A chain of embarrassments...
1. BB "new balance" is not a balance at all. Testers clearly see it now. By the additional changes to production chains (completely illogical from economy stand point) the devs just showing how completely clueless they are about their own game. They could be great at coding but they have no idea how this game works. They read posts and adjust random numbers without considering how will those adjustments affect the entire economy of the island/production of specific chains. It is just embarrassing to players to even point to the devs their lack of knowledge of their own game.
2. The changes in the combat system are not clear at all. Lack of knowledge of how the units behave now and why hinders any logical and intelligent prediction and testing. No combat simulator can be made as of now because there are specific variables about behavior of troops/enemies that are missing. Explaining in text is one thing, providing a solid data by the devs is another. I have no idea why the data is missing still and I don't want to guess...
3. Devs idea of "re-balancing" starts to look like a complete overhaul of entire game. Established chains of productions are going to be demolished and new ones have to be built. Players have been designing and building their islands for years, making specific, sometimes very expensive gem purchases (Endless Copper Mine) based on the mechanics of the game as it is. It is not fair to make half of players economy and established chains useless with one radical shift. Our gem purchases were filling your coffers and now you decide you can make some of them obsolete and useless?
4. More and more testers are feeling upset and just shoveled aside because there is lack of communication on devs part. All their concerns are addressed with same answer "We are looking into the changes and this is not final one yet". And then the additional changes done by the devs to production chains are raising even more concerns, they are going to not only made bronze/copper production obsolete but also disturb and put iron/steel production on its head. Flipping numbers is NOT THE ANSWER - as many established players kept telling BB in their posts.
5. BB is slowly yet surely alienating and upsetting testers with their lack of knowledge of the game and lack of vision of how the changes will affect the entire player base. Reducing number of adventures realistically playable to 1-3 per week (average player without all the luxurious gadgets from gem shop). Increasing the time and amount of "chores" to do everyday in order to even play an adventure (finding, building, upgrading and buffing iron mines). Increasing drastically the cost of doing any adventures and at the same time reducing the rewards from it. And finally a complete redesign of player's island economy, demolishing lev 5 chains and building new ones, moving very expensive buildings and adding more of them, figuring out how to set the production chains with odd cycles...
6. It is clear the BB devs DON'T play their own game, lack the knowledge of what is important to players and what attracts and keep players playing it. Players from all servers are concern and upset with what is served now on test servers. Even those who were welcoming the changes to combat question now the reasoning (or lack of rather) behind the changes to specific production chains. Where is this going? Guess we will soon see.
Btw, the proposed changes are being tested at the same time with Halloween event. It is almost impossible to figure if some bugs in halloween event are caused by the new balance or the event itself. The Halloween this year might be a complete fiasko because of this mix. Get ready for some bugs to pop on life because there is just no way to frisk them now on test.
