The only rewards worthwhile are those that need "foodcarts". I have gathered about 300 "herbs" and SIX foodcarts! I haven't found a foodcart in 4 days of getting 90% of collectibles (I refuse to spend 90% of my time looking for the last one or two collectibles. When I did, invariably they turned out to be herbs or scarecrows).
This event is extremely time consuming for little or no reward. I'm done with searching.
I tend to agree with you. Where are the food carts?

Bronze Cauldrons are only found on adventures. And then, its a random chance, but for me about 4/5 of my adventures have Cauldrons.
??? I find 60% zoomed out halfway, then get to 90% zoomed in. I don't have time to go over the whole island with a magnifying glass to find the last herb.Quote:

You can make a Skunk and a triple buff for free provided you got the resources. While there could be some adjustment to the spawn rates, it's optional content and not even worth whining about (of course, your questbook flashing just about every 8h telling you about a new quest is superdimensional annoying...of course of course).
Sorry they don't hand out those freebies with your daily login reward.
So you consider alerting others about badly skewed events as "whining". You are probably one of those still killing Golems, finished the Easter Crises and p!sses away your time looking for 100% of the collectibles. Your type is exactly what BB are looking for, those that will blindly perform any quest or event they throw out.Quote:

As for the rarity of food carts/kettles, I think that is intentional. Of course the better buffs are going to be harder to get all the ingredients to make. And it makes sense that there would be more scarecrows and herbs, because you scarecrows in every buff and herbs in most of them. You need more of those two, so they spawn more often.
The balance of what collectibles appear doesn't bother me because it makes sense to me. What does annoy me is when they are not visible to gather or they don't spawn completely and you only find them on a refresh or after a long delay.
You are, of course, entitled to your opinion, but to me, there are so many things I would rather see them working on than this. For example, I would rather -- and I know it's been said over and over again -- them work on upping that super-annoying 25 limit. It's especially bad when they keep putting out events with things like the Balloons and the Golems that require us to spend a lot of time in the Provision house moving clicking and dragging, clicking and dragging. That is not my idea of fun and it gets really dull. The Golems could have been really cool, but having to spend so much time clicking and dragging takes all the fun away. And then the pumpkins you get aren't worth the resources you sank into taking it down.
The collectibles are not an event, it's just random freebies from now on, if you seize the slight gain or not is totally up to you, but contrary you should also petition to get rid of the daily login rewards...oh wait, you don't have to put any kind of effort into it, so that's alright, I forgot again.
But to shed some light on your baseless assumptions because of failing to properly distinguish what kind of content you got, as well as not being able to read inbetween the lines, nor the actual written ones...

I killed my 5th golem because of extra buffs and there was no word on it being revertable again until just the other day and I'm too lazy to hang out in chat to ask people if they need some help. So that's the only illogical thing I did, seeing as the all the information (health/dmg/resources) were already known and I could've just made the exact amount for L4, but too lazy.
I do one round of checking the most common places where my stuff spawns, which is about 45% and call it a day there and may find one by accident when replacing a mine or well, so you will not see me asking for help finding that "1 last collectible" which usually is between 5-8 for me.
Events so far have been pointless resource sinks so far, including the crisis quests for most part, because of extreme fail balancing. In case you feel like checking back on the 20 year anniversary, I've been advocating people to stop wasting time and resources for the rewards as they were, on top of providing the inside whining germany had, because they were "oh so favored by the event"...simply because the US couldn't even make the 100% mark to the like last week to really feel the unbalance of it.
Uhhh what else do I have for you...I do SotV because I can (Vet+blocks) making this a fairly balanced adventure, unlike Nords and BK, but nobody is crying about wanting that fixed. Can still fix SE though.
So yea, this topic is pointless whining rather than telling people it's a farce. Of course you can still voice your opinion of them not supposed to be inside mountains, be hidden by trees or whatever other issues we are still having with them. On the other hand, you could've asked if someone already has made some 3rd party program that will scan the island for you (with the screenshot you provide it) and will tell you the location of most of them (provided they aren't covered by a tree etc). Not only does that exist already, BB is cool with it as well.
Now this is something you can and should be going off about nonestop until it's getting implented. Most of us are wasting far more time filling PH/Baracks than looking for collectibles. The difference one of them is optional and the other one is a time consuming necessity to properly play the game (yaya, we could also stamp that as optional, then we might just make the entire game optional, don't go yapping over that now please) and enjoy it more than it's current state.Quote:

It seems like the nature of how the collectibles are determined by RNG gives people a bigger gripe. While half the collectibles seem 'random', the other half are all one one type (the type is random) - which basically means its EXTREMELY hit and miss on banners, kettles, and food carts. 2/3 of my food carts came in 2 days (7/12 one day were food carts). Same goes for banners, kettles - most were collected on just a couple days,
Even then I can't find the last one. I did learn that sometimes they are "hiding" in the forests so I scroll over those.Quote:

There's a new version on tsotesting.com that introduces some changes to the way collectibles are harvested and the buffs they produce. These changes were implemented specifically because of your feedback. You can read more about it here. I think you'll find the changes satisfying. :)

Would you know it today I have 3 cart icons out of 7 (total of 7 carts) . Don't mind skewness of distributions, but it doesn't look as though there is any consideration for it. I could be totally wrong, but this isn't the first time I've seen this behavior.
