All the Screenshot of the Week Winners for this month will compete for a chance to win Screenshot of the Month. The winner will be determined by a poll - whoever gets the most votes will win an Angel Gate.

Also, it would be nice if you included any text that accompanied the screenshots.. the text often adds to the appreciation of the screenshot.

lol....dracs is the only one that even slightly impressive, i mean come on- a bunch of raving rabbits that cost what? 1 fish each?- RB loot that is "good"*, clearly not "The best loot ever" as it said in heading- or the nobles upgrading to lvl3, thats about 10k hwp and around the same in marble...come on.... I sent in a screenshot a few months back of the 175-200 FMs or so on my isle (each FMs costs around 22k gc atm), i guarantee you that the pic of the rabbit statues would have "beat" me. Straight rubbish.....

This contest has always favored "newer" players and rarely are any of the week's winners even slightly impressive (like i said), but Dracs is by far the most impressive screen shot out of them all.

I have to agree - I usually don't understand the reason a screen shot is picked. It should be something really impressive, creative, or funny. I always see other pictures that I personally would have favored to be a winner. All that being said, I do like the idea of the contest - we get to see interesting stuff from other players!

Include the quotes too! Mine was all about the quote "Its over 9000"

1. I sent in a nearly identical screenshot with 100+ rabbits before kroton (Not one fish, you charged me way more than that Truehead) and didn't win, which is fine since this time it's a little more relevant with Easter coming.
2. Drac's "over 9,000", and
3. TomatoeHu's "thank you to all my guildies! All good deeds!" adds context which is important.
4. Loot from an RB lootspot? there are 20+ RB LS swapped in guild on the slowest day, I'm not even sure why this got posted.

I can't tell what any of these are pictures of. Are my eyes that bad?

soggy- im sure if u would have been patient, ppl would have given you them for 1 fish per- i traded you over 100, think it was 150 of them, at a decent rate considering the market value of them during that time and there were so many.... i just think that the only decor worth winning ss of the month or even of the week would have to be angel gates, betas or large merchants imo.

What would happen if all those rabbids would go "bwaaaaaaaaaah" at the same time!! I bet the island would have an earthquake!

I'm fine with what I paid for em, I actually did it for the screenshot. I knew that someone would do it, and figured being first would have a higher chance of success. the 2kgc I paid would have been well worth it for 250 gems especially since I'm not a gem buyer. As is I've torn most of em down and have failed a few times to give them away for free in trade tab lol

yes, i believe that is the best possible loot soggyshorts, though on ares server technically 600 coins > 500 gold deposit.

Imo, winning screenshots should be funny, lucky, or interesting shots. I'm not really "impressed" when someone with 9 gem pits has an expensive item. Hopefully no one takes this the wrong way, but when i see an impressive island with a bunch of tradeable decos, fms and level 5 buildings I'm less impressed when I see it was bought with RL cash. BB on the other hand might see it differently.....

edit: add in "pretty" for screenshots I like. If you placed a bunch of decorations around your mayors house and it's pleasing to the eye, I like it. How rare or expensive it is if it is tradeable doesn't matter to me. Remember when things like WT weren't tradeable? Back then I was impressed by them

not all gem pits on the server were pruchased with that individual's cash- the 5 remaining pits i have were all purchased with gems i got from resources i traded for gem packs (i am sure there are others that did the same). Opinions will vary on this topic, but i personally dont care how an island looks (decor wise), its all about the production/pop/storage, things that actually have an affect on game-play (positively). I am still waiting to see the ultimate DB ls- granite in slot 1, cannons/damas in 3-4, marble in 2, settlers in 5, WT in 6 and the slot 7 granny- that would be the SS of the century in my book (double slot granite and WT would do it).

Most basic problem though is we are quite limited on what sort of screenshots we can provide.

Absolutely agree with you! Having 50 noisy decorations that make noises on your island is kind of cute.... for a minute. But since they provide NO value to the production, strength or value of the island, some pics make no sense. Perhaps BB would consider some sort of prize/gift for those users who have uniquely productive islands...

That's an interesting take on what would make a good SS. Not sure about the pop/storage angle, I mean if someone had a 50/50 FM/ISH island it would be impressive. Boring, but impressive.

Production and efficiency would be cool. I'd like to see a really good bread chain. Currently mine has
-7 depo/12
+65 wheat/12
-351 flour/12 (based on 9h buff a day)
-3k water/12
on a rather small chain, I imagine some of the biggest chains were a pain to balance, although most don't run full chain.

How about gold chain? Does anyone have one that is well balanced using 3x buffs? That's be worth a SS imo

I have x8 fast gold mines, 24 smelters, 36 coinages (everything lvl 5). that is optimal for x3s, but atm putting rainbows on gold mines are pretty profitable so if x4 your fast gold mines at lvl5 u can self sufficiently support 32 smelters and 48 coinages (lvl5)- but this also leaves no room to stock gold ore for badges (unless u sleep your smelters). i have no plans for expansion of my chain any time soon, but possibly in the future.

ya cant vote without knowing about the pic. All i see are thumbnails of stuff that happens in game normally, as in its not detailed enough to see anything beyond what we often see when we log in.
