I like everything. Except the things that are stupid.
I've been running colonies for a bit now that I got the bug fixed. The balance ratio of expense to pay is grossly uneven. I spent 38,000 gold running a colony all the way through with blocks but defeating every camp. I did the math on the troops lost. The adventure pays out 77 granite every 6 hours. If I get to keep the colony the entire time its worth 2156 granite, at market value that's worth 10,780 gold. I decided to attempt my best to block and walk around every camp possible and only kill the map boss or a few other camps. Using only attack infantry and minimum attack cavalry (Attack archers are useless, they loose more troops vs infantry than infanty vs infantry... I dunno I didn't write the math code) and it costs me about 3,000gc in the most favorable of circumstances. If that's true it takes a minimum of 3.5 days to recoup your money invested before you have the chance to start making profit.
I dunno why, it's much to expensive, to attack and take from another player but keeping the colony for 4 days is a task. This math only applies to the Granite colonies. If you get outside of granite (currently going for 4.5-6gc/a piece) then I do not believe you can make money controlling any other colony for the entire 7 days.
Unlike other complaints I don't care if the icons appear to be the same as other, or the fact that their is minimum player interaction in a feature labeled pvp. I enjoy colonies and the new speed mechanics and added blocking troops. I do believe this feature is a great money sink and is not rewarding at all for participating. I can aquire 10k granite in a 3 days at half the cost running other adventures multiple times a day.
The cost of cavalry and archers (again worthless troop) cost far to much to make, and the payment of resources need increased drastically. I would do both of those things if you have any hope of many people participating in the feature. Thats' not to say I wont be, i'll be taking granite and experimenting with marble/titanium but to really get players into taking lands from others and going into the colonies time and time again you need some major improvements. Those colonies I take are un-owned not cause I don't want to take from others and brag but because taking a colony from other players is really just a lack of knowing simple math.

From what I'm reading Tinaras, PVP would be more rewarding if the rewards were improved? :-)
guys this is way too complicated and hard. i can never figure this out and i have to stay away from this one.
I've never been able to figure out PVP -- some of us don't have 'military' minds... and since they are all different you cant just grab a guide... i've never conquered a pvp colony - not ONCE have i been successful - not even on the tutorials... soooo who wants to constantly fail at something -- this is supposed to be fun.... i'm doing PVP.
