Make Buff Mail STOP!!

I love the new mail box system, but please please please stop the buff mail!!!! Having to delete hundreds a day is ridiculous!! If you MUST have the feature, I suggest you put it in our news feed and not our mailboxes. To have those useless pieces of mail is time consuming even with the new click and delete feature. It is very frustrating to wade through the sea of notices to get important mail.

PLEASE TURN IT OFF!! (At least until you can figure out what to do with it. I am begging you...PLEASE keep them out of my mail box!!)

I'm fairly okay with the buffmails in my Inbox. After all, we have been dealing with that the whole time. It's the same p.i.t.a. in a pretty new package. What I have a problem with is the inclusion of the buffs I place in my Outbox. Seeing as it only holds the last 50 mails, having them all be outgoing buffs makes the whole thing worse than useless. A complete waste and a shame because I liked the idea of it.

Yes, it has always been a problem which is why I thought it would be easier with the new mailbox set up. It is not. It is totally useless for people who have buff partners in this game. I also agree with the issue concerning the outbox. More of the same.

Yes...that one ceased being funny right after we hit Tinks repeatedly for days on end while she was on a two week vacay. heh

def. dont need them in the out box. i know im buffing someone, duh.

if you're online and trading buffs, dont need to see them in the inbox either. partners have to either take turns, or spend time deleting the durn things. if im idle or offline its good to see that someone buffed so u can return the favor, but multiple notices certainly arent needed. either one notice that u were buffed, or even a different mail folder just for buffs would be helpful.

EP i trade with several people and i dont want to block them. we communicate by mail also. i shouldnt have to inconvenience myself because the tool is broken.

also need a way to delete things from outbox, and save things from outbox. and guild staff doesnt need a notice for every single person they send a guild message to. total waste of space, while removing what could be important messages from outbox.

Evidently, I don't know how to use the ignore feature on mail or it isn't working as I have tried repeatedly. I did think of putting my buff partner on ignore, but we should not have to resort to such tactics to eliminate this annoying problem.

I cannot be online 24/7 and my buff partner is half a world away from me so we have different schedules. We try to schedule our routine buffs twice daily and near the same time frame. It isn't fair to players for UBI/BB to ask us to miss sleep or miss regular mail so we can avoid their issue!

I just spent another block of time deleting the buff mail. I will come here every time I must do that and bump this up until someone pays attention. Maybe if I sent the Devs 300 plus pieces of spam daily they would get the hint?!

Because I have lovely guild mates, I have been deleting even more buff mail (never complaining about the wonderful buffs I receive!! THANK YOU!!). However, I am going to visit this spot each time I have to spend my time on this so maybe the Devs will understand eventually and fix it!!

STOP THE BUFF MAIL PLEASE!!!

I know who buffs me, but my buffers don't have a need to be "recognized" for their good deeds. We don't do it so someone will buff us back...we do it because we want to make other people happy by helping them grow their resources and their island.

And if you are saying you must know who buffed you...you could read it just as easily in your news feed. :)

I just deleted another 175-200 buff mails!!

Simply put them in a separate category that has a "delete all" option. Problem solved. Will they do it? Unlikely.

And yet the buff mail continues...this morning it became more of a problem to wade through the buff mail because of my guildies sending me REAL mail I needed to see first thing. I cannot properly take care of my guild if I cannot communicate with my members!

PLEASE!! YOU MUST STOP THE BUFF MAIL!!!

A reasonable solution would be if all buff emails in the inbox and/or the outbox could be 'one-click' selected from a context menu for mass deletion. One at a time in the inbox, and not at all in the outbox, is not useful. The outbox especially, with only 50 (or 49) email kept, one set of 50 buffs on a friend's island clears the outbox by filling it with the useless outgoing 'you buffed a friend's building' notifications.

Zynnia is right, I don't want to have to delete 100 messages every morning. We really could use a "spam" folder where all those notification messages would be automatically routed so we could still look them up if we really wanted to see them.

A spam folder would work! Anything to make them go away from normal mail so I don't have to continually fight the problem.

The outbox is of no use at all with buff mail clogging it up. The one click method is in place, but it will delete everything in the mail box (which I do not want to lose all my mail at once). A menu to designate would be good, but stopping the buff mail and rerouting it to the news thread would be the best answer as it could still be seen and we don't have to deal with it anymore at all.

I deleted over 400 again a few minutes ago. Sick of it!

Specifically, when I mentioned a 'one-click' method, selected from a context menu, I refer to one that would allow selection of 'all buff notices' for deletion, leaving other email there.

I spent much time today deleting buff mail. What exactly will it take for the Devs to come to my rescue?! I am growing so weary. Please Devs...I am begging of you to hear my plea and save me from this wretched pile of buff mail. Make it stop.

I tried this and while I cannot receive normal mail anymore from this person (making it quite inconvenient trying to take care of the guild now)...it does nothing to alleviate the problem with BUFF MAIL coming from him! So how did you get it to stop????

So the "select all" only deletes mail on that page and not the entire mail box full of mail?

Yeah it only deletes from that page but it is better than deleting them individually. It only takes a few seconds or maybe a minute to do.

NO.

"Select All" does select ALL inbox email, not just the 8 that show. What was described by TSO_Louisa is to click on the 7 or 8 emails, then use the context menu to delete only those.

Ok well the time I tried it I must have only had one page and did not pay attention. Guess I will let them build up and try it with multiple pages.
