Correcto! Same with the Exotic wood school.... I doubt people will buy them because they just cost to much and your getting very very little for them... Make dem tradable and cost resource to buil or do something... Kinda ridiculous
Unless something changes for the better I for one will not be buying these.
no way would i spend that much for it that is totally crazy
I recently just started playing so not sure what has been tried, also have not tried the test site.
Currently have been able to trade marble for granite for a ratio 100:3-3.5 with little to no prob.
Maybe make something in the provision house. Turn marble into granite at a ratio 100:1
Make it only available in the rarity provision house. Only available at level 40.
New daily missions produce X amount of granite in provision house.
In return you should sell more rarity provision houses and get people trying to produce more marble. Thus more people spending more time on your site, witch we all know time is money. ;)
The Granite pit Is pretty much worthless. I must say it is not as bad as the 20000 Gem Endless Copper mine, but it is close. I can get 1000 granite by doing 1 adventure or simply trading for it with 1000 Coins. Hmmmm..... The Granite pit is suspect.:mad::mad:
Well, hate to say it but don't like spending gems on something that ISNT permanent. So don't think will be purchasing this item.
The thing around this building being cost effective is also through a mature server lense. A brand new server it could almost be cost effective depending on cost of gems sold ( I can remember buying gem items for .5-.75 when Zeus was young).
The issue of putting these things out via different servers with different economies is why IMO it needs to be refillable or just endless and more gems as then it becomes more a long term cost that can be analyzed and will almost always be worthwhile when you break it down over a long stretch of time.
What a mess as is though.
The overall scale of the building doesn't change that much with each upgrade. It would be nice if the appearance was larger.
Aesthetically the build is a stand alone build. The settlers headquarters and the bookbinder fit well together. With the bookbinder in the north behind the HQ, the two buildings appear as one. Developing a degree of modularity into all buildings could enhance the game experience. Add an option to place the granite pit closer to a mountain range so that it may better blend with the terrain could be enabled by using the geologist to uncover 1 of 3 mountain placements. Option B could be to create a complimentary build.
The cost and output can be easily adjusted. I think plenty of gem buyers have expressed enough concern to justify a revaluation. I do not have enough knowledge to be able to suggest an actual price point.
I have to run some workhouses because I need a reliable source for those resources. I'm not making any reasonable coin from those builds, it's just a cost of running an island. There should be a limit as to how much easy coin is out there.
so so right. make this pit endless. Players will pay 10k gems for an endless granite pit. I would
Hi guys,
Cleaned up this thread a bit. Though we appreciate your feedback and take it into consideration, please remember to keep the criticism constructive and not make it personal. Defamatory remarks about the BB team is not acceptable.
Would be interesting if you could send out a geo for granite searches to refill such a building, but the searches cost gems to execute (building would need to go to 0, but not be demolished). In its current form this is semi-good for test server and also a little good for brand new servers. For zues and other older servers, it has little value.
lol IKR
Lol yeah.

However, I am hoping for them to change a few things before they add that to the Real server, So the price might be different or something. Everyone should know that all final versions are not the same once its added to the life server.
Only reason id buy a limited supply building like this is maybe from events (costing event resources)
I agree with this statement! A person may buy a pit once, watch it deplete in a few days, and not buy another. But sell a deposit for it, they will sell again and again...especially since you can upgrade the pit to level 5...and buff it! May also trigger exotic basket and red flying settler sales. Seems logical more gems would be purchased in this scenario than proposed example.
I wouldn't even buy it for presents/pumpkins/easter eggs. Think about it. 100 of the event resources (which is FAR less than any other event related building) would cost more than 1k granite. More than 2k granite, heck, even more than 3k granite which is about what you could get from this building with it triple buffed non stop.
Yet, they want gems for it. Not just some piddly little amount either, they want more than say, a silo, watermill, deerstalker hut. And every single building is not only more valuable vs in game economy than 1k instant granite, but is also FAR more useful.
Why on earth would anyone pay 1k gems for.... the same amount of granite you can get from a pirates, roaring bull, etc etc etc. And not have to wait for it on top of that....
I think its funny seeing some of the comments justifying that "they need to make money somehow". Well heres an idea, why dont they come up with something worth buying. The fact they think this would be a good idea shows they are outta touch and continue not to listen to the majority of requests. There a numerous ways for these developers to make money including expanding which would have multiple layers of spending effects. The number one thing I hear people ask for is more room on the island. As for the 1975 gems for a one time and done granite mine, I dont think theres any discussion it would cost more to make this available than would net them a profit.
The set ratios in the store often get outdated quickly from server to server. They need dynamic pricing that is unique to each server and is based off ratios and prices listed on the TO and is updated on a weekly basis.
This is simple BB not going to spend my money on something that goes away, did have a good time on the christmas event and spent alot on trying to get frozen manors, but not even going to look once at this. This sever is getting older need to save the stupid stuff for newer ones. give us space, a extra island, I'll pay you money for something not nothing.
i dissagree with everything!!!! what are we discusssing? oh the granite thing that will never make it to live? ya well i'll side with all the cats
Wait.. We are discussing about Granite?? What is happening to it?? Its being taken away?? O_O
lol would it really be an issue if it was taken away in its current form?......
Based on your feedback, there have been a few changes made to the Exotic Wood Tree School and Granite Pit on the test server. Keep in mind that these changes may differ from the live version.
Granite Pit:
- The capacity has been upgraded from 1000 units to 3000 units of granite.
- It is now refillable.
Exotic Wood Tree School:
- The capacity has been upgraded from 1250 units to 3750 units of exotic wood.
- It is now refillable.
LOL you just found yourself a money maker!!
I think that kind of format will actually do well quite possibly.
Know offhand BB R if it is with omni seeds or a new deposit type that will become available?
does it die when it hits 0 still?
Looks like yes Draconus (which I think is a great idea)
That said they have also introduced a x3 Silo as well as rumours of something called a Bone Church as a drop from the Co-Op adventures. They even improved the rewards from the adventure tables.
All in all on the surface it looks like someone really did a fantastic job of making sure the developers took the input from testers and live servers and got some meaningful changes. I can't stress enough how much this new info looks to be positive and in the right direction compared to before.
There has been an Improved Silo introduced on the test server called Improved Silo. Currently, it is 3 times better than a normal silo.

GREAT now all my silos are worthless
LOL this is positive change. Don't look at it as your existing silos as worthless, look at this as an opportunity to sell them to newer players while you massively increase your wheat production. Besides if you start charging reasonable rates for your RB ls you will have more than enough to get the new silos when they launch no problem:P
There seems to be something wrong with the granite pit and buffing on the test server. I upgraded my granite pit to level 5 and dropped a 2x buff on it and instead of taking 5 out of the deposit, it is taking 10. The way this is working makes it so that it is still far more profitable to use an omniseed on a goldmine, rendering the granite pit worthless. This needs to be fixed before taking it live. or they still wont sell.
:)
