silos, farms and fields
Ok, I realize that the math is in the games favor, but really, here is one of my situations.
I have 4 farms and four silos with 2 medium wheat fields. About ever 24 hours I need to refresh both fields, and that's fine. I made the mistake of replenishing one field with a medium well. Fair enough and realizing my mistake, I opted to allow the well to deplete, but to my surprise, the remaining wheat field did not deplete. For four days now it has been just under or just over maximum full. I'm very pleased with this, two less fields need replacing per day for no reason that makes sense to me. I'm sure there is a formula that explains this, but I've never seen it posted here.
Gonna experiment further with other silos and fields, hope for the same or better results.

if u are at 2 farms and 2 silos it all depends on the distance from the field to the workyards and the workyards to the closest storehouse. you're goal for making those farms/silos dependent on 1 field that you dont ever need to refill by either keeping the distance from the field and storehouse equal times for both silos and farms.

and having one wheatfield per set/section of farms and silos makes it easier to have set at an equal distance.

Well that certainly doesn't help explain why two wheat fields , next to each other, are so much less efficient than just one.

walking distance. That is why. BB designed something, and its not their fault if players dont understand the mechanics and cause odd twists.

the difference could be having all 4 silo refilling 1 field, vs being split btwn the 2

or elves come on when you log off and refill your fields....just a thought
