Since last maintenance I have seen a big drop in the rate at which books drop in Return to bandits nest. Ive done around 15 since and only 2 had any books in it. prior to maintenance i got them at least 2 out of 3 adventures. Was this intentional BB?

There has definitely been a lot fewer science books.

S2KK has been having troubles with RTBN with the Book drop rate for himself..... he did about 10 of them.. then he finally started getting Tomes/Manuscripts after.
are you saying that its better to do a full clear and not use artillerist's guide?Quote:

just ran it 3 more times, 1 set of manuscripts and 2 with double bunnies. They changed it for sure
Not sure about this- i ran like 25 the past few days and got a great amount of manus and tomes (not so much codex)- it was rare to not get any books in one ls. i think of it like MAs- u get lucky on some, or u get lucky on alot and then u have no luck for a while, just RGNs. but they could have changed it, what do i know?
It could be randoms but Ive never gotten so many No Books adventures before, and I too have noticed this
I will say this. I think I ran over 100 RBN during the xmas event, and I definetely went through periods of no book drops.
I havn't tested it since maint (been running RB) but my gut says if you are still seeing book drops every 3-4 adventures nothing has changed.
I just ran 4 - I got 3 drops of manuscripts, 1 drop of tomes, and 1 drop of codex - That 5/8 book chances
I ran 14 before maintenance and only picked up 4 manuscripts... can't drop the rate much more than that.

Pretty much as expected, some people have just had bad luck.
ive been getting more codex now than ever before- books in general are dropping almost every run, it def is just RNG and like MAs
i noticed, too, that books are not often received lately :(

Definately less than I expected.
i dunno... did 10 or so past 2 days... 2 x got no books, 2 x got 2 slots 6 x 1 slot.... so drop rate looks normal, although out of 10 book drops, got 9 manuscripts and 1 tome, no codices....
i meant 1 ran 3 RBN's since the event ended and received manuscripts once, and bunnies 2 timesQuote:

The only problem with the quick guide is that you dont get any Xp from it. so I think it equals out. They shouldnt mess with the drop rate just because someone found an easier way to beat it, After all we paid for the Adv. We should get what we paid for.
Well its not really an XP adventure it more of a loot one. But yeah if you want full XP sure go for the higher loses. But personally taking the xp per recruit loss in the short version still works out better then the XP per loses of recruits and cav doing it all. Sort of like when people used to do traitors and only kill the one camp and then cancel it. You got great xp per loss but no loot. So its all on personally choice. For me as a 50 I just want the books, Starcoins are useless because of the amount I have that I cant spend fast enough as it is. I earn way more then the 180 every 2 day cool down on the weak potion and that is even kinda not that big of a deal to have as they are more of a limited use item.
Long and short of it if you need xp then there are way better ones to do but this is currently the only way to get books fast. Chance at books and glue ( not that I need any more glue Ive got 80 from drops)
I ran 6 RBN this weekend. I got buffs in 2 of them, in the other 4 I got 2 sets of books. 3X2 manuscripts, 1 each with 2 manuscripts 2 tomes/2 codexes and the last gave 2+2 codexes.
Whatever they have changed I love it :)
But who cares about XP when they do RBN? Its all about the books for me.
