I have come up with one solution for you: 170 Soldiers + 9 Cavs will get rid of Mary + 9 Dogs
I believe Mary took me two waves but was ages ago.

Well, first off you want to send 199 cavalry to take down the dogs. Reason being, your troops will otherwise hit Wild Mary first, and she has way too much HP before she dies, meanwhile the dogs keep chewing through your soldiers, thus, they need to be taken down first. So, your first General needs to have 199C, who will die but take down all the dogs.
Which leaves Wild Mary on her own.
Depending on which General or even level/troops you have, this may vary, but just going off the most common scenario...
A regular General having 200 unit capacity > 35 Militia, 50 Soldiers and 115 Longbowmen will do the job. Your losses will be just about every Militia and Soldier.
Or if you have a Veteran General with 250 units > 79 Militia, 1 Soldier and 170 Longbowmen will do the job as well. Your losses here will be all Militia and likely the Soldier as well.
Give it another go, clearing the last sector is worth it, not just the space but also the building lisences.
I just have Wild Mary to kill, I already got rid of the dogs. I guess I can try again.
After I got rid of the dogs, I sent mostly all soldiers and a some militia.
