Connection Failed/no experience points recieved

Been playing for a few hours and was doing the Adventure Lost Skull. I had just started it and got to the first camp, killed them all got the message "quest complete" Opened the completed quest , where you get 600 exp points. I watched my experience bar , because I had 10,708 experience needed to level , and I was doing the adventure to get exp., I didn't get the experience and I got the dreaded "connection to server failed" "please click ok to refresh" I did. But the experience was still not there. This really bums me out. I had to wait a day to have enough troops to send it and it cost me a fortune. Is there a way to get my exp? and..............is this something that happens frequently? I've noticed lots of bugs and glitches since I started playing a couple months ago.Thank you for any responses.

I have since gone back and did the "find the 4 ruins" quest in this adventure. Claimed the 300 experience. It DID NOT register. I have also completeded the "get rid of the pirates blocking the valley" quest of the adventure, for 600 experience, and Im afraid to accept it or continue on in this quest . Any suggestions? I don't want to burn up 200 soldiers or cavalry .

When you go to start another Lost Skull Adventure, read the 'Mission' headlines. It reads in there that 'XP earned from the 'adventure quests' will be rewarded 'after' completing the adventure.
