Ugh! What is this all about? Getting "server zone crash" error message. Support ticket submitted. :( Any ideas on how to fix? Or just wait? I have done all the usual things...clear cache, etc etc!

I was playing this morning just finish and adventure than I got booted of the game. When I try to log on I get a pop up screen that says:
Server Zone Crashed
an error was detected on this zone. Please try again.
This occurred today at 10/18/13 around 8am PST, as of right now still getting same error and I tried three different browsers
Tried logging in and receive a box that popped up saying, "Server Zone Crashed, An error was detected on this zone. Please try again".
Already sent in a ticket and called support with nothing happening. My gold and pumpkins are RUNNING. How is BB going to fix this for me.?
Plus being a big trader, as they can see with my trades, I am locked out and cannot trade and do anything. If anyone goes to my island, they get the same message.

That's the screenshot of the page and it's pretty sad that I have been complaining for MONTHS about my game being broken. NOTHING ever happens or it gets fixed. Now it looks like it finally broke.
Please don't say clear your browser, I have cleared them and reset all three of them. Tried numerous computers and even had others try to log in as me and we all get the same message. Clearly this is either on my game or directly affecting my game.

This is crazy and yes, am I venting. Sure you all would be too if you had your gold running, your pumpkins running and am a large volume trader missing out on gathering pumpkins.

Getting the same error, I would assume the game is down for everyone.
Having the same problem sense about 8:00 am or so.

Same issue. Its not with everyone, only some of us. My friends are playing just fine. :( This happened to a buddy of mine during the easter event of 2012, he rage quit because he was locked out the whole event and when he finally got back in lost out on all the easter items. I am hoping this does not happen to us.
Add me to the list of players experiencing the same problem since 10am EST. Same guild as Superdave...what will GLUE do without us! Also put in a support ticket, cleared cache...etc!
Well, I have contacted support and even called them directly. They are aware of this and who knows when this will be fixed. Yes, some of the lucky ones are able to log on and do what they can with the event. It is sad that I am the leader of a Great Guild and with great players whom I have written numerous items on tips and tricks, only to get locked out on. How will they fix it, when they tell us to sit tight. I want to sit tight, playing my game. That's all I want, to play my game. Maybe that is asking for too much.
I have had numerous problems with my game for months and they know about it. I have submitted numerous tickets and I still have mini-rollback and major lag. I guess they want to sweep it under the rug and not allow some to play the game. Am I mad, sure am. All of my stuff is running unbuffed and my pumpkin patches, which I wrote doc's on, how to time them properly and buff them accordingly I cannot benefit from my own stuff I wrote. But what can I say, I am told sit and wait. That's nice of them to say sit and wait. If I have had problems with my mini-rollbacks that were never fixed, when can I expect to attempt to log on. Will it magically pop up and say, Ok, Stevie you can play your broken game now.?
I guess they want certain players to quit and for some to sit in silence waiting for nothing to happen. Am I venting, maybe, but to get BS mails saying we know about it and we are working on it. That's nice, but EVEN the cable company give you a time when they expect your cable will be back. The power company too, if you look on their web site. Clearly with all the changes with BB's coming and going must tell the real story. Where's Meesherbeans when we need her.? Ted, a gentleman, where are you.?

Got the usual "canned response" from support. Gotta love the last sentence: "have a nice day and enjoy the game." Can't log in...how can I enjoy the game! Geez.

This does seem to be an issue that intermittently affects some players on the Zeus server. The team is investigating the issue as I am typing to you. If you have any additional information about the issue that might assist us to isolate a cause, we would love to hear from you in a support ticket. Also, if any additional people are affected please do create a ticket so we can better understand the extent of the issue. Please be advised that we do not have phone support service at all for this game. The Ubisoft Tech Support team cannot assist you with any The Settlers Online issues. I am closing this thread because we really do need to redirect this issue to support tickets to better assist everyone affected. We will respond to tickets in the order they are received. At this point, most who have submitted a ticket about this issue should have received a response in the e-mail address listed in their account. Nope Hermes...it is also affecting Superdave.
Same issue happened to me a few days ago while I was rearranging buildings on my island. "Server Zone Crashed, An error was detected on this zone. Please try again" message popped up and booted me off the game. Once the new start of a settler day rolled around, I was able to log back in. The start of a new settler day is 5:00 am EDT for me. (when new quests pop up)
Game has been good since then.....until the next time...
What internet are you all using? Maybe that is the problem I am on ATT Uverse

