Weapons 25 at a time? 72 iron bars per new cav? This is a complete joke. Forget about tearing down some nobles to make room for the new buildings and gens. PVP pop is shared with your adventure pop. Congratz BB, I will be actively looking for a new game.
How does pvp affect you if you don't want to do it? It is essentially like the developers putting out a new adventure that you don't like... just don't run it and run the old ones you did like.... it is a completely self contained system.
a waste of time. way to complicated to follow especially with blocks. Way to costly to build units. weapons suck up all your iron and all you can make is a few units. and in the training expeditions all you get is 3 coins???? I'm done with them before they start.
also the rewards aren't worth the investment. getting 116 coal or 44 *** ore for 7 days. it's just not worth the cost.
It would have been easier to stay with this game if the PVP was something that didn't affect the old combat system. It is not like an adventure I don't like so I don't have to run. You reached into the game I liked playing, to add PVP, and screwed it up. I am going to wait the 2 weeks to see how things shake out.
For goodness sakes, you removed two adventures from the shop that are tied directly to a Quest!! What did that have to do with PVP/combat rebalancing?
Where you just too lazy to design new 'bad guys' for the PVP? Was that why you thought there was a need to rebalance the old combat system?
You must have been taking advice from my wife, she doesnt understand why I would spend money and time on this game. It looks like you found a way to make her happy.
I will say I think the rewards are still grossly imbalanced for live servers guys to the devs.
Its about what 10k iron bars for a stack of 100 horses... so lets call it 40k iron bars to take 1 small colony (in theory)... so lets say we take the gold ore colony thats 55 per 6 hrs..
40k iron bars + coal + horses(etc) = 1500 gold ore over a week.........
You see the problem right? right?????
(I know the numbers will be lower by a bit because of melee troops being more reasonable but the point is still important)
first of all, let's stop calling this new thing "PvP"...there is 0 interaction or competition against other players.
I understand production is up for 2 weeks. You might want to shut off a few things for now.
just make it reasonable. i don't want to waste resources to get less back and I don't want to spend all my time waiting on iron so i can blow it on 4 or 8 military. you don't even give an idea of what it takes to win these darn islands. and a week is way to short to hold it. make it like a month and make it affordable to make troops. otherwise you are wasting my time. and how about spelling out which troops have splash damage and how that works. even on regular adv it's a guessing game. And how did you change adv like fairy tale? I don't even know what to make to ensure victory. the entire thing is a mess. you put everyone at a standstill.
This game just got killed, the lag is so bad and camps after killing reappear to get intercepted and go through double troops. PVP needs to go
After having this update and having so many lag issues. I have to say Blue Byte is killing the experience for players right now and instead of keeping them around, they are getting angry and leaving.

OK, In good faith I built the necessary items to do the PVP and tried to complete the first expedition. After building troops for 2 days I ran out of time to do the expedition, not to mention iron ore and coal. I would like to be able to sell back my Marshals, troops and weapons. I do not do a lot of post but frankly. I'd like to return my marshals. You guys/gals really need to rethink this or reduce the cost. The troops could be a 1/3 of the price and still be considered expensive but it may be a bit more appealing. As it is now. To make the weapons/troops is costly, cuts into your population for real adventures and frankly it is not that enjoyable. Did we really need marshals? Why couldn't our generals work as well? Was so over enthusiastic, I got way too many marshals and started building troops and weapons ASAP. Tried my 1st colony and canceled all training and production. Will not even play it.
i just did my fisrt island and it is a nightmare. no way is this balanced. you know you just made iron more valuable than gold. entire thing is a mess. won't do another one.
now i find out i can't send more troops to find the island!!!what a joke you owe me about 10k iron and somew gems or i'm not spending another dime on this darn game.

