Feedback - Patch notes 3/27

the new type attacks brought into the game by the ranged and wpp was the best thing i've seen happen here in the three years i've been playing! NOW, you are changing them and the adv drops to get them fairly easily. THAT is a set-back of immense porportions and a slap in the face of hard-playing adventurers server wide (in my opinion). i hope this will not cause severe attitude changes in the players and therefore cause them to find other games where they will be treated as valuable members and shown the respect and devotion they deserve. long live THE SETTLERS!

Why would you change the use of Range Support and Weak Point Potion? The purpose of buying these special items is because they are "special items" and now your reducing there function to only a single one time hit per camp. That's a bad team decision and in doing this change were is the game value on these "special items" ? The purpose of having special items that are additional purchases or rewards is because they offer a twist or a value to the game, in other words it becomes "FUN" and interesting (especially for lvl 50). Now you are taking away the "FUN" from the game. So disappointed in this BB team decision on this one... This is an "F" on the grade scale. Changes are made to attract players and to keep the game fun, fair and interesting this change doesn't fall under any of those headings.

I don't understand, something is working just fine. So let's fix it. Leave the weak point potion and range support alone. I looked forward to using them for 6 months I've been with the game from it's beta time, not getting help when you ask for it(waited 10 days) And the continuing bug, and the Nerfing, this game is one I think I would have others play

so no one wants to read the new patch notes they put out?

Because people are using them to quickly complete DB Adventures

Given that I bought over 300 of these adventures mainly for the buffs and now I'm being told that its being changed on the fly is unacceptable. I would not have spent gems, money, and other resources to buy so many knowing that it was not going to function as it was promised. Now i am told that i have 1 week to run over 150 that i have left, or lose the entire reason I bought them? There are better options to just springing on the community with 1 weeks notice.

A. Make a new adventure just like MSE with a different name and buff drops to act like they want, so it doesn't affect the original adventure.
B. Allow a refund of gems/presents/ adventure exchange.
C. Delay this change for a month or 2 to allow people to have an adequate amount of time to run their MSE's. You can do this while you rework things and also remove it from the Epic items in the gem shop. This would give players time to run the MSE's they have remaining.

If this change goes forward on the 27th as planned with no changes and it renders all my MSE's worthless.... then I will be voting with my wallet!! No more money at all for BB, ever. I have played for 3 years now through all the glitches, resets, server crashes, ect..... and i have spent money on this game. I stood by this game. You sold us a bill of goods and a promise with this adventure, its time you live up to it and honor this. Just as you did when you messed up the pricing on an item in the guild market!!

I agree with the others - why change this? We've had these buffs how long - where was the notice that it wasn't as you had planned? Didn't you guys test this and see that you were able to use multiple on 1 camp. I'd think that if that was in the design of this buff, it wouldn't have been in production this long. You would have 'pulled' it a lot sooner!

I also think changing the school to be better - is horrible as well. I bypassed getting the school, as it was useless and wasted space. Now your making it better - and those of use that didn't get it when had the chance - are screwed.

Understand if we have the buffs we can still use them, but the MSE's that we currently have - should still drop just as they did previously. Create a second adv that does what you now choose...until you change your minds next month. 1 week notice isn't enough time to complete these adv that people took time into getting during the event.

I think the only reason they are changing the buff is not because the 'mechanics' are wrong, but because they think they can sell them for gems. Its the only explanation I can think of that explains why they allowed them through testing and to last this long. So many players use them to run quick adv, that BB/Ubi have recognised the money making potential of these kind of buffs.

You suck sometimes. You've gotten a few hundred bucks from me. So I'm stupid. But keep trying to ensure you never get another penny from me? Maybe you're stupid too?

• The Bone Church is available as a reward for one of the new adventures. It provides space for more settlers.

I like this, hopefully it gets people doing them. But thats gonna depend on the pop size

100 pop

what size is it though as space is a issue

same as imp store house I think. at least that's what it looks like in test forums

I had a guild mate who had on on test before it had pop, It is same shape and size as improved store house. So if its 100 pop. at that size I wont be able to place it on my island. I would if it was same or better then witch tower pop per space ( that would be 150).But better then no pop like it was

I posted my feedback on this already on test server.

100 Pop is way too low for bone church. Considering that frozen manor is 140 and it is 2x2. Bone church 3x2.

Bonechurch should be 140 or 150 at least to make up for the oversize.

It will just be one of those buildings you get once and don't care to try any more.

Thank you for fixing the disappearing road problem....its been driving me crazy !!

I see. Makes sense. That's what people have been using them for lately.

Why do the devs/Ubi care HOW we use an item they created?

