Ok i didn't get the bug memo til i guess it was fixed. Since so many ppl took advantage of said bug can we redo the calander so i can accidently hit the button a few times too? Just Kidding.

It always amazes me that when BB makes an error, the players end up paying for it. When the players make an error the players end up paying for it.
what amazes me the most is when BB threaten to ban the players on there post if they don't delete the extra Improved Storehouses.
I guess they have more than enough income and don't need the banned player's money. :) :)Quote:

Thank you for contacting The Settlers Online Support regarding the recent exploit. Only players who received an email regarding the extra storehouses they received are affected by this. The bug required players to log out for a certain period of time and then back in and go to the calendar to get the extra storage. If you received the message, this is the reason. We cannot compensate for resources lost due to upgrading the exploited buildings. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this has caused. If you have any future issues or questions, please feel free to submit another support ticket.

So... the 24th came and went quietly enough... Did we lose a mass amount of players or did all of the cheaters give-up their loot???? I don't seem to see any significant people missing from guild/chat so I have to assume the cheats were nobody's, or they all gave up the ghost. ^_^

That was the learned message I got from the reply support sent me. See the day before the day everyone got those extra storehouses, I started getting messages from other players in game saying there was this bug and you can get more than 1 of the storehouses but only click it once and you WILL get away with it. Now how the...does people know this bug is present in game the day before it happens? And how do they know BB is going to allow us to keep them if we don't over abuse the bug?Quote:

I recall that early in the life of TSO there was a bug that we all took advantage of. Take a deposit, iron, gold whatever to your friends island. Place it and then quickly return home. The deposit still showed in your star so quickly put it on one of your mines. Two deposits for the price of one. This also worked with buffs. Sometimes if you were fast you could place 3 buffs then get home in time to place the same 3 on your island.
Taking advantage of bug is not new. But the old adage still holds true: "Why is there always enough time to do a job over, but never enough time to do it right in the first place."
