I tore it down (only lvl 3) now it won'y rebuild, whenever i place it i can see the settler walking to it, it starts building then dissappears, going to submit a ticket.
Is the collectors being left in the major's house really the issue? I have had a few book jobs go poorly, the latest had 2 hours to go this morning, and 19+ hours to go right now.

It's not a bad idea to check the things Bubba_Ho_Tep mentioned if it turns out a collectible buff in the Mayor wasn't the cause but more often than not that is what does it.

My book binder stopped working correctly six days ago. I reported it and still have not heard back from tech support. The timer goes down to about 2 hours or so and then starts over. I have been able to make a manuscript in 6 days.
Do you have a collectible in the mayors house? My bookbinder stalled after maintenance last week, I had a collectible I had forgotten about. I collected the collectible and refreshed, everything has been working good ever since. I've been making books and collectibles daily, no problems. I cleared cache too while I was refreshing the game, not sure if that had anything to do with it though.
so I encountered a bug where the timer on my bookbinder stopped working
I wrote to support and they told me to finish the production with gems
instead I used a bookbinder glue and the timer started working again
unfortunately the timer only ran when the browser was open
once the book finished production seems to have gone back to normal
so if this happens to you make sure to try glue before wasting gems
I just checked my Mayors house and I have no collectibles and it is still re-setting...now 7 days with no production.Quote:

Here are pages upon pages of the same problem with no fix in sight. This is unreal, they need to compensate everyone with the problem daily.
barracks has also encountered a similar bug.
Just a note, if this is a bug, then Blue Byte should be providing the gems.

I know the bookbinder bug has been very frustrating, but rest assured that the devs are aware of the issue and have been working on a fix for it. The patch notes for 11/14 have been published with a hopeful fix for the bookbinder "Bookbinder production is no longer reset after the building is upgraded or moved." Hope they resolve the issue soon. When i contacted support they gave me the gems and suggested I not make any more books until it is fixed. When there is a fix made will we be notified?

I haven't moved or upgraded my bookbinder since the week it was released. So is mine fixed? It's been over 5 weeks now.
My book binder just keeps going from 17 hours to 19 hours and back and forth but will not give me manuscript. I reported this and got a response and gems to complete it but that is just one manuscript. I need many of them and have wasted time and materials trying to make these. I see this has been an issue for months and months so why cant they fix it or do away with it. I have a license tied up on something that is doing me no good. I sure am not going to spend money on a game that cant get an issue fixed any faster than this. I agree with someone that said people having this issue should be sent manuscripts or whatever they are having the issue with. Two to Three weeks of not producing correct is a lot of manuscripts and would appreciate the game sending me some to hold me over till they can fix it.
I also have same problem but now I see other things messed up...like the production bar on a quest (acquire 100 copper ore) goes backward when I log off..checked it twice in a 5 min span.....yep...it's screwed up as well....now I wonder how many other things are messed up that I haven't noticed.
I too am having the same problem with it resetting.
I'm trying to put the bookbinder back in. My builder will get there and the bookbinder will delete. I have refreshed 5 times and even cleaned my browser. What is going on?
My bookbinder never ends. It just keeps refreshing how long my manuscript will take to be done without me ever doing anything. I haven't paid enough attention to see if I'm getting anything made, but I can't change what is being made at all. I really need to make a book and can't.

Some have said in global that if u have a collectable buff waiting in ur mayor's house u need to pick it up and the bookbinder will resume. You may want to check that out.
And afterwards? When we've got the 200 gems, and just can't use that feature that is heavily time dependent?Quote:

The bookbinder bug occurs when you have a buff waiting to be picked up in mayor house- so pick up your buff and your bookbinder will be fixed.
