[Ares]Weekly User Trivia Event - Evaluation of the Past 4 Weeks.

Dear Friends, Rivals, Unknowns, Settlers,


I know that when you enter a community the biggest challenge is to be able to become a part of it. Becoming a part of it means that you will find a "team", subpart of the community, or a few people that you can correlate with and start blending in. Part of this process is understanding the dynamics of the community, people's humor, understanding the clashes that might exist between guilds and people and of course the pros and cons of each person (their strong and weak points) and be able to live with these, take "advantage" of them to be able to fit in and enjoy yourself and be enjoyable for othe people.

It has already been 8 weeks since I joined. The game has been really enjoyable and the people really helpful. Ofcourse that isn't the case for everyone as different dynamics develop depending on your own personality and how you treat/handle people. I'd say I'm not one of the most sociable people, but I do enjoy casual conversations and being funny. As the time went on I made lots of friends, casual trading partners, and people that helped me with my adventure on leveling up and understanding the game. As resources started to become less of a problem and i started adventuring a lot, I reached level 41. Whenever I asked people that helped how could I help them the response was everywhere the same.
"Help other people when you are able to." So, I thought how could I help them? One idea came and that was from my old online game I used to play. I used to be a huge pokemon fan, and thus I joined one of those online RPG games that resembled the handheld games. I even ran my own Pokemon RPG game ( I have programming and coding knowledge). On these games they used to run a lot trivia and various event to give out stuff to people. So, did they do here every friday on the GM Trivia events. And there the User Hosted Trivia Event came to be.

The start was rocky, BB's questioned it. It had to be approved. "Who is this new guy". Will he be scamming people? Do you have to enter a fee to participate? Etcetera. Things cleared out quickly. And the fun began. Even though I didn't manage to get the event in the calendar for the last 2 weeks cause I was too busy with life, the event still kept going on every saturday. More and more people started to participate or "lurk". Friends and not took an interest to it. I assume it was a nice relief from the constant grinding of the game a place to hang out. Global-2 became the trivia channel every saturday Evening for the USA Server of Ares. It started attracting people that wanted to support it and a few hosts as well.

So, here is a sum up of the past 4 weeks :

P.S. Be this Saturday 5th of July on Global-2 (type /j Global-2) 9PM GMT+3, 2PM New York City Time we will be hoding week 5 Trivia Event. It will be hosted by Deandra and the topic will be announced today and added to the calendar.

ALSO Special Announcement. Week 6 Trivia event will be hosted ON FRIDAY 11th of JULY On global-2 PM GMT+3, 2PM New York City TimeWith ONLY EVENT ITEMS. IT will be a special Mega Trivia event. AMI BOY will be providing stuff along with anyone willing to. This will be a special and will give you an oppurtunity to get mats for any of the buffs you didn't manage to make to finish your soccer adventures in time.