It has generated interest for high level players - and now the devs are pissing off said group of players.

There is already a limit to how many we can purchase any given day but now you feel compelled to limit their effectiveness, too? Just because YOU don't like how WE players use it?

BTW, we have been spending Star Coins on these weapons - instead of converting to gems - which you would think helps Ubi since we then have to buy gems the old fashion way...

I'm done trying to persuade devs to spend their time "fixing" the game rather than "nerfing" it. SO, let me be clear: IF WPP/RS are MODIFIED or REMOVED, and there is no effective replacement, THEN THE CLOCK BEGINS on when my gem mines run out...AND I'M GONE.

ok I see that the "bonus" XP/Beans/Star Coins was not intended. but them they "fixed" the to take XP/Beans/Star Coins for using them now the plan is to nerf them even more? don't get me wrong but it seems someone is just doing stuff off the seat of their pants. what's next? is the new gen that's going to cost all these eggs going to get nerfed later too? we didn't give these buffs the abilities your programmers did. and now they are being made to be more of a novelty to have instead of a combat multiplier. a lot of players sunk real money into the Christmas event to buy gems to get adventures to get these buffs. can we expect the same to happen to the new general too?

This makes no sense. Explain the Small and Large Catapult which completely destroy small and medium camps?

Do you mean the buffs are being used to clear entire sectors and that was not their intent?

I find it hard to believe nobody in dev saw this coming? You make a WPP that takes out 1 type of enemy in a camp, ...nobody thought we would use more than 1 on a leader camp? What a CRAZY turn of events that is, we are just too clever.

unfortunately, this and the village school upgrades set a precedent. yes, the new general can be nerfed. yes, frozen manors can be nerfed. yes, End of the World trophies may hold population in the future. yes, halloween tombs may start converting wheat into granite. useless items may become useful. useful items may become useless. i don't how long the village school has been on the game, at least a year, but the WPP and Range support have been on for 4 months and now bb says they have not been functioning appropriately and will be nerfed. so really, just about anything can be changed for better or worse.

Well, by the seems of BB_Rawren posts that we should be using the Ranged Support and Weak Point Potion to weaken the camp to the point where we only need to use like 100 Recruits or less recruits to kill the camp. In the end we are suppose to use our generals.

The Small and Large Catapults is for taking down the small/medium Bandit Camps so that way you can use less troops to clear the adventure. But people are using Ranged Support and Weak Point Potion for killing the Bandit Leader camps and then the adventure finishes in like less then 1 minute.

Like the adventure "The Dark Brotherhood" you only need like 4 Weak point potions, 1 ranged support.... When you swap loot spots, 2 People place Weak point potion then you Finish the Witch Tower with a Weak Point Potion and Ranged Support and then boom! Adventure done! Which the Devs probably didn't want you use them like that but to only weaken the Leader camps by using 1 range support and 1 weak point potion and then sending in Generals to finish the leader camp off.

regardless of intent of these buffs might have been they were tested-released-nerfed-nerfed again-nerfed once more-and now yet another nerf? upsetting your player base with changes like this will only drive away more players. remember the ford pinto the issue with them catching fire was resolved quick but the stigma of the problem lead to thier dimise. in a bussiness that caters to an online community it's bad bussiness to upset your player base. the lvl 50s using these really don't care about the few hundred troops they save, most use them to farm adventures for resources. just pull the buff replace the loot on MSEs with the watered down version and kill the MSE adventure and make it ppl only run once for the dumb quest and get it over with. the efforts of your staff should not be in reworking stuff that isn't broken and should be consetrating on broke stuff. the school shouldn't change a imp school should have come out( to be honest i probably won't get it now either) but i do feel i was cheated out of not buying the ones before because they were well worthless.

I am with @TheGreatMatt: hard to believe the devs didn't have this branch on their logic tree...and now the "anti-fun police" are swooping down to take our toys away! (UBI/BB: "Oh no! They're playing the game how THEY want to, not how WE want them to play!! Let's change the rules!!") BOOOOO!!!

@RomanGodCamper: I don't need an explanation from you of HOW I use the WPP / RS; perhaps you're just now discovering their utility as many of us "clever" players already have? Have you missed out on the fun??

I don't believe your name is Blamuut, so i don't think my explanation was towards you. but... man.. make up your mind, your calling yourself Clever! What do you want?? A explanation or not! Don't ask questions if you don't want them answered!

in the end dev/bb do what they want and the players just have to deal with it or play another game. sad but that's how it goes

This is true. Ubisoft/Blue Byte owns the game. They have 100% full rights to do what they want with it.