I am re-opening the thread to collect feedback on whether this issue has been resolved for affected users. We are still taking updates to individual customer service tickets to investigate accounts, so if you are still being affected the best action is to contact an agent via support ticket.
Thank you for opening my Thread, I do not recall me asking you to close it. Needless to say, yes I still have mini-rollback and this has NOT been fixed.
What was fixed is the log on page part, so I can long on, thank you for that.
Clearly here is what I noticed about this issues, if you would like to attempt to fix this once and for all.
Those whom were on a certain server, like myself, had issues logging in.
It ONLY affected those on that certain server.
Why did this happen, well I have my own ideas, but like your own Management Team and they know who they are, know about this issue for MONTHS.
It causes mini-rollbacks and myself placing fields and wells numerous times. Like I go and attempt to place a field and I have to do it twice.
When assigning a General, it just spins and sits there. When I try to do anything game related, I have massive lag. I lose trades all the time and now click out of the Trade Office and start fresh. Something we learn to live with, this is the problem. Your Management Team knows all about these issues, you can contact me directly and I will give you their numbers. As we both know, I call in to them.
For what I have lost, this will take me hours to figure out. I lost pumpkins, from UN-Buffed Patches, Gold Ore from running Mines, Gold Bars from un-buffed Gold Smelters, the ability to TRADE for get the Pumpkins that BB gave out today and it has been a free for all in those trading.
But most importantly, I lost respect for some here who choose to close threads and not allow this Forum to work as it is intended. By closing threads, you are NOT allowing the community to work as it is intended for. There is and was NO inappropriate chatting or words being exchanged here. I lost my ability to communicate effectively with others in the game to see if it was ONLY me or game related. You resorted to censorship or the lack of allowing us to talk about what was going on. Meesherbeans and Ted atleast took the time to speak with us to try to help. Sure we all get upset, emotional and feel helpless. You only fueled that further. Maybe you did it because that is what you were told, still, they should know better as well.
As a group of players we give you feedback to the game, I am on the test server and have written numerous documents in the game. There are times, when people like you, make we wonder why do I bother. I love this game and the friends I made along the way are worth the aggravation you have caused.
There is a member in my guild who has lost 4 generals and all the troops when his game went down. They are missing and I asked him to keep on sending in support tickets. That the best advice I can give him, being the leader of a larger guild.
To answer your question in a few words. YES, the log in issues is resolved. The rest of the broken aspects of this server, REMAIN.

i sent in ticket after ticket same messege. its not the gamer's fault. how can a problem big as this go unsolved for so long with all the money u make come on now. this just keeps giving me reasons to leave the game THANK GOD i didn't spend real money on this game cause its not worth it. u cssnt moke any thing without fear of the server crashing and now. so pls fix the problem cause ppl might get tired of this crap and leave the game.

