No notice maintance
Any thing under say 12 hours or even 24 is a no notice maintenance, people work and have lives so get the info out there sooner especially when its a day early.
I came home from work at got a page that says its down severs are going to be like 1/2 a day and forum does not work, that tells me the site crashed, but since they did not get the notice out in time it effects players.
GET THE INFO OUT SOONER

I just put a weekly reminder in CuteReminder last week so I remember to not leave my gold chain and exotic wood running overnight. I thought I was prepared. Then it hits a day early and I get stuck having all that stuff running/collapsing. Subscribing to the official maintenance thread with instant updates by e-mail. An update was posted, but I just never saw it.

As soon as the CLs heard about it, we started posting every hour or so in the chat tabs. I know it was unexpected, but we tried to get the word out as soon as BB told us.
-
I have to apologize for the short notice. In the future, I will endeavor to post maintenance schedules as soon as possible.

Players lose resources by having their level 5 gold mines go empty or just by not being able to buff their gold or beanstalk production. How will you compensate? As a starters a compensation baggage would be in order every time you have maintenance with less than 24 h prior notice. Say 100 gems per maintenance hour. Or course for many losses are much more than that.

compensation...really? try doing something else, like a walk outside, or sleep maybe. read a book. find a gf. its really not that big a deal. just dont run your chains overnight, esp. on days there might be maint.
ppl act like this game is a job or something, where youre getting paid. yeesh.

Days there might be maintenance? Apparently that can be any day of the week.
-
Typically, maintenance occurs on Wednesday at 11:45 PM PST/ Thursdays at 2:45 AM EST. This week was an exception.
-
With the chat issues that where happening I assumed a maintenance was inbound. A little common sense goes a long way.

Regression testing wouldn't hurt either.
