the new loot tables are Junk
if im not mistaken, it shows WT dropping in RB ls now... wow.
Haven't done an adventure in over a month. This patch will assure that I never do anymore going forward. I guess I can take my island back down to 3-4k pop, and put in more production plants.
Hmm, it looks like Motherly Love will be much less frequent. It also looks like Motherly Love will be much less worth doing, so I guess it evens out.
Will RtBN still drop books? I need to know if I should hold them for a rainy day or sell them off while they are still worth something.
i dont know how accurate this loot table is- it is showing that you can also get WTs in The Shaman, 2/2 times- i doubt that...
No more FM in Nords2?
No WT in DB?
No DC in BK?
Whassup!?!
Perhaps they are trying to get rid of the old players and add a bunch of new ones?
More income!!!
We will see how it works. Hope it does not damage my enjoyment. even if it does thanks for a game I enjoyed even if for a short time
Well what are we looking at on that page. To me it seems people who have run an adventure are putting the loots they get. But that doesnt constitute the loot table. There needs to be 100s before that can be determined.
Now it does seem perhaps no FM in Nords2 but i still think it takes more testing.
The interesting things about the loot tables are:
*Epic loot gets 2x separate spots - you can get 2x the same or a mix. I wonder how are the % of chance to get each type of loot for each slot
*Outlaws is the only adventure that offers 3x epic loot slot. Both RB and BK (the workhorse of farming loot today) only have 2x slots.
Since the amount of epic loot was reduced this might actually move people to do more Outlaws for farming than BK/RB. Since Outlaws is 1 person advie (no loot spots) it might explain why it has 3x epic slots. And on top of this Outlaws are removed from being bought by map frags into gems adventure on test.
Obviously those are just samples from test. We don't know what the loot tables really look like since BB didn't bother to post a change log on test. Once again, we are asked to test and then showed how much our "input" is valued. O, well.
if you're looking at the loot tables posted on kampfkatze and look at them closely you'll notice they are lots of double posts of the same loot. idk if it's just a mistake or what but the ones under RBs with the odd number of star coins are exactly the same, what are the chances? and the one for shaman all of a sudden has 10k+ xp and a WT drop? so i would side with caution before making huge plans on what to run using this site as reference. right now a wait and see is probably your best bet before doing or buying something from the shady traders out there
I did Nords 2 on test and got a FM. they only have limited screen captures so far.
I won't pay gems for Outlaws (or any adventure), which is practically the only adventure I run, as I primarily run them for experience. I guess I could go back to doing Horseback, a much quicker adventure, though it would slow my progress quite a bit unless I ramped up my weapon production and did twice as many.
Looking for Outlaws on Test, I don't see it listed at all.
:(
Already have a couple dozen. That should keep me busy for a couple months anyway. Prices have about tripled in the past week, though they are still reasonable. I think I might go ahead and use my stash of science stuff, though, which I can refill easily now that I have all those fish farms. I have enough to make map fragments for about 125 adventures. That would keep me busy for a good long time, enough to hit level 50 at least, then I can worry about what other adventures I might want to do when I'm not going just for experience.
If they pull out Outlaws from adv searches and only offer it for gems, hat would be a very dirty move. Hopefully, they will not. Could someone on test try to do few adventure searches and see if Outlaws still drop? Would be appreciated. :)
From the Adventure searches I have been doing on the test server we are going to be flooded with Outlaws on the Long Searches.
I have a questions to BB that may or may not be answered.
With taking away weapon drops (other than ponies) from Loot Slots and having granite drop less. Plus the increase drop of Salt Peter, which everyone hates by the way, will make adventure doing something less players will be willing to do.
Is your plan to drive players away with this change? Newer players will feel this sting before older player that stockpiled weapons. New players are more likely to spend money on your game over older players. Once older players burn through that stockpile, how do you plan to keep them here? Or do you not care because we are older players?
With less granite dropping means even longer to upgrade the expensive weapon chains you are forcing players to use and in no way can it keep up with what is lost on some adventures. The high death rate with no way to recoup those weapons through other adventures means our adventuring days can grind to a halt in some cases. Players that are not doing adventuring to entertain themselves soon become bored and move on to other gaming sights and you lose players and revenue.
If players suck it up and go along with the changes. Then the point I am making is mute. But if players leave the game in droves do to these extreme changes. It's too late, the damage is done and how are you to sweet talk those players to come back to your gaming platform? I could have lived with a drop in amount of weapons we got from adventures, though having them stay the same would be even better! But to lose them entirely seem to wide of a change for giving the community the ability to do PvP if they so choose to.