This was a tech issue today that was affecting multiple users. If anyone is still experiencing this issue, please contact customer support through a support ticket, this way we can escalate it again. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
I was affected by this earlier today. I had just started the Horseback adventure and had all my generals there when the zone error hit me.
Now that several hours have passed, I can log into the game, but my generals and troops are gone, but the adventure is not running anymore.
Please help return my troops and generals please.
I am sorry to hear that LordBritish, it seems like they really do not care about this server that you me and others are on. It is crystal clear our server (NOT ZEUS) the actual server that is carrying/holding our accounts, is broken.
I still have Mini-roll backs MUCH WORSE then before. Every 60ish seconds to 90 seconds, my game pauses and freezes for about 5 seconds. If I assign a general, it freezes and then I go back and nothing was assigned. The same with posting trades, they disappear and are gone. I am tired of submitting tickets for losing stuff. So, why can't they fix the real problem.? I cant even look for the collectables, as my game pauses and freezes so much I give up. Speaking of which, everyone is getting pumpkIins for their collectables and guess what, ZERO HERE.
Am I complaining, darn right I am. I have paid a good deal of money to play a broken game. I have asked over and over and over and over for them to fix this. It was NOT and NOW with today, it is 200% worse now. I have asked for them to debug my account and they never responded to me. Could they care less about someone who PAYS to play this game. NO.
LordBritish, I have plenty of Adventures, if you friend me in the game I will give you some. I am sorry for your loss and one of my guildies had the same problem as you. I cannot believe they have NOT fixed this yet. The only bright spot is that we can log into the game and shut stuff off.
So, BB's you can clearly see there is a problem with this server. Now it is a simple FIX, replace this server that everyone you are aware of is on it, which is easy to find out and switch them over to a new server that is NOT ALL MESSED UP. Fix these simple issues, before the entire game gets messed up.

This is the 2nd separate time this has happened to me.
I can log in on tsotesting.com and thesettlersonline.net, but I am incapable of logging into Zeus server.
I have been attempting to log into Zeus server since 11pm est and it is now 3am est. I now have wasted 4 hours of buffs on pumpkin patches that were turned off until I could log on at 11pm est. I am going to miss out on that buff and any other buffs on my gold chain and e-wood mill. And I am also going to miss my log in bonus.
Anyone else or is this just me?
Another hour has come and gone.
Sigh. So either there is some sort of occasional conflict that prevents the EU server and the Zeus server to work at the same time or something else is wrong. Because it works just fine now without the EU server going.
Thanks for your offer Stevie, but I'm not concerned about the adventure - just recovering my generals is all. I understand that things don't always go as planned and am confident that BB will come through with a fix and perhaps some sort of compensation for our troubles.
I was mistaken, sorry. The quest icon/panel that normally appears in the lower-right side of the game screen was gone so that lead me to believe the adventure was not running and my generals/troops were AWOL. As it turns out, I am able to get to the adventure via the Quest Book. So I have my generals & troops and can carry on with the adventure. I no longer have an issue with the game, thanks.

I am constantly getting this error when I leave the game running, surfing in another tab, or without pressing a key or clicking in the screen in the game tab.
I then reload the browser tab and all is right with the world. Until it times out again.Quote:

This occurs regardless of which browser I use. It repeats consistently using FireFox, Opera, Chrome, and IE.
I'm running win7-64, all browsers are 32bit.
I have the latest flash.
It appears to be tied to a timeout function, I haven't narrowed down the time window yet. It's happened when the tab is idle for a little as 10 minutes.
Any thoughts from the devs?

I think this is a different problem, although it could be related. I can log in fine, and when I get the error, which is a little different, I can refresh and log back in straight away.
The strange part of this problem is I can hear the background noise of something happening, a buff finishing, new mail, explorer or geologist finishing, as soon as I click on something that needs to talk to the server, boom, error message. I can scroll around on the map just fine. but interactions are what trigger the error.
It's not game breaking, or keeping me from playing, just very annoying to have to refresh the client all the time.

Seems a lot of bugs/glitches happening lately with the game. Mayors house collectibles being stuck when producing and provisional stalling as well. Hopefully everything will work out and be fixed.
This same thing has happened to me twice now. Once last night and I couldn't log back on. Just kept getting the error detected in zone, please try again. Logged on this morning and problem was fixed. Happened again tonight, while doing an adventure. I wasn't even in my island this time when it happened. Same thing as last night, can't log in and keep getting the same message. In both cases I was logged in and playing the game, got booted with an error message and couldn't log back in. My wife plays and she can log in. If she visits my island she gets booted but can log back in afterwards and everything is fine. *sigh*

Due to the time it occurred, this specific zone crash issue was related to the golem respawn fix that we initially put into the game. The initial golem respawn fix has since been removed and zone loading issues relating to it should be resolved.
