The balls will be very helpful !!!!!!!!!!!
And a big thanks from me to BB. I can use anything you give. Thanks again.
200 gems buys 250 soccer balls. 200 gems at easter bought 66 eggs.
Not sure if this is the right place, but in a guide for the world cup matches it shows screenshots of balls and star coins as rewards, yet it only pays out balls and exp - never any coins. Anyone know why?
Thanks
You have to a lvl 50 to get star coins in place of experience.
I just wanted to post my feedback regarding the number of awards given out to the participants of the community prediction league. Only 5 people from all the servers are being announced winners every week. There is a ton of servers in Europe alone and the number of winners is disappointing. 5 people per week, considering how many players there are around the world is a JOKE. Five per server would be more fair, although 5 per nation would also be acceptable. Don't tell me BB is that stingy.
SAME PROBLEM THIS YEAR AS LAST YEAR WITH THE EVENT: THE SPECIAL DOORS NEVER OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course, this is probably a built in deliberate 'flaw' to get us to spend gems in order to open it, right?
Cuz i am still waiting back from Customer Support about this continual problem. Just like last year, every time i come
to a Special Door i have to contact CS. Kinda takes the fun out of the event for me.
(And yes, i selected the item at the right hand side so plz dont anybody post any stupid reply about needing to do that, thank you).
After completing 2 games I have no more event quests, they are locked.
I also am disappointed that I lost building permits in the beginning.
Support has been no help.
Also not all the doors open on the calendar.
Other than these three issues I do like the event.
Why the heck are people complaining? LOL IT'S A NEW STUFF, EMBRACE IT!!!
I love the new explorer, had him skilled to the top on day one, it's marvelous, I want more of them lol - hope you'll make them available for gems later... Everything's great... keep it up... love...
boring
For some people, that's part of the fun and I think the only reason they stick around. Sometimes I complain, sometimes half seriously, but then I also let them know I appreciate/enjoy the new stuff. Whatever bugs may be in the event, at the end of the day, it works itself out and provides me with new game items that I otherwise would not be able to obtain without spending gems, if at all.
Click the item you want to select then you can open the special doors.
On winning the quarter finals the reward was TEN balls? Seriously? All those buffs and items for TEN Soccer Balls? Whats the reward for the Semi's? A swift kick in the ba....
The rewards for the quests for doing the event adventures is low. The reason for this is that the big reward comes from the adventure loot. While it could be done either way, the benefit to providing the soccer balls from the adventure loot is that the premium bonus can be applied to it. As the adventure loot runs in multiples of 100, this bonus is significant.
As for the event calendar, it is the same as the previous Xmas one. The golden doors give an option of what prize to choose, so you have to make the selection of which of the door prizes you want to receive before clicking on the door again to get the reward you choose.
The quest for the world cup is certainly not trippin balls...
I just hope (and pray) that they give us some way of getting rid of these collectables when the event is over. (and something smaller than 500 balloons for 1 coin; I still have those things.)
You can easily sell them before it's over. The pricing is absurd, and I assume people are actually paying those prices regardless.
For that matter, considering how expensive everything is, I wonder if it doesn't make more sense to just sell collectibles and buy soccer balls rather than bothering with the quests.
The only complain I have is the amount of collectibles is so unbalance I have enough sliding tackles to take out an entire soccer team. I would love the option to covert them at 5 to 1 for another one.
This makes sense. Therefore I doubt we will ever see it.
could you make this any more un understandable
Lousy. At least you are consistent.
Ty, BB_Stokely, that was an interesting Dev diary! I am glad that you did not use military campaigns!
However, getting items to make enough of the right buffs is very difficult, and people have been taking advantage of that egregiously in the trade menu :P The greed and unfairness is overwhelming. (This holds true for most regular trades as well.) Lower level players have no hope of having the overinflated amount of resources asked for in order to get even a single soccer ball, shoe, or spring. :( :( :( In the future I would suggest that you tweak your game design so as not to bring out the worst in human nature, which significantly degrades enjoyment of the game for those of us desperate to just make enough buffs to finish the quests to get enough soccer balls to buy those rare items b4 the event is over! Make it fun, not stressful, please :)
Even with "strategizing" to pick the buffs that will use the least amount of rare collectibles to create, I am thinking there will be no way to make enough for the last batch, which is highly discouraging. Btw, I have played every day of the event, at least twice a day to get all the collectibles when they show up on my island. The most needed, probably in this order: Shoes, springs, studs, grease. **Maybe the game can send us a gift package? I always appreciate those!** Not to mention soccer balls!
Good idea! For me it's corners, for one thing. Passes use slightly less shoes to produce (still WAY not enough shoes, however, developers take note please!), so I am not making any corners.