The price you made the community pay as a whole for the right for PvP was too much in my books.
After the Christmas event, I will decide if the changes you are forcing upon me are worth my time and continuing financial support. I'm only 1 player here, so my voice might not mean much to you BB. You claim to listen to the voices echoed upon these forums. We'll see if our voices are heard and understood as I feel I'm not the only one upset at this upcoming weapon change in the loot slot drops.
I do not understand what your staff is trying to do accomplish with these changes.
Seriously, coal, iron, hardwood logs, copper for loot? Those resources are easily accessible on my island. Why would I do an adventure and waste the weapons? A slimmer chance at granite, also, Really? Again, where is the incentive to do adventures?
To say the least I am very disappointed you did not listen to the players opinions. You asked them for their time on your test server, you asked them to take their time and post their feedback and you treated their efforts poorly.
I agree wholeheartedly with TLC. You are asking us players to do more for less and as in any venue such does not go over well and people start to shop around.
Unless you have a positive spin that I am not seeing, I will make time for the Christmas Event, after that since there will be no incentive to do adventures, there is really no other reason for me to be on your game, but to do maintenance on my Island and say hello to my friends. Then, sadly, it will be time to shop around.
A long time player, Ariesee
I totally agree with TLC1 If we are not going to be making the same amount of weapons or more in the Adventures then Adventures will not be worth making the effort to even play.
The price to upgrade the buildings already cost too much and takes way to long to gather Granite. Now with the loss of weapons to rebuild in the adventures going they will not worthwhile playing.
Seems this game is taking away stuff that some of us depend on to rebuild our troops while with the other hand they have it out to take more money from us.
I always play a premium account but starting to think I should go back to Tribal Wars at least there they give players their money's worth. :(
If anything you should be lowering the prices for Premium accounts to make it more accessible to all players (some are living on fixed income and could use a a good break in price for premium) and give us more adventures that will be worth playing before most of us throw in the towel and spend our hard earned money elsewhere. I hope someone reads these posts and will answer the questions asked.

removing weapon is probably the best thing they have done. you're suppose to have weapons chains, they have buildings to build, and getting granite isn't as hard as some make it to be. weapons will be cheaper and faster to make so instead of that huge bread chain maybe it's time to invest in all the buildings put to your disposal. i'm saying you have all these building you can make, will make them try to become self sufficient, it's not that hard. once you start making everything and not relying on all the vultures in TO you'll see it's really not that bad! so build, make, and kill! you'll see it's way better than a million weapons dropping in every loot. yes this change should have happened a long, long, long time ago but ROLL WITH IT!!!
Well, they did nerf some rewards.
They also improved the loot for a lot of other adventures.
just like having to touch the "wet paint" sign to see if it's really wet :(
And then there are those of us that, due to real world responsibilities, do not have a lot of time to run and re-run adventures. I won't run any at all, if there's not going to be a benefit to doing so besides a few exp pts toward leveling up, and most of the adventures I have the time to run don't provide enough exp to make them worthwhile. The loot was helpful, but I already have my island's economy pretty much balanced, and so don't need field refills, fish refills, bread and such. This will definitely take a chunk of the interest out of the game for me. :-(
It's really too bad, because I do like this game.
As I mentioned earlier nerfing anything (especially loot) in any game has always ugly consequences. The argument that this "was meant to be since the beginning" is a poor excuses. If it was meant to be than it should have been. Changing loot and making it harder for players to obtain epic resources has consequences. Someone mentioned earlier the logic of making the progress in the game harder for free/new players. Those are potential customers more likely to buy gems (even in small amounts) than players who already had their 10 gem pits ran/running and sit on 100k+ gems.
The result is the sentiment of the game has tanked down considerably. It is not player's fault, it is the developers own doing. 6 months ago our new guildies were excited to play the game, get adventures going, upgrading. Those few new ones we have, just got the "well, I guess I will wait and see if it is worth it" attitude. I frankly don't blame them...
When I think of economics, I would rather keep players that are willing to spend hundreds of gems to get 10 gem pits happy and playing, than possibly convincing a micro spender to drop 5 bucks here and there. Those people willing to drop hundreds in a game will devour new content when its released.. free players... err well..
Any of the good players I talk to in Zues all agree removing weapons drops was a good idea, there is debate on the level of raw resources the adventures drop but the truth is granite is as easy as ever to get (look beyond IOTP). Try adventures you didn't normally do before and I think you may be pleasantly surprised just how much things have improved in many ways. From there use that loot to build the chains to make the weapons you will need in future or sell loot spots for them.
