It is a common conversation in Global that someone has spent hours looking for their last 'collectable'. And what is their reward? Pretty much NOTHING. Why can't it be like was on the bonus days of the 'advent' calendar? Have a box (Click Here) for a bonus scarecrow, herb bunch, kettle, or caldron. The persistent get richer and the lazy stay poor. Isn't that the way it is in the real world?
I stopped doing it after I discovered this. Until BB fixes it get the easy ones, and then stop, or don't do them at all.

Why not have a little something for those who spend the time to find everything. Even 5 GC would work.

Finding collectibles on a friends island always seems easier than finding them on your own island. A few visitors can flush out any remaining collectibles in 5-10 minutes.
Not being able to see the inventory in the Mayors house when producing buffs is an inconvenience. The book binder has the same issue.
This was brought up when collectibles started, and similar points were made about rewards for completing each distribution and the issues in hiding and non-loading collectibles. There was not much support for most of it, and relatively few people even thought it was worth expressing an opinion.

I would think this is the reason that there is no additional reward for collecting all. You are essentially getting free resources to create helpful buffs in the mayor house. Do you really need an extra reward?Quote:

It's not so much that a reward is needed or that anyone is being greedy as it is the inaccurate and misleading text in the graphic. It's just a copy of what all the quest book quests say and as long as it stays this conversation will keep reappearing. After a time or two we file it under 'strange things TSO says but doesn't mean' and ignore it but it is still determined to say Reward which gets people thinking.

Having the counter is helpful but fixing the text would make more sense than having to explain over and over why it's wrong, much like the dratted pop-up that insists you need to upgrade storage to make room for more settlers.
