Just suggesting that the featured news story upon log-in might better be the Christmas Sneak Peek.
Halloween is over and it is a good chance to motivate people towards the upcoming event.



Also, if possible, that ALL the news posts except the featured one be minimized.

This will serve to give a recap posts at a glance and may speed up loading time.
