[QUOTE=Geboren;237999]do you like trains?
not that one, sorry.
lol missed both my questions page 5 and page 6 :(
CL_Aurboth: I see you have done your own programming at an early age; Did you do a lot of assembly? Assuming the response is yes, did you teach yourself, or did you have a mentor of some sort?
PS - Did you do any programming on the Intellivision?
Sorry to say this, as I am sure it will give a lot of negative feedback, but the tagging thing was a programming error that should have been fixed and the game is still paying for it. It gives resources for no effort, created an area where there are issues because of unsupportable trading, and created a situation where players use many times the amount of resources on a single adventure than was anticipated, for less reward. It should not be that complex of a system - if you kill 3x as many people, you should get 3x the loot. Patching up the broken concept has just led to more problems, but there is too much inertia to stop it without upsetting people.
I was programming early on, but also have a degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering, with a minor in mathematics. My early programming was self taught, and in BASIC, but had a lot of education after that. At one point, I was able to program in about 6 different languages, although was probably best at C.
I hear what you are saying and agree. Though, I think BB did take a step in the way they implemented the Coop. adventures. For the most part I like them, and wish more were like Whirlwind and forced all players on at the same time... My only complaint on them is I think the loot is a little lacking in regards to the losses taken.
No, but she wanted me to expand on it. Any online forum has an element of self-policing and fortunately, the system given to us allows people not to have to listen to anyone we find offensive. Historically, shunning is an effective form of social control. Hopefully, it never needs to be taken that far, but the adage about not feeding trolls is commonly ignored, and people are permitted to disrupt the social network of the game. As leaders, the CL's can only do so much. We are not moderators, but do attempt to help players when there are problems. But our solutions should be to find ways for people to continue to play, rather than have players removed.
Which is your favorite flower?
Are you sure about what you think or is being sure not sure enough?
lol still no answer to my questions on page 5 and 7, so ask again.
#1 If you where to visit a foreign country which one would you want to visit, and why?
#2 if they add PVP to the game how would you want it to be, raiding other people's islands or and adventure type map where you could fight random people and have something like last army standing or capture the flag?
what womans shoes do you like to where for a night on the town?
do you and the other CL's chat on skype about who is the biggest brony?
Every so often I toy with the idea of politics, but recall that I am not good at it. It takes a level of compromise for which I am not always prepared. It also puts you in the position, when you try to be honest at the job, of doing what you think is ultimately best for your constituents, even though it may be what they want at the moment.
I really enjoy this game as I can play at my own pace. It is addicting. what is your favorite aspect of the game? What are you looking forward to?
who is you favorite backstreet boy?
From my experience, being sure is not an option that I get many times. In my professional work, you don't have the luxury about being sure about most things, and have to make due with good enough right now. One aphorism that we commonly look to is 'better is the enemy of good'. Given time and more information, it may be possible to come up with better answers / solutions. However, things can't always wait for the best answer, and no answer is rarely the best one.
In your opinion, which should higher level players try to get first, a Major General or a Quartermaster General and why?
Who is your celebrity crush?
who has the best singing voice in Los del Río
The CL's tend to work together to find solutions to game problems, which is what our discussions mostly focus on. With our current group, we have a large amount of game experience and experience helping people in the game, and keeping communication allows us to share that experience between us, to the benefit of whomever we are helping. While there is social chat at times, needed as a lubricant, it is exceedingly rare for players to be topics of conversation.
How long have you been playing this game??
The Major General allows larger attacks (270 men), which will ultimately save resources; there is no real replacement that will do the same feature. The quartermaster general acts as transport, and can be replaced with enough other generals or with time. I would go with the Major first, as that would fit with my playing style, as an additional 30-60 minute of transporting people is not a significant game changer for me.
what if your favorite adventure and why
I like working with the economy and figuring out how to make it work properly. The events are also fun, as they can make you play in ways where you otherwise would avoid due to play style. I am looking forward to the next event this summer, the World Cup, as it will be different from the previous events we have had recently.
How many balloons do you still have in storage?
who is your favorite character on Glee?
I have been doing a lot of Surprise Attacks, as they are obtainable with map fragments and give a good return for the troop loss. I like the complex blocks on it as well, as it brings it a higher level than the simple attacks. It is long enough to use a good number of people but short enough to finish in a reasonable amount of time.
