Chrome:TheSettlersonline.net contains malware

So, when I try to access the http://www.thesettlersonline.net/ page, I get this:

I'm from Central Europe, Hungary. I can reach the german site and the European English sites correctly and Tsotesting also (but I play on Ares). Through a USA proxy, I was able to log in on the main page and after that I could enter the game with the direct link: http://www.thesettlersonline.net/en/play

I have tried with chrome and firefox, I cleared the cache, and the history, I restarted the computer.

What can be the problem, with the access of the main page?

May be unrelated, but I'm seeing the malware warning pop up on Chrome for the US site. So maybe it's blocked etc.

Google is blocking me from access to the settlers game and cites a malware threat, Google says that content from static2.ubi.com aknown malware distributor has been inserted into the settlers web page and will infect my computer if I log on. This is exactly the same kind of stuff that has happened to Cempire.org, any suggestions.

Has anyone else received the warning when running settlers online that static2.ubi.com is malware?

likely a false report, as it is calling all the .png pictures in the home page as the malware

I am getting the same exact message. Really hope that there's nothing to it as I don't feel like wiping and reformatting my system :)

I notied on IE that I didn't get the message when I clicked on the main page. I think I'll give it a day or so to see if they clear it all up. Thanks!

I am getting this before I log in....so is it unsafe to enter the game? I find it hard to believe this website has that poor of a protection that something like this would happen with so many peoples account information attached to the game

I regularly use chrome and this only started appearing for me about 7 hrs ago.

I wonder if a developer could shed some light on this as I'm scared just logging in to type this if this domain is somehow compromised. And if I risk playing will my personal details be at risk somehow? I don't know.

I hope this gets sorted soon.

Explorer still fails with similar malware pop-up. Refuse to install a 3rd browser (let alone safari ROFL), just to play an online game.....

Please fix this BB it's mildly annoying...

Google Chrome has listed Settlers Online as a Malicious Site, malware infected. Anyone else getting this...and now apparently it's in Spanish.

lol yea. I'm getting the same thing. I switched to IE to play. Not sure this was the wisest thing as I now get a pop up box on every flash page I open asking to store info on my computer. It claims to be from adobe flash player. I just keep hitting deny. I ran a boot scan while I was sleeping and it found nothing. Malwarebytes is running now. So far nothing found. So maybe hitting deny and being a tiny bit irritated by the box every now and then is worth switching browsers. But I'd still run massive amounts of scans throughout the day lol.
Also I read on forums (I think the eu one) that this is why CEmpire was down for a week. They got infected with malware and shut down to fix it. Good luck

I was able to fix this by simply entering into Google Chrome's settings, go to advanced settings at the bottom and disable malware protection. I know this is not a very safe idea but all of the other browsers approve of Settlers so I did it anyway.

Looks like this has now been cleared by Chrome, if you are still getting the malware alert please delete your cookies/temp files and try again.