Collectibles are always unbalanced. If I see yet another useless barrel, for instance, I might scream!
stone mason and marble mason are most used buildings ?? Residence? (I hope they mean noble residence?) I'll agree with Farm. But the rest is not really.Quote:
The farm, stone mason and marble mason are some of the most used buildings after the residence, hence, level 6 option was added.
I'm going to assume its Noble Residence and not Residence.
I agree with everything Mimi wrote. In addition to the things you can't possibly get enough of or buy at any reasonable price, there are the things that there are too much of and you wouldn't even be able to give them away: wet grass, twisters, telescopes, also have too many corners, possibly shoulder pads and helmets. Couldn't you all balance things out better as far as what shows up on the island and what the explorers bring back?? Thanks!
I have changed my mind. I liked the soccer event, for the most part. There is one day left before the final match is released. I have all the buffs acquired to do it. This took a lot of number crunching and brain work. It was different and helped elininate my boredom. I do have a lot of collectibles that I haven't used. I wonder what I can do with them?
I had no interest in grout. Lvl 6 farms would only cause me to do a bunch of moving and removing. I could upgrade mines without a problem, however if the initial quantity of ore stays the same it would mean I would have to spend more time searching for new mines. Not something I realy want to do.
All in all I think it was a good program.
Thank you.
the only thing that doesnt make me happy is the level 6 only for masons and farms, should have been to all buildings, hopefully it will be added in the future
The event has been fun and despite my initial reservations about the level 6 farms, I have now been able to upgrade my friaries to level 5 without the addition of more farms. Something that would not have been possible before.
I gave up on bothering to get enough buffs to get through the finals. I probably could, but I decided it was not worth it. The cost of the collectibles (whether I were to buy them to have enough or sell them and take the profits to buy soccer balls) outweighs the value of the rewards for them.
Just read over the little fluff piece on the event. Didn't see anything answering why the materials for the buffs were provided in such an abysmal manner that it is near impossible to get the required buffs without vastly overspending for them.
it seems there's tons of collectibles available, its just a matter of finding the right people who have what u need, and people that need what u have. guilds really help with this aspect...or should. i tried to sell some of the rare ones at decent prices, but found that the resellers would just buy them and mark them up. so now i'm just giving stuff out to ppl on my friend list who need them.
I've noticed an imbalance with the ratios of what collectibles we seem to need for the event (particularly where shoes, studs, springs, and banana peels are concerned) versus which ones we seem to find the most of/don't need as much (or may not need) of where the ones we seem to need the most of, are very scarce whereas the ones we don't need as many of, have been the most plentiful. In talking to a friend who also plays, they've commented on the same thing--and same collectibles even. The rates for them in the trade wall for the ones needed have been largely astronomical in terms of the cost or else unaffordable.
While, for the most part, I like this event--and that we have so many days to try to complete it and do so piece-meal as opposed to a regular adventure that would have to be done in a certain order, along with the new explorer and the fun graphics--I'm honestly not a fan of the collectibles ratio with respect to the ones that are most needed also being the most scarce to come by. :/
I have enough red paint left over to paint my whole town!!!!! HINT HINT
I know this has been mentioned repeatedly, but a big drawback of the new summer event was the ratio of collectibles needed to complete the adventures. To illustrate, I have 2 events left, and whereas I have 500+ of common collectibles (pads, studs, wet grass, etc.), I barely have enough of the rare collectibles (shoes, springs, gloves, etc.) to make a single buff.
The problem, as I see it, is that explorers are almost exclusively bringing back the common collectibles on searches - the wet grass collectible being the most common find (currently have almost 1000 of those). Rare collectibles should have appeared more often during these searches.
The high cost of obtaining the items is not ideal. I'm usually very excited for events because gaining access to special buildings/buffs/units during the events and the related trading and activities that go along with it is quite enjoyable. The scarcity designed in this event had the opposite effect - I lost interest weeks ago when it became apparent that obtaining the items I wanted would come at an extremely high cost. I'm perfectly alright with making it difficult to obtain items - that makes events fun - but the scarcity of organic collection (adventures, searches, collectible finds, etc.) in this event has created a highly inflated marketplace. This appears to be a trend with newer developments of the game (such as FT/epic items). While I believe that has created added value to the game, it doesn't mesh well with a short-term event. It's taken me months to collect enough beans to purchase a single FT item - I don't have months to collect soccer balls to purchase event items.
Aigil, the rare items you speak of...explorers dont bring those back at all. They're only found on your island, and in much fewer quantities. That, and the sheer number of springs and shoes required for the matches, has contributed to the shortage.
