Man, I thought it was just me! I've experienced the same thing but chalked it up to fat fingers.
I remember seeing some discussion about that on test server a few weeks ago. I think it's a bug.
so now instead of 100s of clicks to refill our troops, its thousands? FIX THIS GARBAGE BEFORE BRINGING IN MORE GARBAGE!
yes,. this is an old bug discovered on the test server and implemented on live knowing it was there.
yup this has been happening since the 2nd to last previous maintenance --- also on baskets, fish platters and sandwiches in prov house. but only on the 1st batch... since it was 'known' about in test server -- then its not a bug but a feature :/
it's because no one reads the forum on test. it was there a while and reported but some how made it to live. i don't know but if my doctor started doing this i would find a new one. just saying
yep 19 the slot gets locked
A double click is in order to move it
ouchie
Thanks to all the people who need to cheat and use mouse recorders.
Then when they implement countermeasures, we all pay.
If it was the intent of introducing this problem to foil mouse emulators, this "feature" would not do much. If an emulator was used in series, the portion that would be affected would be when the program would click the right arrow 24 times to move the slider to 25, before clicking on the action button. If the slider freezes for the first iteration, all it would mean is that the first stack would contain 24 units, with the rest of iterations producing the normal 25 units. Assuming that the person is doing a significant amount of cycles, as why else use the program, this is one unit out of thousands that would not be made. Even if it happened randomly a significant number of times, it still would represent only 4% of the total troops at most. And sadly, the mouse emulator can simply be changed to click on the right slider arrow 25 times, and that would provide the double click needed to correct the issue, and simply fail to advance the slider past 25 when the bug doesn't occur.
why do we need a countermeasure to a counter fix the play came up with -- there wouldn't be a need for mouse emulator workarounds if they listened to players and fixed the barracks and ph.... (personally i didn't know people were even doing this prior to the CL reply)
I gave up on this one long ago.
The post was more directed to the concept of introducing bugs to block things that players do. Not only would introducing bugs for this purpose be shameful, it they were going to do it, they could at least be competent about it. There are some changes that could be implemented that would seriously hamper the ability of a mouse emulator to work that would be almost invisible to normal play. However, as the mouse emulators do not use or modify the communication between the client and the server, I don't really see where they should even be an issue.
Wasn't there another post at the start of the thread, where the issue was brought up in the first place? However, I do agree with you - it is not usually a good idea to post that you are finding problem using a method you don't want to advertise.
I brought it up cause although it's not a big deal it is annoying. god knows I don't want them working on it cause who knows if it will work after they try. I for one find it a pain it brings my unit numbers all screwy. I know a lot of ppl don't care but thee fact is it was an issue imported from test where it has been brought up and discussed. the new features that have been coming live lately have seemed bugged or have baggage. it seems to me that little or no effort has been put in for some time to resolve bugs before they make it to live. and when an issue on live starts to get addressed it only seems to make matters worse. I hate buying gems not knowing I this game is a priority anymore.
Not sure if anyone noticed, but this appears to have been fixed.
Mine wasn't as of 5 min ago.
That's really strange, because it works for me know. Select troop type, click far side of bar, it pops up to 25, done.
It's still in effect for me, as well. Didn't it only affect the first batch made after a refresh or something like that?
always the first batch after logging in and the prov house does it too. always need to double tap it
seems ok for me, but will try again tomorrow just in case.
still doesn't work right for me.
Me either
I thought it was my mouse or something
I hope the developers will do something about this.
I wish they would add another slider bar to increase the amount of times you want the previous 25 troops made so to ease the wrist of creating 2k troops at once. Would make it a tad bit easier if you added that to the barracks & to the provisional house as well. Not sure how many players out there only make 50 troops or 50 IRMA's anymore, but the larger adventures with 3k+ troops requirements & then the time consuming sliding of the bar for those 3k troops that just died is getting really old
Starting to rethink my money spending habits & look elsewhere for a game thats easier on the wrists & a lot quicker as well
