Previous events have had a 2 step phase out where they would stop giving items like pumpkins or Easter Eggs the first week but you could still use them in the store. Then the next week the store would be closed. Now I have a bunch of Presents that I was waiting to see how many I finally had to plan my purchases and maybe buy a few more off the TO but now they are stuck until next year? That is a major change and a major screw up.
Agreed, I'm left with a few presents that I was going to use up once the adventure finished!
I never saw an in-game end date for the xmas event.
You can trade your presents for gold coins in the P House. One coin per present. Such a deal I have never seen. :)
They did the same thing with halloween, it was announced in the xmas dev diaries that it will end on jan 8th. it would have said 2 dates if it were 2 phases but it didnt. i was expecting this, not sure where u all were.
or jan 9th, w.e it was, only one date tho...
There was no First or Second Phase because of the Christmas Surprise.
The Event First phase lasts for 3 weeks (21 days) and then the Second phase lasts for 1 Week (7) so a total of 4 Weeks (1 month)
But because we had the Christmas Surprise it lasts 24 Days. So they decided not to do the 1st/2nd Phases.
Yea, I wish I knew when it was going to end. I was going to purchase $100 worth of gems today when I got paid but now that the 20% sale is over, I won't be doing that. If I knew the sale was going to be ending today, I would have just put it on my credit card and paid it off when I got my check. I've only been playing for about a week so I didn't know the bonus 20% wasn't all the time. Oh well...
you can send in a ticket and ask them to honor the 20% sale given the circumstances, BBs MAY***** give u the sale to buy gems. - i have heard of ppl doing this and getting the sale.
Xmas event at last year was 4 weeks + 1 week event shop open after event was finished.Quote:

The popup didn't change for the last 2 weeks of the event due to no server maintenance on the xmas and then new year's holidays. So no pertinent in-game updates the last 2 weeks. No they didn't do the same thing with Halloween. After the explorers stopped finding pumpkins, I had time to buy a few more pumpkins on the TO and get whatever in the store and voila! no pumpkins in my inventory. BTW, I don't have any Easter Eggs in my inventory either so I must have had a chance to use them too although I don't remember back that far. It's not too much to expect that BB does the same process that they have done in the past unless they make it very clear they were going to change it. The weekly maintenance announcement just got put on the log-in screen after the maintenance was done. No time to use left over presents at all.

We can`t always get what we want on this game. Gotta look at a BB`s point of view as well, they can only do so much, It`s the Devs/BB's in Germany that calls all the shots really.
It could have been 1 week since it's not the length that matters, it's informing the player base to use their presents or else they will miss out on anything they wanted from the Christmas store. I'm just sorry that I wasted over a hundred dollars on a company that can't communicate. Yeah I got a gold tower which was nice but I also have 1200 presents sitting in my inventory which I was going to figure out what combinations of items I wanted after the explorers and quests stopped delivering them. BB failed to warn us.
I disagree MeanRedClown, it was pretty obvious when the event was going to end. A little reading would help. Seems the lazy players are the ones who complain the most about things that were easy to find answers to. I don't understand the logic of waiting until the last days to purchase anything from the xmas store. I don't feel BB failed us, you failed yourself and looking for someone to blame.
There was more then enough time to buy the stuff, you just choose not to spend your presents till the last minute and then when you couldn't you want to blame the BB's for your stupidityQuote:

There is nothing to add to this issue. Right now you and everyone else is attack the BB's personally for failing to do something... Even though it was done.. it continues everyday on the forums... No matter what the issue is, you always blame the BB's even though they aren't the ones who did the changes or the fixes.Quote:

If your so worried about your left over presents, Just sell them or hang onto them till Christmas event comes back. Simple as that.
