You don't get many chances to get something like a Floating Residence for a currency other than gems. And even than, you are limited on how many you can buy. There are likely people that have been around long enough to get every chance that BB has offered to get Floating Res and don't need more, but there are plenty of people that have not been playing since release that need them.
There are 4 ways to get a Noble, 1) Build one from building menu. 2) Buy one from shop with gems. 3) Buy one from TO. 4) Be lucky enough to have someone gift you one. If you get the Nobles that do not use a Building License, the only limit on how many you can get is by how much space you have on your island. In any case, you can get a lot of Nobles, if you really wanted to.
Floating Residence is limited to 3 in shop. There has been a "Limited Offer" that will let you buy 2 more, but you still need to spend gems to get them. There are a lot of people saving their gems to get their first Vet, so this may be the only chance to get a Floating Residence for awhile, without dipping into their Vet fund.
I has total of 10 Floating Residence. Which is awesome! Would love to have more but.. limited stuff... Grr... :/Quote:

Different servers, i imagine the vote is far different between zeus and ares. ares likely has far more clamoring for nobles. side note - down to about 100 nobles for sale.
btw - copper diviner really came in 2nd? pathetic. i will agree there was no good 2nd choice, but come on out of 100% of the votes, (maximum 1 item could get would be 50%), how does zombie get only 27%? shows 46% of people did not know how to use their second vote. zombie was a clear shoe-in and a lot of people fail to understand the basics.
Guild Voting is just an IQ test. :-)

I thought I made myself clear in an earlier post. Floaters are better than Nobles.
I'll explain it again for those 33% who voted for nobles.
Floaters are Rare occurrence limited quantity items. As of right now, the most you can own are 5 (from the easter 2013 event), 2 (from that limited shop), 3 (from the gem store). This means there is a limit of 10 possible (to date) They take up WATER spots. This frees up LAND spots for you to place whatever you want. For those who are near max or at max island space usage, you're going to want to "min/max" your island usage. Floating residence also are NOT tradeable. Which further makes it the best choice.
Nobles are practically unlimited acquirable items. You can get them from quests, gems, and trade. Majority of the cases you can obtain them for less than the guild coins price tag originally offered.
The guild market will now make it possible to get 1 more float rising that limit to 11.
There is no limit on how many nobles you can have. Offering nobles on the guild market is not going to make any difference.