i want my money back on marshalls too. after creating troops at that stupid cost... and buying 3 marshalls. i attempted the training exp... but there were NO guides or anything -- and i'm sorry but your 'help' screens are not helpful for someone who is not 'combat minded' -- we need real step by step guides (which is why there are so many guides out for other adv). i find out that for some inane reason i cant run an adv while an expedition is running... they're different gens, different barracks, different weapons building -- but i cant run both?? messed up. -- so the gq comes up for DP and i cant run it... eventually the training expedition runs out of time (oh ya - 2 days is plenty when you've NEVER done one before - not)... and my marshalls are coming back w/ no rewards. cause there was no tutorial or guide or anything. already not interested in real colonies - want my money back on marshalls and my resources back on the 2 bdgings i was instructed to build.
Many years ago we in the Army called this a SNAFU.
The training expedition isn't hard, just takes a little thought that's all.
Part of the fun is not having your hand held, give it another shot read what each troop does think things through and experiment. You will be fine. Taking colonies is easy and fun.
@Raub jeez ouch to the Invasion of the Nords that IS a real jerk move since they were only purchasable with gems. I agree you should get a refund for good customer service IF you used gems to buy them.
Been waiting for almost three years for PvP. Many, many good players have left because you kept stalling on your promise for a PvP aspect of the game but I stuck around. I had hope that given all this time, your development team would come up with a great feature. Unfortunately, you have not. This lame attempt at PvP is a real FUBAR part of the game. I suppose your hope was that people will buy more gems. That will not happen now. Not with the piece of junk you rolled out. I have tried it and it is not worth the time, effort and resources I am spending. If I were you, I would take it out of the game, listen to the players and rework PvP into something they want and that is enjoyable (And don't take another year to do it.) Also, I have a lot of the Nords2 adventures. Terrible idea to take away frozen manor from the rewards. All those gems I spent....down the drain. (One of the main reasons I ran this adventure was to get the FM.)
I wonder if BB is even reading this. Testers warned them about how badly those changes are going to be received by players, repeatedly warned BB about the impact of the changes to loot and about the cost vs reward ratio on pvp expeditions. Deaf ears. It seems BB lost the concept this is a business not some card game played by buddies. We understand BB needs gem sales. Unfortunately, the devs own actions are pushing people into NOT buying anymore.
Since most of the dev team is way younger than me here is a tip: You kids need to grow up and take this seriously because you are playing with fire (your own jobs). In case you don't care anymore about this game in the spring of the new one coming, if you burn people in the old one most will not bother even checking the new one. Read some statistics on how game companies suffer from bad rep. People do not like being cheated of their money and they remember who pissed them off.
When I started playing the game most of players prized your game for being free, fun with option to spend money. Check your forums and chat for sentiment now. You have pissed off A LOT of your customers (or potential customers) over last few months. The consequences are coming for yah.
Get your head in the game, start answering questions and easing up on the "screw you players we are gonna do what we like" attitude. It doesn't matter what you want. It matters what your customers like and how you go about it.

i'm really ticked now. you changed the loot of Invasion of the nords and instead of either an arctic mine, arctic manor or two snow i got a lousy useless ornament!!!! And I had to pay 1500 gems for that. Get a grip this is rediculous. you owe me an artic manor or 2 snow.
This type of thing is VERY VERY true and should generate hate. It is ugly and mean to have an adventure that is the only way of getting FM and then to sweep them out from people who spend gems (lifeblood of the game). It is also plain stupid to remove the only real item in the shop that would encourage people to actually use gems who already have mature islands but need more pop. I would have thought this was a fairly large revenue stream for BB compared to other gem items.Quote:

No guides! This is pvp keep all advantages to yourself share with nobody! You never know if its going to be your colony they steal. Not a chance i'm helping someone punk my 66 granite per 6 hrs.... it would break my spirit...

Well, reality check for yah. You are in a CUSTOMER SERVICE field, so get used to your customers whine when you mess up, when you change the rules, and when you don't answer your customers questions or fulfill (at least to some degree) their wishes.
People are already asking for return on Marshals because they don't like the pvp features. You didn't think of this outcome, did you? How about removing the only source of FM in the game? DID YOU TELL ANY OF YOUR CUSTOMERS ABOUT YOUR DECISION? Testers asked you for loot tables data you gave us nothing. Now you are surprised people are upset? Seriously? Wow, just wow... I HAVE WARNED YOU ABOUT THIS SLIPPERY SLOPE that loot nerfing is going to bring. And here it is.
START TALKING and ANSWERING YOUR CUSTOMERS QUESTIONS. Or this is going to get much worse... Your game is failing because of your own doing and you are alienating your player base with the lack of communication. Meanwhile, instead of doing it, you are making videos of how much the developers love the new pvp features. Apparently, the developers are the only ones who love it...sigh. Why do I even bother typing this...
Cost of of the expedition forces is way too high. I used 16k of iron to make the troops required by the quest. Cost of the iron alone is 16k coins on current market prices. I used about half of my troops to claim one small colony. And what do get in return? 1736 exotic wood logs with market value of 800 coins. If had known before hand that I will lose the colony production after 7 days, I wouldn't have bothered with whole thing. Also the idea of two separate armies is really bad.
One Armory is not enough.
Players should be compensated for any units lost in the pvp tutorial.
The uniform cost to make the various pvp weapons is not logical and creates rigid price points making the weapons less profitable to trade.

