Wanna get another 3 years out of this game???

Ever wonder how many players have left this game for good within a month of reaching level 50???


Maybe this has been suggested a bazillion times..........but it's so obvious!

The first rule in VIDEO GAME DEVELOPMENT: FEED PLAYERS EGOS!!!

Simply increase player experience levels from 50 to 100 and the race would be on!!

Everyone would be scrambling to see who could be the first to level 51.....then level 52 ........then level53 .....and so on!!

Players would be purchasing premium time right and left to get the 50% extra experience points from adventures!!

Everyone would be far more concerned about the race to get to the next level than they would be about complaining about the little things!

Unwittingly.....when you stopped player development at level 50, YOU KILLED THE GAME

There ya go BB ........... all problems solved!! (takes a bow...high 5's all around.....cheers from the adoring crowd)

There would be no point in increasing the levels. The Star Coins and FT Adventures where end game content for this game.

How long before people reach level 100 and return to saying the game is dead because it does not have PVP?

So do the results speak for themselves? Are people finding that 'end game content' enough? I have seen several 50s quit since I started playing, and others who are sort of in and out, or just send their leftovers to friends because that's all there is left to do. I am personally rushing to 50 because several guildies are all at the same level, so we lightly egg each other on. I would love to have more levels to 'rush' to. :)

its not attitude, he has a point. Star coins(While right now have no real use, or very limited use) are only available after 50. If you increase levels(which is pointless given what levels give us currently, just a bunch of pointless low reward/high cost quests to do)players would once again have to 'grind' to max level to get coins again.

No what the game needs to keep strong is a 'reason' to strive for something, as it stands even BEFORE 50, its stagnant, since we do the same thing over and over, no real strategy or planning needed (Beyond a certain point) and its just about amassing our resources to sell and amass more.

And the dev's seem to think that the best and most unique and 'out of the box' thinking is to add 'moar collection stuffs'

The dev's have to really sit down and start to work on the stuff we ASKED for and what they PROMISED before adding more pointless fluff NOBODY WANTED.

Pointless fluff nobody wanted???? I'll bet if you took a poll of players who would like to see player levels increased to 100, it would be far more than 75%!

Ya........I'm done spending money here. I'll keep logging in to help guildies and keep my island from crashing, but moving to a PVP format and a game whose devs give some creedence to what the players have to say. Sorry BB but ya' don't seem to care about what your players want.

Of course the result speak for itself. The only thing that is probably keeping most people is the Events that happen.

omg just what i want to do... get experience back instead of starcoins :| Why the heck would i want to run more pointles experience adventures to get back to the top lvl to get star coins and be stuck there again? This thread is idiotic imo, star coins were made to clearly be the cap for lvls (@50) expecially since they used to have the ability to find granite mines and *** ore depos at lvl 51 and 52 and they removed that, so ontop of star coins, the devs definitely (imo) have made the lvl cap 50. I like that they are implementing lvl6 buildings, now lets see lvl6 for gold chain and bakeries where it really matters.

Sadly (in some cases more than in others!), all games end. The ones we love, we play again. If we could have a second island, start over (gasp!) and use our existing character/island resources to help our new guy out, it would be fun. We could use our experience and knowledge to optimize things, or at least just change it up for a new look and format. But as I understand it, it's not permitted? Can anyone clarify?

No.

How to improve (fix) TSO has been discussed at great length. The islands are what they are, the limits are there for reasons, the space is too small and more of the same is failing to serve novelty.

Time and energy may be best spent developing new islands that address the key concerns of new and veteran players. Larger islands, player versus player, larger armies just to name a few.

Accounts, levels, some buildings and storage could all migrate to the new islands.

I can dream can't I?

There is no point in raising level caps. What happens when people reach 100? The problem still remains. Raise it to 200 ? Raise it to 300? This is not a solution. Raising level cap is just going to delay the problem like they are doing right now with silly new buildings.

PvP is the solution. Player generated conflicts and player generated goals.

I've never been a fan of PVP anyway, so I can't imagine it encouraging me to stick around or not.

New islands to explore. That is what is needed. Then PvP for control of these islands.

Raising the level limit (I'm not even touching the SC implications) might extend the interest of some of the players, but is not the change that most ppl (who already played 2-3 years) are looking for.

levels are levels, and there is never a game good enough to have infinite levels. although island swapping and other cool tricks this community could do well can easily be exploited even more than I think anyone would bother to believe.

Read the patch notes. It even stats it there as well.

Striving for goals and/or working with other players to make/achieve something is a big key to keeping people interested in this game. Things like player conquerable islands, guild banks and PVP being things that BB has discussed in one form or another that fall into this type of content in my opinion.

Wow...you really don't know what 'end game content' looks like, do you? Star Coins and FT Adventures?? Star Coins are 2nd hand toys and FT adventures dead-end the moment you don't need beans any longer -- not true, really, they dead end as soon as you have sufficient economics to just buy the beans out of boredom (which is what I'm doing, trying to manufacture a reason to log in). Castle? Pointless once you have one person with one in the guild. Gold Towers? pfft, waste of effort. QM? Only useful to run FTs and completely unnecessary.

"END GAME" is always a moving target, games require growth to continue, they must add complexity, flavor, and texture to the game to retain the interest of the playerbase because they will have optimized their responses to all the previous challenges. Good grief, this is Game Design 101...

Clearly, your misunderstanding everything.

The guys wants them to add in more level which is pointless... End game is at level 50. After that, All you got left to do is get Star Coins, Beans and do all other content that the Devs may add in.

Seriously, how hard is it to add pvp for more end game content? Is it really that hard of a project to initiate with? Seems like BB is looking for "small" projects for instant profit or interest of the players.
Adding pvp would mean less resources for newbs though, so it's a win win for me.

Probably. I have no idea what they are doing for PvP... They may end up not bringing it here if it took this long and to get no Pictures/Screen shots of it being worked in progress.

PvP is as someone so elegantly put it "the Fairy Tale Unicorn" the closest we will come to it is this "mines bigger than yours is" acheesment system

Raise the level? Please. That is no inspiration. I've been in this game for over 2 yrs. I didn't see the pt of hitting lvl 50 due to no pvp. It took me literally over 2 yrs to hit lvl 50 because there was no inspiration to hit that lvl other then say "Yea I'm like the countless 50s already here". I plan to be here as long as possible, but will this game eventually? Most likely.

As far as adding content to the game, they really need to get back to what they released to us over a yr ago and that is a road path of this game.
