Gem Sale?
According to the home page:
"It's a Mega-Happy-Hour sale! For a limited time, get 100% bonus gems with most gem packages when you purchase them in our online shop. What are you waiting for? Pick up some Gems before the sale ends tonight!"
Can you explain how 100% bonus gems with most gem packages means it's only for one package??? Advertise that you get bonus gems fine but don't advertise that it's 100% gems for most packages when it's not!
-
"most" = the most expensive one. LOL
-
And why is it that you eliminated the $10 package all together? I haven't spent money on gems... and you keep jerking us around, im more likely to stop playing all together.
-
And why only one day? There must be some players who can't play on Tuesday but are active other times.
-
I haven't bought gems in a long time, especially after the anniversary event where we got so royally mistreated in the gem department, but I would like to again if the deal is good enough. I saw the front page -- "100% bonus on most gem packages" -- and started reaching for my card. Hey, I get paid tomorrow, it was my birthday a couple days ago, why not?
And then I saw what they consider "most" to be. One package. The most expensive. I can't get that one. I may be able to splurge a LITTLE, but not that much -- I have books and tuition due next week. I also find it very insulting that they think I am too stupid to realize that the bonuses weren't all 100%. I think they believe people will buy without looking closely enough to realize they aren't getting the 100% bonus.
Seriously bad marketing. It cost you a sale and some goodwill on my end. If you had just said "Bonus gems now!" I might still have bought. But now I'm just upset, and unwilling to buy anything at all.

This is a legitimate "False Advertising" on a Legal Monetary transaction. I too was happy when I read "Most" as I was going to purchase one of the lower level packages so I could finally have a Vet, just to see that it was Falsely promoted and the only package for 100% was the $100 deal which I cannot afford.
I would advise Ubisoft/BB to remove such wording in the future, as someone with a bit more willingness to pursue such matters, may come forth.
Hopefully in the future, we here on the Ares Server may one day get the 100% Bonus or higher on a more varied scale.

they should of had the sale 1 day before Christmas event ended
-
They should also change the wording to be called MEGA UNHAPPY HOUR. Considering that "most" people are not happy. Another false wording.

Not sure why people always complain about this... don't confuse the "normal" amounts with the base amounts. Normal is advertised as a "20% sale". Don't expect a 100% sale to stack on top of that 20% sale.
All levels are at 100% of the base apart from $24.99 which is 140%
$4.99 - Base=600, Now=1200 (100% Extra)
$9.99 - Base=1700, Now=3400 (100% Extra)
$24.99 - Base=4000, Now=9600 (140% Extra)
$49.99 - Base=11000, Now=22000 (100% Extra)
$99.99 - Base=24000, Now=48000(100% Extra)
The text they have in brackets (Bonus: 700) on the page currently I have no clue where they got that from - that would put the base at 500 and 100% of that would be 1000. Anyway.... it's the actual gem amounts that matter.
Here are the "normal" prices i.e. "20% Sale"
$4.99 - Base=600, Normal=720 (20% Extra)
$9.99 - Base=1700, Normal=2040 (20% Extra)
$24.99 - Base=4000, Normal=5760 (44% Extra)
$49.99 - Base=11000, Normal=13200 (20% Extra)
$99.99 - Base=24000, Normal=28800 (20% Extra)

Thank you Tonst for posting that.
What's confusing is the way they word it. Here's what's currently posted for the sale:
1,200 (Bonus: 700)US$ 4.99
3,400 (Bonus: 2,400)US$ 9.99
9,600 (Bonus: 4,600)US$ 24.99
22,000 (Bonus 17,000)US$ 49.99
24,000 48,000 (+100%!) US$ 99.99
If u subtract the 'bonus' from the total listed, these numbers look like the 'base' is:
500
1000
5000
5000
24000
Which of course can't be right. How is the typical player supposed to know what the 'Base' actually is?
Much less to be able to calculate how much more they are getting.