My thoughts for whatever it's worth:
1. This is not pvp. I dont know what to call it though....fighting npc's on an adventure type setting is not pvp. not having any real time access to a colony to interact with other players, change troop stacks, positions etc is not pvp.
2. I give it a month or two and all the time and money invested into making this so called pvp will be a waste as no one in the right mind will be doing them. As many have mentioned the amount of resources it takes to make the required troops to do even a small expedition compared to the reward is way out of balance. I spent between 420-460 units to do a small expedition. aprox 24k iron bars used to make them. cleared the map and my reward was 109 titanium ore 1170 iron, 520 exotic logs, 21 horses, 52 settlers and 400 meat deposit. the colony i chose was +110 iron/6h...if it lasted the whole 7 days (which it didn't) it would have returned 2k iron ore. With that example given running 1 decent adventure can net you same if not more rewards for FAR less losses and a lot cheaper resources.
Sure I have to admit it was fun doing the expedition. Figuring out pathing, blocks, troop loads, etc but unless the rewards are at least to brake even point i will not bother with it ever again.
Loot: Not going to say anything about the weapon drop change as it is what it is. I may personally not like it but dont mind it either. However, why have sooooo many slots? reduce the amount of slots and just bump up the loot. I'm wondering if it's just to confuse people and make it seem they are getting a ton of stuff.
This part is not a complaint but an observation. with almost any adventure dropping settlers as loot, the new option to send loot straight to storage is kind of ...well for lack of better word stupid? it's either opt for the convince of having things go to storage, have pop maxed out at the same time or send things to star and click for 15 minutes.
The mouseover pop up thing:
At first I thought this was a great feature. mouse over a camp or your/friends garrison and get troop load info however after doing 20+ adventures with this feature i wish there was an option to turn it off. It gets in the way when sending multiple attacks and garrisons are setup too close to each other. or when 2 camps are close to each other.
Rest of the stuff. i guess i like enough so good job.
OK I have taken quite a few colonies over the past few days, set a few up to be lost to test out the system and am comfortable saying I have a fairly experienced opinion on the topic. So onto the feedback.
1) The new combat system is better as at least there is an active component to switching out troops. That said I am not sure why the system tells us what troops will come out next so we can put the best possible troop up against it... Have it a surprise so people get the short end of the stick from the NPC every once and a while. As is it is too predictable and micro management to win no matter what.
2) Blocking works well and it is nice that you lose troops to blocking, however terrible design on the 3 type of blocking troops. You really only need 1 type as no sane person will ever use the archer/cav blockers due to cost when they could just add 10-15 more of the melee blockers.
3)Static build points are terrible. Some islands are hard to take others insanely easy even after you allow placement of 1 building it only means someone has to expend an additional few troops. It rarely triggers mass interception so camps need to be cleared. Poorly implemented imo.
4a)Rewards are not bad at all- I think people complaining about them havn't taken the time to learn the mechanics of the system. I wouldn't increase the hourly rewards for titanium granite, however the coal and hardwood could use a big boost so people will fight over them too.
4b)Rewards for winning a colony are bad. Bump them up a bit. Rewards for defending a colony are rediculous. Instead of just valour points ship a bit of loot with it too as then it will be exciting when your colony survives as well as give more incentive to be active in the arena.
5) Cost of units is fine for melee. I understand that it is a good thing to have the counter troops cost extra, however I think you went a bit overboard. The cost is just insane for anyone wanting to use bow/cav. Remember how everyone in the game uses recruits for everything? Bravo you have created a new system that will be the exact same with everyone using melee troops only.
6) Blocking feels too easy. I think you need to tweak the blocking mechanic so that it isn't so simple.
There is a real lack of depth to the system but mainly lack of real reward for the system. There needs to be tournament brackets or ladders. SOMETHING that tracks competition and encourages people to expend effort. There needs to be actual rewards to buy with the valour coins (whatever you call them). That shop is the worst designed shop I have ever seen in this game. But a building in there or some x4 buffs, or maybe a new adventure or two that can only be got through that shop that has interesting drops. DO SOMETHING with it that encourages people to explore the system.
I also really think you are missing out on gem sales/content by not having at least 1 pvp island upgradeable defenses wise as well as production of resource wise. Give something for people to care about and expend effort on so that it encourages activity. I want to be ANGRY when someone takes my colony that I have expended effort on, not think well that will take me 2 mins to replace.
Not sure how prices are on Zeus ( i though they were higher) but how are rewards not bad at all? Please give me an examples of troops vs reward from one of the "quite a few" colonies you have taken over. As it stand on Ares based on TO prices from 2 or 3 days ago per unit price of a pvp troop is between 60-130c. 2k iron ore reward from my example above is worth at max 1k coin in todays inflated prices. so i would need to take over a colony with less than 20 troops to make it brake even. No matter how much you "know" the system machanics, you can't tell me that's possible. When it doesn't make sense it doesn't make sense no matter how much you want it to......Quote:
